Chapter 1254: Law Categories
Anthony shook his head, then finally rose to his feet with a sigh. He gazed at his Mirror Dimension for a moment in thought. The First Human had been able to peer through his Mirror Dimension with ease, and not only that, the dead Asura from yesterday had shattered Infinity with a single palm strike.
The Mirror Dimension and Infinity were both absolute abilities in the Acarnis Lower Galaxy, but in the Ecliptica Galaxy and the Hellinder Realm, they were simply paper before these people who could manipulate Laws.
Although Anthony had already prehended the Law of Space to almost one hundred percent, he hadn’t incorporated it into his Infinity yet, but he wasn’t bothered, as he could acplish that with a single thought. That way, any attack against him would be halted as usual… unless it was an attack empowered by a higher Law, such as a Unique Law or a Universal Law, and it also had to be highly prehended. One couldn’t simply shatter his Infinity with eleven percent prehension of a Universal Law merely because it was a Universal Law.
Anthony didn’t hesitate. He immediately got to work. With a thought, Infinity unraveled around him. He stared at it for a moment, and with his current understanding of space through the Law of Space, he understood why it had been so easily destroyed.
He couldn’t help but sigh. Looking at the current Infinity, it seemed even weaker than a sheet of paper. His mind couldn’t help but drift through the countless times he had teleported in the past, throughout his time in the Acarnis Lower Galaxy.
Each time he teleported, he left behind a spatial disturbance that only those with Laws, Concepts, or Authorities could perceive and follow, allowing them to track him to wherever he had teleported.
Anthony smiled and shook his head. ‘Truly, Laws are busted abilities,’ he mused to himself.
With another thought, Infinity seemed to solidify as space itself began to seal shut. It became sturdier and more powerful, causing attacks to slow down the moment they approached. Anthony stared at the Infinity before him. With his current control, the Asura wouldn’t have been able to break through Infinity if the four-armed man tried again, but alas, he was dead.
Anthony’s mind shifted to his Spatial Mark ability, the ability he had turned into skill books and distributed to his friends and family so they could teleport across Galaxies with ease. Although the ability possessed the effect of ignoring spatial restrictions, that effect became practically useless under the influence of Laws.
After all, Laws allowed one to defy reality itself, depending on the depth of their prehension.
So, with the Law of Space, Anthony began enhancing every space-related ability he possessed, one after another. As for his other abilities, there was simply no immediate need for Anthony to improve them.
Law prehension was generally divided into three different categories.
For example, for someone with a low prehension of the Law of Flames to use it, they first had to possess the ability to ignite flames through Origin Essence before enhancing the resulting flames through their own Law.
People called this category Law Enhancement.
It was precisely because of Law Enhancement that one needed an affinity with a particular Law before they could begin utilizing it. After all, how could your Law Enhancement strengthen a fireball if you couldn’t even create a fireball in the first place?
However, at a higher level of prehension, the Law of Flames no longer required one to ignite flames beforehand in order to enhance them. At this stage, one could simply mand flames into existence, with every flame already empowered by the Law by default. People gained the ability to do this upon reaching ninety-six percent prehension.
This category was called Law Manifestation.
Anthony himself was only a single percent away from entering the Law Manifestation category when it came to Law of Space, as his mental capacity had previously halted his prehension at ninety-five percent. Although, with his recent upgrade in Bloodline Grade, which had significantly strengthened his mind, Anthony was confident he could now push his prehension of the Law of Space to at least ninety-eight percent. The closer one came to one hundred percent, the more difficult every additional percentage became, with each step requiring exponentially greater insight than the last.
Then came one hundred percent prehension.
At one hundred percent prehension, one possessed the ability to take things to the extreme. At that point, the Law no longer required its associated element. The Law of Flames was no longer merely about flames, but rather everything that the concept of fire itself enpassed.
With one hundred percent prehension, one could simply decide to burn away another person’s lifespan, set space itself ablaze, or burn poison directly out of someone’s body without harming the person in the slightest.
This category was called Law Embodiment.
The cultivator’s very existence embodied the Law itself, allowing reality to respond instinctively to their will at the deepest possible level. Even without consciously activating it, the Law could passively influence the world around them to a certain extent, as though reality itself acknowledged the cultivator as an extension of that Law.
At this point, the cultivator was only a single step away from stepping into the level of Concepts.
Although this already sounded utterly ridiculous, Anthony knew that Concepts allowed someone to acplish things that even Law Embodiment couldn’t achieve.
‘I need to enhance the Mirror Dimension,’ Anthony thought to himself as he stood within it.
Surely people like The Decipherer Of The Heavens, The Deceiver Of Laws, or practically anyone powerful enough could sense the Mirror Dimension and tear through it with ease. After all, this wasn’t the Acarnis Lower Galaxy, where the Mirror Dimension couldn’t even be perceived by others.
Anthony remained silent for a moment. He breathed in, then slowly breathed out. To enhance the Mirror Dimension, all he really needed to do was strengthen everything within it using Laws… or… he could simply enhance it through Thought Conception.
With a thought, the Thought Conception and various Laws came alive as Anthony simultaneously manifested both. He immediately began strengthening everything through Laws, as his mind still wasn’t powerful enough to use Concepts to reinforce the entire dimension.
The trees strengthened, growing taller, thicker, and more majestic as Anthony infused them with the Law of Vitality. The earth hardened beneath his feet as he infused it with the Law of Earth and the Law of Hardness. The air itself became purer as he infused it with the Law of Purification and the Law of Air, causing every breath to feel cleaner and lighter than before.
He strengthened space as well, his mind moving rapidly as he overlapped the Mirror Dimension beneath the already existing reality, much like someone hiding an object beneath a mat or tucking it beneath a couch where no one would think to look. At the same time, he reinforced every layer of space surrounding the dimension, weaving the Law of Space throughout it until each layer became vastly more stable than before.
As Anthony continued upgrading the Mirror Dimension, a sudden thought surfaced within his mind.
What if he infused Laws directly into the Mirror Dimension itself?
