Putting all of his strength into thrusting out his spear as fast as possible, Valyr imdiately felt a great chunk of Pri Azure Energy disappear in response to the skill he activated, forcing him to grit his teeth as he continued to track the dark entity with his eyes.

Unsurprisingly, the Vessel of Envy found dodging the young man's attack a breeze, swerving to the side of the blood-red spear as if it were a leaf being blown by the wind.

However, contrary to its relaxed and fluid dodge, its counterattack was anything but, swiping down at Valyr's chest with all the might it could muster.

"[Turtle Parrying the Waves]!"

Knowing that he would undoubtedly die even if the entity were to only land a single hit on him, Valyr did not hesitate to use the faux precognition skill he picked up from Jekyll, slowing down the entity's attack long enough for him to take a step back.

Then, without hesitation, he swung his spear upward, conjuring a massive wave of Pri Azure Energy that briefly showed an image of a large azure turtle.

"Hiss…" Watching the Vessel of Envy's attack backfire on itself multiple tis stronger than before, Valyr swiftly sucked in a cold breath of air at the damage value that appeared above its head.

At the sa ti, he brought up the description of the parry skill he just used, wondering what changes Pri Azure Energy exactly brought to the techniques one of his strongest skills had.

'Since it returns the attack at four tis the power, then that's… over 120,000 damage?' Doing a bit of math in his mind, it did not take long for Valyr to find out how much damage the entity would've dealt to him.

'You're telling a simple attack from it is enough to cut my HP in half?' Naturally, the answer he got more than motivated him to keep a fair distance from the Vessel of Envy as much as possible, being reminded of the massive gap that existed between the two of them.

Though he was able to make up for the difference in firepower with the help of his skills, the sa couldn't be said for his defense.

Even if it was already far above what a normal peak Rank 4 class holder would have.

"Grrrrgghhh…" With a great chunk of its health lost before it could understand what was going on, it went without saying that the Vessel of Envy grew more incensed as it looked at Valyr, wanting nothing more than to charge at him and strike once again.

Yet, just as it thought of summoning all of the strength in its body to close the gap between them, the dark entity quickly realized that it couldn't move whatsoever, feeling as if a heavenly entity was pushing down on its body for it to stay in place.

"[Dragon Cutting the World]!" Of course, Valyr already knew to take as much advantage of its current state as possible, reminding himself that the opportunity in front of him was rely temporary.

With that, he summoned a great portion of his Pri Azure Energy once more, swiftly closing the gap between them before slashing down directly at the Vessel of Envy's head.

"…Goddamn." Although he already knew what Valyr was capable of the mont he parried the Vessel of Envy's attack, Riekan was left at a complete loss for words the mont he saw the blood red number above the entity's head.

"Holy shit." Of course, even Valyr was left at a loss for words at the amount of damage he dealt, not expecting that even the Damage Restriction System was helpless in stopping him from dealing over a million damage.

Sure, he used [Warrior's Eyes of Slaughter] to ensure he landed a hit that was guaranteed to deal triple the damage.

But for that damage multiplier to deal over 1.5 million points of damage on soone like the Vessel of Envy, the skill Valyr needed to use had to be powerful enough to do so.

Thankfully, the change brought by Pri Azure Energy allowed it go beyond even his wildest expectations.

Seeing that the Vessel of Envy beca as stiff as a statue the mont his attack depleted the remainder of its HP, Valyr took the opportunity to bring up the skill he used in his mind once more, eventually going through the other skills he had yet to view as well.

'[Four Paths Azure Liberation] truly is the strongest skill in my arsenal.' By the ti he was done, the young man let out an awe-filled sigh as he compared the skill to the other powerful attacks he had yet to unleash.

As Valyr took the current opportunity to replenish his reserves of Pri Azure Energy, the ground surrounding them began to shake once more, with the Vessel of Envy acting as its origin.

"What's happening now?" At the very mont the dark entity's health went below zero, Riekan imdiately relaxed as he thought the trouble was over. However, the sudden rumbling made him tense up all of a sudden.

"…It's about to resurrect." Considering that he was the nearest to the Vessel of Envy between the two of them, Valyr could clearly sense the threads of vitality gradually thrumming with greater and greater strength over ti.

Feeling that it wouldn't be long before the entity made its move again, Valyr quickly shouted at Riekan, "Cast all your defensive skills on !"

Before Riekan could even snap out of the shock Valyr's words brought him, the Vessel of Envy quickly made its move, shooting out a beam of dark energy from its mouth.

Feeling a great sense of danger from the beam, the young man swiftly allocated all his Points of Aspiration onto AGI as he cast both [Refined Mana Shield] and [Refined Mana Barrier] around himself multiple tis.

Unfortunately, not even the stacking of the two skills was enough to block the entire attack, with half of the beam's power still reaching Valyr.

"Grh!" Gritting his teeth as he forced himself to endure the remaining part, Valyr eventually let out an inward sigh of relief the mont the attack stopped, only to feel a massive wave of pain radiate from his left side not long after.

"[Phoenix Piercing the Skies]!" Realizing that his entire left arm had been vaporized to nothing due to the Vessel of Envy's attack, Valyr gritted his teeth even harder as he thrust his spear outward with his remaining arm.

With his Pri Azure Energy reserves now above more than half thanks to his tily decision, the young man felt quite confident that he'd be able to kill the Vessel of Envy yet again, especially with the amount of damage each of his attacks dealt.

However, what he failed to take into consideration… was that the dark entity had yet to reveal all of its abilities.

Just as Valyr's spear let out a sonorous cry, the Vessel of Envy disappeared from the young man's sight without a trace, forcing the young man to preemptively cancel his attack in preparation for an ambush.

Bang!

Unsurprisingly, not even a second later, the dark entity struck the young man at his blind spot, causing Valyr to feel a great sense of danger as he forced his body to move aside amidst the terror he felt.

Crash!

Thankfully, Riekan was more than ready to help Valyr out this ti around, casting a series of defensive skills in front of the young man to nullify the dark entity's attempts at ending his life.

At the sa ti, he gave Valyr more than enough leeway to take out a health potion from his spatial bracelet while casting all of the healing spells he had in his arsenal.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

With that, just as the dark entity was about to attempt taking the young man's life once more, Valyr was more than ready to confront its attacks, even going so far as to utilize the blue-white strands of Mystic Energy to shift the odds to their favor.

Due to the speed at which the Vessel of Envy attacked him, Valyr was unable to make use of the powerful techniques he unlocked through [Four Paths Azure Liberation], instead relying on the skill's passive in order to match the entity in terms of might.

Of course, the sa went for the dark entity, with it unable to utilize its beam attack from earlier due to the fight now being in close-quarters.

Then again, with the large disparity in stats that existed between the two of them, it was no surprise that the Vessel of Envy had already sent out multiple attacks at Valyr that aid to take his life in one go.

Unfortunately for the Vessel of Envy, Valyr had support in the form of Riekan, giving the young man tily assistance by conjuring defensive shields and barriers whenever needed.

'This is going nowhere.' Although he was still able to keep up with the entity's flurry of attacks for the anti, Valyr knew that he'd be the first between them to run out of stamina.

Once that happened, it went without saying that not only he and Riekan would be killed, but the entire Caelio clan as well.

And if the Vessel of Envy decided to set its sights even further… perhaps the entirety of Veldanyr.

'I'm definitely going to regret this later on,' thought Valyr to himself with a wry chuckle as he activated a skill he'd been saving for a desperate situation.

But then again… wasn't he currently in one?
