"…Spell scribe, huh?"

Rubbing his chin in contemplation, Julian eventually clicked his tongue and shook his head. "If only he'd chosen any other profession, it would've been possible to transfer the skills he learned over to one of the four main professions."

"Unfortunately, he chose to beco a spell scribe…"

Listening to the murmurs that ca out of the man's mouth, Liam briefly let out a peal of laughter. "Hoh? Am I hearing things correctly? You're actually gonna give up on recruiting Ataraxia into your guild?"

"If the other directors were also watching this tournant, then they might have spare no effort to make sure Ataraxia becos a part of the Blacksmith Guild," replied Julian with a slightly bitter smile.

"In fact, even catching the attention of an elder from the Imperial Production Guild would be enough to get things moving."

"Sadly, the power and authority given to isn't high enough," ended the man with a slight shrug, only to then look back at the three beside him. "How about you guys? Both his magic and combat capabilities are more than enough to warrant your recruitnt, right?"

"For sure." Eliathaea nodded with a toothy grin. "His combat awareness is pretty much at a high level compared to the other participants. Add on the fact that his spells pack a massive punch, he'll beco a great mber of any combat organization."

"The sa could be said if he were to be put in the military." Liam nodded in agreent. "His combat awareness and strength is more than enough for to make an exception and give him the rank of a Major."

"After all, any rank lower than that would just stifle him from going all out."

"…That high?" Julian raised his eyebrow as he whistled out in surprise. "You think he has enough strength to make a difference in the battlefield?"

"Perhaps even more," replied Liam after so ti. "After all, from the records, he's still at the peak of Rank 3. If his destructive capabilities only beco even stronger after ascending, then it won't be long until he takes on the major missions."

"To be honest, that kind of reminds of a certain soone," said Julian after that, faintly smiling as he thought about the feats Valyr had accomplished while at the frontlines.

However, rather than continuing to look back at such thoughts, the man promptly returned his attention back to the tests that were happening to them.

"How about you, Erika?" After watching for a bit more, Julian eventually popped the sa question to the woman to his left.

In response, Erika stared at Ataraxia for quite so ti, her expression shrouding the thoughts that were going on in her head.

Fortunately, she only stared at the young man for a couple minutes, returning her attention back to Julian after that.

"Good seed," she told him, a slight smile adorning her face. "Suitable to beco a high-ranking mber."

"What rank?" asked Julian, rembering that there were 10 ranks a mber of the tower could attain.

"…At least Seventh Leaf."

"I see." Giving a nod of acknowledgnt in response, Julian returned his attention back to the center area after that, hoping to see a few more participants he could rope to beco a part of the production guilds.

At the sa ti, a random thought surfaced in his mind.

'I wonder what areas Valyr would choose once it's his turn?'

"Spell scribe…"

As the attendant muttered the profession Valyr planned on using for the test, a slight frown appeared on the man's face, only to then tap a few tis on the tablet he held.

"Hmm…"

Continuing to interact with the tablet for a bit more, the attendant's frown eventually smoothed out as he looked back at Valyr. "Alright. A special proctor shall be assigned to you shortly."

"While waiting, let explain the rules of the test that you'll be undertaking."

Hearing those words, the young man nodded in understanding, moving a bit closer to hear the attendant's words better.

"If the profession you had was that of the four main professions, then I would've been able to give you a quick explanation before moving on."

"However, as your profession is considered a niche profession to others, most of the rules that dictate your test will co from the special proctor that will monitor you."

"Then again, it's not like I don't have any information to give you," the man assured him. "Although it's very broad, I've been inford beforehand that the thod to obtain a high grade in your test is to inscribe a powerful spell onto parchnt."

"Anything else to keep in mind?" Committing the attendant's words to mind, Valyr went ahead and asked for clarification.

"That'll have to wait until the special proctor cos, unfortunately," said the attendant in return, to which the young man nodded in understanding.

Being given a heads-up that the special proctor would take a while to arrive, Valyr decided to watch the other participants' attempts for the anti, his sights mostly focused on the blacksmiths and the alchemists among them.

Though, every once in a while, he would also take a look at the participants with more unique professions, making use of the situation to expand his knowledge regarding the various professions Greater Beyond had to offer.

Thankfully, Valyr only had to wait for the special proctor to arrive for half an hour, receiving a ssage from the attendant to co to where the proctor was.

However, when he made his way to the spot where his test was designated, the sight of the man that appeared before him briefly left him at a loss for words.

"To think this is how we'd et again." Having been given a heads-up on why he was at the amphitheater, Thaelis looked at Valyr with a smile. "How have you been these past couple of months, Ataraxia?"

"Been doing pretty well, I suppose," answered Valyr with a chuckle in response. "In any case, I wasn't expecting this situation either. I thought the kingdom would have a spell scribe of their own or sothing."

"The kingdom actually does have a few," responded the attendant as clarification. "Unfortunately, all of them declined the request to co here."

"Only Sir Thaelis had accepted the request, actually."

"I see." Listening to the man's words, Valyr faintly nodded in understanding before shifting his gaze back to Thaelis.

"So, Thaelis." He let out a slight chuckle.

"What's your criteria for the test?"
