"Hmm…" Briefly pondering over the question Valyr asked him, Thaelis eventually looked back at the forr with a knowing grin.

"How about we do sothing similar to the test I gave you for your subclass?"

Whoosh!

As those words left his mouth, the man went ahead and took out a few parchnts from a spatial bracelet, only to then inscribe so of them with certain spells.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Watching Thaelis inscribe so of them with spells, Valyr slightly tilted his head in confusion, wondering what the man wanted him to do as a test for the profession area.

Fortunately, a bit more watching was more than enough for him to figure out what was going on, especially once he noticed that the spells Thaelis inscribed on so of the parchnts were incomplete.

"Your test will be split up into three parts," said the man to Valyr, a faint smile hanging on his lips. "The first part is mimicry."

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

At those words, Thaelis went ahead and conjured magic circles above three of the parchnts he brought out, each one seemingly a different category of spell.

"All you need to do is copy the magic circles above the parchnt, add the conversion runes, and make sure that I can use it without any issues."

Seeing Valyr nod in response to his explanation, the man moved onto the next part of the test, which involved the incomplete spells inscribed onto so of the parchnt.

"The next part is completion," said Thaelis. "Before you are five parchnts that are considered incomplete spells. All you need to do is fill in the gaps needed to make sure the parchnts could be used."

"What's the last part?" asked Valyr, the gears in his mind turning as he thought about various possibilities in his mind.

With [Realms of the Great Scribe] under his belt, he knew that being able to copy and inscribe spells onto parchnts was only the beginning of a spell scribe's journey to the pinnacle.

'Since the first two parts only tackle various aspects of the first realm, does that an the last part tackles the second realm, then?' thought the young man to himself, his complexion paling in fear the more he thought about it.

Though his current subclass had given him a skill that allowed him to make use of a few of the abilities a spell scribe of the second realm had, Valyr had not spent any ti with the skill throughout the past couple of months whatsoever.

Fortunately, just as he began to believe that the worst-case scenario in his mind had manifested in reality, Thaelis' next words steered him away from that train of thought.

"The last part is pretty simple."

"You just gotta inscribe the strongest spell you know and make sure I can use it."

"…What's the criteria for to pass that part?" asked Valyr after regaining his bearings.

"Since you're currently at the peak of Rank 3, then a spell at that level of power," replied Thaelis, only for him to then expound a bit further.

"If you only complete the first part, you get Bronze."

"Complete the first two parts, then it's Silver. et all criteria on all three parts? Gold."

"However, if you can inscribe a spell that has a level of power above what an average peak Rank 3 class holder could achieve, then you'll get Platinum."

"Any other questions?"

Mulling over Thaelis' words for a bit, Valyr soon thought of so questions to ask the man for clarification. Though, after going through them in his head another ti, the confusion he felt at first quickly disappeared.

"Good to go." Shaking his head in response to Thaelis' question, the young man went ahead and told him that he was ready, prompting the forr to wish him the best of luck on the side.

Whoosh!

Taking in a deep breath to maintain his composure, Valyr went ahead and transford his pointer finger into a pen tip, releasing a bit of his mana around it before manipulating it with great ease.

'…Oh?' Watching his student move towards the first part of the test, Thaelis quickly noticed the mana that had solidified around Valyr's finger, taking note of the fact that it felt purer and stronger than the mana the young man had shown him before.

Swoosh!

Continuing to remain calm and coolheaded, the young man glanced at the magic circles above each parchnt, pushing all of his stats to their utmost limits to make sure he committed every rune that made up the circle to mind.

'…Wait a second. These magic circles are obfuscated.' Trying to figure out which magic circle corresponded to what spell, Valyr eventually had a mont of realization, his eyes widening as he gave the magic circles a once over.

'I knew he'd notice.' Seeing the young man do a double take on the magic circles he conjured, a pride-filled smile crept up onto Thaelis' lips. After all, now that Valyr had solved the only twist he'd put into the entire test…

There was nothing stopping the young man from guaranteeing Gold.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

After confirming in his head that the magic circles before him actually corresponded to basic spells, Valyr began to inscribe the spells with confident strokes, greatly leveraging the benefits his mana had during the process.

Once he was done copying all of the spells onto the parchnts without their obfuscations, he then proceeded to add conversion runes on each one before having Thaelis test them.

Getting a green signal from the man that he'd copied each and every spell to the letter, Valyr then moved onto the next part, which was filling in the gaps Thaelis had left behind on five incomplete parchnts.

Fortunately, with his knowledge of the Arcane language greatly increased thanks to Arcane's aid, the young man's experience during the second part was pretty much smooth-sailing as well.

Though there were so hiccups along the way, Valyr was still able to rely on the knowledge he'd accumulated to at least make sure the parchnts could be activated once infused with mana.

'And that only leaves with the last part.'

Staring at the sole remaining parchnt before him, the young man took a bit of ti to regain the calm he'd lost during the first two parts.

Letting out a long exhale to regain his bearings after that, Valyr then went ahead and activated [Archives of the Great Arcane] in his mind, imdiately making his way to the strongest spells he could access with his current rank.

Choosing one of them at random, the young man then proceeded to use one of the slots for the spell, giving him access to the magic circle that allowed the effects of the spell to manifest.

Closing his eyes for a bit to better familiarize himself with the spell's circle, he eventually tackled the final part of the test with unbelievable levels of zen, his hand not quivering even a single bit as he inscribed each and every rune that made up the spell he'd chosen.

"…Phew."

After adding the conversion runes necessary for the skill to work, it was only then did Valyr catch his breath, wiping off the cold sweat from his forehead before giving Thaelis a slight smile.

"So… what's my final grade?"

Hearing those words, Thaelis went ahead and activated the parchnt Valyr had just made, only for his eyes to widen in surprise as he felt an imnse amount of energy erupt from it all of a sudden.

Yet, amidst the shock and disbelief he felt from the parchnt's effects, the man still gave Valyr the answer he wanted to hear.

"…Platinum. Definitely Platinum."

"If even this spell parchnt you made doesn't warrant you getting Platinum… then I don't know what will."
