Everyone was lost in thought.
At the door, a young man and woman, holding hands and carrying gift boxes, approached.
The man was well-dressed in a beige suit, and the woman, though modestly charming, wore a light beige dress of the sa color, shivering slightly in the cold wind with her shoulders exposed.
The man, however, was fully focused in the direction of Mrs. Nalan, and was busy nodding and greeting guests, completely oblivious to his companion’s shivering. The thought of taking off his jacket to put over her never even crossed his mind.
As the young couple drew closer, a relative frowned:

These harsh words made Lan Yingjun’s face turn slightly green.

Just thinking about that scene made him want to strangle Lan Yingjun.
His woman, and Lan Yingjun dared to ss with her?
At this mont, Mrs. Nalan was unaware that Nalan Ye Jue had seen the surveillance. She was just a bit puzzled: "Retreat from what?"
Was it about seeking investnt and resources?
