If it were compared to romance, then the Sea of Knowledge was the mage’s youthful first love when they were most powerless, the Ti Continent was the race of love when they matured, and the Distant Realm was the countless one-night stands of dream bubbles after achieving fa and fortune, while Ruby Mountain was the harbor where all mages grew old in loneliness.
The most frustrating part, not even the reborn Second Cycle Vishi or the cheat-mode Ash could gain much advantage in the Sea of Knowledge. The Sea of Knowledge capped the power limit, allowing only weak Silver Mages to linger, and if you were not weak enough, you’d be kicked to the Ti Continent to endure suffering!
Just like protagonists in rebirth stories wanting to return to their youthful school days to show off, which mage didn’t want to go back to the Sea of Knowledge, this Newbie Village, to show-off a little? The longer they stayed in the Sea of Knowledge, the more ecstatic they felt flying now—like they were daring a Fish-Slicing Dragon to jump out and bite them!
So seeing Filly with wings opting to swim instead, Ash and the others felt like watching soone who insists on using their fingers when they have toilet paper...
At this mont, the maid approached Ash and reminded him, "Filly might really only be able to swim but not fly."
Ash was taken aback for a mont, then imdiately understood Vishi’s implied ssage—Filly’s true self in reality might only be at the level of a One-winged Mage, or perhaps a Two-winged Mage who had not yet condensed the Golden Illusion Wings.
If that’s the case, it makes perfect sense that she hadn’t unlocked the flying skill. Even among Ash and his group, it was only in the Distant Realm that they continuously honed their flying skills, because people aren’t born with Void Wings, and flying isn’t an innate animal instinct.
Even as a Two-winged Mage, very few truly mastered flight, only Holy Sanctuary Mages would consider it a basic ability.
And judging by age, Filly certainly couldn’t be a Holy Sanctuary Mage. Not to ntion Ash, an anomaly, Igula and Harvey are several years older than Filly and were One-winged Mages just over half a year ago.
"Then we can only let Igula carry you." Ash said to Filly.
Igula imdiately objected, "Why ?"
"Because I don’t want Vishi touching her," Ash said as he pushed away the maid’s playful face, "As for Harvey, do you really think he’s a qualified mobile vehicle? I’m afraid Filly would vomit all over his neck."
