Capítulo 1224: Chapter 891: Had Enough

Hell’s Poison will continually grow Void Wings, and once the Four Wings are complete, the Demigod Promotion Ceremony will be triggered imdiately, regardless of where you are, Hell will descend upon your head!

After witnessing Rajesh’s promotion, no mage dares to guarantee they can survive the ceremony, not even Vishi. Hell falls, Four Wings balance, creating a Divine Being, and then you have to deal with the attacks from Demigod Ghouls… If it’s an exam, then the Demigod Promotion Ceremony is like trying to solve an out-of-the-syllabus question while juggling under a ti limit. But once you actually solve it, all your classmates would rush to tear your exam paper apart in this hellish test!

In the past, Ash and the others thought that not publicizing the thod of demigod promotion was a deliberate suppression of Legendary Mages by the Divine Lords. But only after learning the truth did they find the reason behind the monopoly on the promotion channel was heartwarming. It’s better for young people to honestly work in the mortal world, comparing contributions rather than realms; once you want to break through the class, the vested interests will really rush down to take your achievents.

Theoretically, unless there really is a miracle, Ash and the others should now find Harvey to choose their corpse stain pattern.

But in the world of mages, miracles are a resource that can be traded.

“Mr. Igula, Mr. Harvey,” Vishi said with a smile, “Since you’ve temporarily tead up with other teams’ demons, they should try to recruit you afterward, right?”

“…Yes,” Igula admitted frankly, “Yinzhi told that if I don’t want to die in the Demigod Promotion Ceremony, she’s the only one who can save .”

“Is that the level of rhetoric from the All-knowing Weaver’s people?” Vishi sneered, “I bet other teams would be willing to recruit you for the sa price. Right now, for every additional mage on any side, the probability of victory increases, as long as you’re willing to be their dog, the Divine Lords wouldn’t hesitate to grant you an Angel’s seat! Of course, it’s more likely that you’ll just end up dying in the Angel Hunt, saving the Divine Lords even the position of an angel.”

Igula was sowhat puzzled, “Vishi, you’ve always detested joining the Divine Lords’ forces, but isn’t it normal for lower mages to seek shelter under upper mages? All nations operate under this logic.”

“Because a One-winged Mage serving a Four-winged Mage doesn’t hinder a One-winged Mage’s hope for promotion. But if a demigod allies with a Divine Lord, then they’ll be stuck as a demigod for life.” Vishi paused, “Do you rember the Nightmare Angel?”

“The first master of Dream Heaven?”

“Have you ever wondered, why did he bear the na of an angel but remained a roving demigod encroaching on Dream Heaven? And why did he insist on holding up Dream Heaven to ascend to a Divine Lord?” Vishi said, “It’s because he couldn’t create his own heavenly kingdom; his Magic Temple has already been contributed.”

After Vishi briefly explained the concept of the Magic Temple, Igula imdiately realized, “Is the temple the precursor to the heavenly kingdom?”

“That’s right,” Vishi said, “Although I don’t know exactly how it’s done, the temple can indeed expand into a heavenly kingdom, which is also the most orthodox way for a demigod to ascend to a Divine Lord.”

“Although I don’t know how a temple expands into a heavenly kingdom, how a heavenly kingdom continues to expand is common knowledge.”

Igula murmured, “By absorbing other demigods’ temples?”

“That’s the price of gaining the Divine Lord’s protection. Your own temple must rge into their heavenly kingdom, and you will eternally exist as a vassal of the Divine Lord, with no possibility of ascension.” Vishi sneered, “The Nightmare Angel betrayed Heaven due to disputes with the Divine Lord, but he no longer had a temple, so he could only encroach on Dream Heaven and gather strength again.”

“So surviving isn’t hard; just be a dog for the Divine Lords. Although they might turn on you, if the side you’re on wins, helping you ascend to demigod is just a trivial matter for them.”

“If Rajesh promotes outside, the Master of Joy will probably help, and might even send a Divine Being to bear the Fifth Hell. Those ghouls are discerning enough to know that they wouldn’t appear to disrupt the ceremony personally aided by the Divine Lords.”

Filly looked at the silent Ash and whispered, “But if it’s just to survive…”

“I recomnd you ally with the Divine Lords, but I will never do so,” Vishi said, “I’d rather gamble on passing the promotion ceremony than take the Angel’s Path, which to is a form of degradation.”

In a world where even the vilest devil can still find further decay.

Suddenly, Ash spoke, “You won’t seek your own death.”

“I don’t distinguish between paths of life or death, only which path takes closer to the Supre,” Vishi said firmly, “If it’s a temporary compromise, I don’t mind, but the Magic Temple is like Void Wings, it’s the mage’s most important foundation, losing it is akin to losing the hope of reaching the Supre. Compared to becoming an angel, gambling on my ability to pass the promotion ceremony is the most cost-effective option.”

“However, miracles aren’t free,” Vishi looked at them, “Once you bind yourselves to a Divine Lord, you must follow orders to compete for the power of the Source Angel. Unless the side you follow wins; otherwise, you’ll die in this land before Hell descends.”

A massive sense of absurdity spread in the mages’ hearts: not following a Divine Lord will trigger the Hell Trial once the Angel Hunt ends; following a Divine Lord greatly increases the chance of dying in the Angel Hunt.

Ash asked, “Vishi, do you know them? Le Huai, Yinzhi, Long Yuan, Ye Jian.”

“I don’t know them,” Vishi shook his head, “Probably just angels under the command of the Divine Lords.”

Igula asked, “Could they possibly be the will of the Divine Lords?”

Vishi pondered for a mont but still shook his head, “The risk is too great. You can’t even begin to imagine the importance of one’s will. For example, if I capture the will of another demigod, I can basically plunder most of their trump cards. If the Dazzling Star Master captured the will of the Divine Lords, the intelligence advantage gained from just rummaging through their will would be enough to crumble other Divine Lords.”

Igula nodded in agreent, then said, “Other demons can surpass synchronization abilities, allowing us to enhance our magic through Technique Spirit Transformation to a whole new level.”

After speaking, everyone looked at Filly, who was munching on a cantaloupe. Filly blinked, put the rind down, and repeated uncertainly, “Surpass synchronization?”

Clearly, Filly had no clue about this skill. But Igula wasn’t surprised, as compared to other demons with Divine Lord affiliations, Filly was practically an uneducated wild demon. Perhaps, as they speculated last ti, a demon is just a container, and other teams find demons to later insert a mage’s soul to gain an advanced elite demon.

“Harvey,” Igula collected his thoughts, looking at the Necromancer, “do you have any more supplentary intel?”

Harvey, who had been zoning out, snapped back to reality, thought for a mont, and asked, “Igula, why did you say you would die in the Demigod Promotion Ceremony?”

Igula was startled, “Because I’m going to perform the Promotion Ceremony.”

“Then why not simply not do it?”

Igula went over and slapped the curly-haired black head, “Wake up, is that sothing I can decide? Hell’s Poison will keep growing my Void Wings, and once I have Four Wings, it’ll instantly trigger the Promotion Ceremony!”

“Ah, that’s right, Hell’s Poison.” Harvey muttered, “Can you repeat the details of Hell’s Poison?”

“Four-winged Mage is the angel at the pinnacle of Ruby Mountain.” Igula grew increasingly puzzled, “Haven’t you seen it all?”

“Wait a minute.”

Vishi looked at Harvey in shock and tentatively asked, “Mr. Harvey…do you actually not know the contents of Hell’s Poison?”

Ash and Igula froze, staring at Harvey in disbelief.

Harvey remained expressionless, “Now I know.”

“Impossible!” Igula grabbed Harvey, “When Rajesh was performing the Promotion Ceremony, you were right next to watching, how could you not know!?”

“I saw Hell coming, but at that ti I was focused on studying the Billion Ghoul cycle array and wasn’t paying much attention.” Harvey said, “Was I supposed to know?”

“You were supposed to know!” Igula shouted in a loss of composure, “Haven’t you heard of that legend? The thod for a Legendary Mage to ascend to Demigod is to, after forming Four Wings, climb to the summit of Ruby Mountain to find an angel to accept the trial—anyone who saw Rajesh’s promotion scene would definitely associate it with this legend!”

“I haven’t heard it.”

Igula was completely dumbfounded, releasing Harvey and sitting down on the sofa staring blankly at the floor. Vishi asked, “Then before you parted with Ye Jian, didn’t Ye Jian say anything?”

“Maybe—though I didn’t really listen,” Harvey said, “I only rember the details of the Billion Ghoul cycle array now.”

Ash couldn’t believe, Harvey’s aloof personality imrsed in his own world, would actually keep him away from danger at a critical mont…at least it did once.

Yet upon careful consideration, it’s normal for Harvey not to have heard the legend—before entering Ruby Mountain, he was still a Holy Sanctuary Mage! Holy Sanctuary Mages have no reason or qualifications to pursue the legend of Ruby Mountain, just like elentary school students wouldn’t care about high school exam content.

“No, my ‘Ghost Manual’ should have docunted this legend.” Vishi looked confused, “Haven’t you read ‘Ghost Manual’?”

“He claid ghost heritage has nothing to do with the Necromancy Faction, so he never challenged ghost heritage.” Igula suddenly said, “During that period, he was researching the Ghost King Chains of the Dragon Lich, and the contents of the ‘Ghost Manual’ were shared during casual conversations with Ash.”

“He’s always like that, always ignoring what others say, never caring about valuable intel, constantly thinking about his necromancy, talking only about corpses—wherever we stay, the stench of corpses is blown everywhere, even at als we can’t sll the aroma…I really, I really…”

“I’ve had enough!”

Typical of the elegant and composed blonde swindler, he suddenly smashed the glass coffee table with a punch, Filly startled, instantly retrieving the cantaloupe, Rose spreads her skirt, shielding Ash from the flying glass shards, Vishi directly placed himself in front of Ash.

Ignoring the bleeding hand, Igula silently and quickly pushed open the villa door, leaving behind a puzzled crowd.

“Hey, my Void Wing seems to be really growing automatically.”

Harvey picked shards of glass from his arm, speaking with so delight.
