Ash stood in front of the Witch, coldly staring at the Demon with long pink-purple hair.
"Oh my, do you really think I’m causing trouble?" Yinzhi said, puffing her cheeks: "If I really wanted to sow discord, do you think I’d use such crude thods? You can question my morals, but you can’t question my intelligence! Of course, you can’t question my morals either. I’m a perfect and flawless beauty girl!"

Ash grabbed the squid skewer from Diya and threw it over, Yinzhi tilted her head, accurately catching the squid skewer in her mouth, bouncing and hopping towards the food street ahead.

Diya looked at Ash’s palm for quite a while, pursed her lips, shook her head, and chuckled softly: "I’m not a child." Having said that, she walked past Ash.
She knew Ash’s expression must be confused, not understanding why she was distancing herself again. However, Diya couldn’t explain it either; she actually didn’t know how she truly felt.
Back when she was competing with the Sword Maiden, she could remain indifferent because it was a matter of ’having’ or ’not having’. If she couldn’t win, her attitude wouldn’t matter. But now, having the chance to be alone with Ash, she couldn’t continue avoiding the true desires buried deep within her heart.
Because the Sword Maiden was, in fact, correct.
Diya wasn’t infatuated with the Observer of the Void Realm, but with Ash who protected her like a Knight, accompanied her like a brother, and cared for her like a father. She loved Ash from Liss’s perspective, so what she longed for was Liss’s treatnt.
She had tried hard to reestablish a normal lover relationship with Ash, but she also had to admit she could never surpass the Sword Maiden in terms of being a lover. If she really settled for being a lover, she would forever only be Ash’s second lover.
More importantly, she didn’t just want to be Ash’s lover.
During their ti in the Distant Realm, Diya would occasionally find monts to be intimate with Ash. When they whispered and clung to each other, Diya was indeed happy, but there was a subtle hint of disappointnt in her heart.
She wanted to cuddle on Ash’s lap.

But Diya also knew that this was strange, so she never dared to reveal it in front of Ash. She wasn’t afraid of Ash disliking her, but of him genuinely treating her like a daughter.
Though it was out of necessity to confess that "the Witch is Lissdia," and this matter had to be disclosed sooner or later, Diya regretted it afterward.
Now, the thing she feared the most seed to have happened.
Ash seed to transfer his feelings for Liss onto Diya. When he viewed Diya as family, as a daughter, naturally, he wouldn’t see Diya as a lover.
And this process is irreversible. Even if Ash logically understands that ’the Witch’ and ’Liss’ can be separate, once he knows ’the Witch is Lissdia,’ how could he not project his feelings for Liss onto the Witch? Especially when he rembers, he’ll surely discern when the ’white-haired little girl’ is in Liss’s persona and when it’s Diya’s persona.
Ash only cares for her, he’s not ignorant.
He must have realized now that the girl he saved jumping from a tall building, the girl he escaped the Yisu Imperial Palace with, the girl he promised to beco family with, is both Liss and Diya.

In the Witch’s mind, little Liss weakly apologized.
