Chapter 752: Chapter 587: The Princess’s Wedding

This was a creation studio cottage that was extrely cramped yet not constricting.

Inside, the cottage was divided into many areas: the oil painting section with easels, canvases, and paints; the writing section where one could work at a desk; the music section with various instrunts; the dance area with mirrors and foam bubbles; and even a semi-open kitchen… You could find a place for almost any creative activity you can imagine here.

At the counter to the right of the door lay three booklets. When Freyja and the others picked them up to have a look, they realized these were the rules for the building:

“Congratulations to every Mage who steps into this creation studio. Your luck is unparalleled, your works will be celebrated by thousands, you are light, you are electricity, you are the myth of the future!”

“This hall was constructed by the ‘Drama Poet’… Rember this na, because… he is the narrator of fate, the holder of contradictions, director of countless joys and sorrows, witness to life’s separations.”

“Not one in a billion Mages of the Void Realm can match… him!”

“But… is a generous Mage, and thus he specially constructed this drama creation studio to sprinkle his glory upon any fortunate successor!”

“The following rules must be adhered to in this creation studio—”

“① No matter how many people enter the creation studio, and no matter how many works are produced, all must revolve around the sa the. The central idea is important, after all.”

“② Please strike the ‘work bell’ in the center of the house, and then work will comnce until it’s completed. Creators must not be lazy.”

“③ The the and content of the creation do not need to be conceived by the Mage. This creation studio has strategically partnered with Fate Q&A and will automatically find the most morable mont in a Mage’s life for the drama’s arrangent. Life is like a play, after all.”

“④ If you do not create, you cannot leave. Those who do not labor shall indeed die.”

“After creation is complete, junior Mages can receive special rewards from their own works!”

“Can’t you already hardly contain your urge to create? Then please, spare no effort here to display your talents and leave brilliant works for posterity!”

“The Heroic Soul Commander seems unable to enter,” Hanna suddenly said.

The other two also nodded in agreent. They had all read the verbose booklet, yet no one had entered the cottage, indicating that they had successfully escaped the threat of the Heroic Soul Army.

“But we can’t leave without creating; we can’t go back now.” It seed that, having confird their safety, iwa relaxed excessively, and her thoughts began to drift, “I haven’t been back for three days… I wonder if I wet the bed…”

Siflin chided, “You’d better worry about how much salary will be docked for three days of skipping work.”

“Siflin sister!” Freyja’s eyes widened as she pitifully shook the little bat’s shoulders.

Initially, in order to witness the Golden Fish Poison and to rapidly ascend to the Ti Continent, Siflin eventually confessed her true identity to iwa, and then they held hands and leaped over the golden fish together.

But that made their relationship quite awkward. Siflin had masqueraded as a pet for so long, and Freyja also recalled how she used to hug and pet the little bat, so they tacitly agreed not to ntion the incidents from the Sea of Knowledge.

Freyja quickly acquired a new job—as a psychologist’s assistant for Siflin, mainly focusing on the psychological health of patients.

It could also be said that iwa was being kept by the bat.

Hanna wasn’t too worried; recently, she had entrusted Banjee to the royal family’s care while investigating the true influence of the major families in the Kingdom of Gospel and had been sleeping alone while traveling on business. Being absent for a few days would only lead others to suspect that Purple Moth was weaving another sinister plot.

They had finally shaken off the crisis that had plagued them for three days and nights, and everyone couldn’t help but relax, while a strong desire to return ho welled up inside them.

Even if reality were a bit harsh, it was still their reality.

No matter how long they stayed in the Void Realm, they were, after all, just passing through.

After so rest, they turned their attention to the ‘work bell’ in the center of the room. Since they couldn’t decide on a the or content for the creation, the discussion was pointless, so after exchanging a glance, iwa went over to ring the work bell.

Quickly, Freyja settled at the desk, Siflin walked to the canvas, and Hanna lifted the piano cover.

As Purple Moth played a light and bright tune, the little bat mixed her favorite colors, and iwa saw herself writing line after line of text:

“The Princess had lived in Monster Village since she was young, surrounded by monsters, so she believed she too was a monster. It wasn’t until she t the Prince and kissed him that she transford from a monster into a Princess!”

Was this a fairy tale… Freyja had never read a fairy tale; she was raised in a human rearing house of dium status where fairy tales weren’t popular, and the extracurricular reading materials were all about success and biographies of famous people.

“The Princess fled Monster Village with the Prince and ca to a small town ruled by spiders. Unfortunately, both she and the Prince were captured by a small spider. They were bound up in Spider Web, prepared to be offered up as sacrifices to the Giant Spider!”

“In the lair, the Princess t her younger sister—a little Witch!”

Why was the Princess’s sister a Witch…

“The Princess took great care of the little Witch, soon becoming intimate friends who shared everything. The little Witch told the Princess that she had a way to deal with the Giant Spider, but needed everyone’s help. The Princess agreed, and even got the Prince to help the little Witch!”

“They succeeded, but after the Giant Spider died, a Treasure Bead filled with Evil Energy shot towards the little Witch. At that mont, the Prince blocked the bead, triggering the Evil Magic upon it, but fortunately, the Princess grabbed his hand in ti, preventing their separation.”

“Although they escaped from Spider Town, they were teleported to an unfamiliar jungle. However, a local Fla Tribe warmly welcod them, and to repay their hospitality, the Prince helped them repel invaders, saving many lives! In gratitude for the Prince’s kindness, the Fla Tribe’s Guardian Beast resources beca the Prince’s pet.”

“But the Fla Tribe returned kindness with ingratitude, persecuting them instead. The Princess and Prince fled through the jungle for a long ti until the Prince suddenly discovered the little Witch’s tracks. He split up with the Princess, telling her to reunite with the little Witch.”

“Although not much ti had passed, the little Witch had turned into a beautiful Witch, which delighted the Princess. However, they were unfortunately found by the evil Fla Tribe and suffered a ruthless chase.”

“At that mont, the Princess’s Guardian Beast, the Black Crow of Death, appeared!”

“The Black Crow helped the Princess repel the Fla Tribe, ensuring her and the Witch’s safe departure. But the Black Crow also had its own task—it was chasing a Monster transford from a mirror but couldn’t understand text and couldn’t gather intelligence. The Princess and the Witch volunteered to help the Black Crow follow the trail of the Mirror Demon.”

“They discovered that the Prince was actually with the Mirror Demon. The Prince told them that the Mirror Demon was too strong to confront by force; they could only outsmart it, so everyone hid, waiting for their chance.”

Hanna’s music began to take on a rhythmic quality, like an intense prelude heralding an impending storm.

“But the Mirror Demon found a jungle treasure and turned into the Demon King! The Demon King found a way to leave the jungle through an underground passage, and his Monster Army marched towards Spider Town, Monster Village, Star City, and all other places. During this ti, more and more monsters gathered around the Prince, like the Princess’s most disliked Sword Demon. But to overthrow the Demon King, the Princess endured.”

“However, the Prince’s plan was exposed, the Witch nearly died, the Sword Demon disappeared, and the others were nearly wiped out. Most importantly, the Prince was captured.”

The music flowing from the piano gradually beca mournful, like the rapids of an underground river bursting out into unknown darkness.

“The Princess is so scared, so very scared. She cannot be without the Prince, so she seeks out the Sword Demon to save the Prince, but the Sword Demon shakes his head and even tries to stop her.”

“So she goes to the Witch to save the Prince, and the Witch shakes her head, actually trying to stop her too.”

“No one wishes to offend the Demon King, and even the Black Crow of Death flies away, so she decides to go on her own!”

“Just then, news spreads that the Prince is to wed the Demon King.”

“The Prince must be forced, the Princess thinks to herself. So on the day of the wedding, she rushes into the ceremony, attempting to rescue the unfortunate Prince!”

At this mont, the music from Hanna turned sorrowful mingled with anger, like a storm of rain and thunder, mourning in the black night!

“The Prince indeed is delighted that the Princess has co to save him, and he reaches out his hand to her. How could the Princess refuse such an invitation? She stretches out her arms towards the Prince to offer an embrace, responding to this touching reunion—”

“Then, a long sword pierces through the Princess’s back.”

“The Princess’s blood stains the Prince’s attire. White mist rises from her body, like snow-white ribbons, like the most beautiful wedding dress. She almost falls into the arms of the Prince.”

Clang!

Hanna’s music has ended, but Freyja still has two more lines to write.

“At night, the Black Crow of Death cos to the Prince’s bedroom. The Prince says he had no other choice.”

“The Black Crow of Death replies, its killing intent is also against its will.”

Freyja puts down her pen; though her soul does not feel the fatigue, she still unconsciously massages her wrist.

At this ti, Siflin also completes her painting, and when Freyja goes over to have a look, she knows which scene from the story it corresponds to—

On the far right, a faint silhouette of a woman.

In the center, the Prince dressed splendidly holding a long sword.

And on the left, the Princess plunging forward, with snow-white ribbon mist rising from her body, like she is wearing a wedding dress.

This is the scene from the fairy tale at the wedding.

But after they finished looking at Siflin and Freyja’s works, they all show puzzled expressions.

“Whose story is this, after all?”

In the underground hall.

The Observer sheathes their long sword and silently wipes away the blood with an elbow.

Weiser, however, notices that this is the only ti the Observer did not behead but instead pierced the Phantom’s heart. Although it might be because of the Phantom of the Holy Domain, according to the Observer’s style, beheading would still have been the safer choice—

Suddenly, Weiser feels a chill and quickly steps back several paces.

She turns to look at the Observer, only to find the Observer standing in front of the Phantom’s corpse, silently staring at her.

‘Not even allowing a look…’ Weiser muses, deliberately distancing herself from the Observer by ten steps.

*

Snap!

Ash’s sword pierces through the Lord of Mirrors’ back!

Therefore, the Phantom of the trial also gets stabbed by his blade through the heart! The Phantom collapses with a roar, flas flying out towards both of them.

“It’s finally over.”

Ash lets out a long sigh, almost collapsing from exhaustion even though his strength has recovered.

To fight in the Holy Domain with a mortal body, he never wants to do it a second ti.

Every step is fraught with deadly peril, with no room for error, and before wearing down the opponent’s magic power, their attacks can’t do any harm to the Holy Sanctuary Mage.

This is no longer a battle; it is torture.

But he sees the Lord of Mirrors still prone on the ground, so he goes over to help her up, “What, have your injuries not healed?”

“They’ve healed. Just a bit tired,” a weary voice cos from behind the fox mask.

“You fought too hard this ti,” Ash sighs, “to create a killing opportunity, you went as far as desperately hugging the Phantom of the Holy Domain, even I wouldn’t dare do that… Are you seeking redemption?”

“Redemption?” The Lord of Mirrors abruptly turns her head.

“Yeah, on behalf of the Silver Lamp. As her other half, do you feel remorse for what she’s done?” Ash asks.

The Lord of Mirrors is silent for a mont, steps over the corpse of the Phantom, and says:

“Maybe so.”
