Now reading: Chapter 47: Ch 47: Life in Souran Castle and New Plans from Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress, a Fantasy novel by OMNiCiENT.

As Elise and Weiss returned back to the castle, they found about 20 or so n training in the large field of the castle. It was Karl who was instructing them.

Seeing this scene, Elise rembered sothing and reported it to Weiss.

"Mistress Weiss, a few days ago, quite a few ladies working in the castle had asked give them so training too after I have recovered.

Today, so of the village ladies also looked interested in getting stronger. So will it be alright for to give them so basic training as a knight ?"

"I don’t mind. If you’re fine with it, feel free to train them. If any of them have good talent, I can even prepare a specialised secret art for them.

Having the capability to defend themselves will be a good thing for the inhabitants of this village where their lives are in danger most of the ti. So by training them, Elise will actually be doing a favour to , the lord of this domain."

Elise bowed her head and after getting praised by Weiss, her enthusiasm about this training increased even more. She had noticed that there were quite a few good seeds there among the girls.

So with a proper training and Weiss’s extrely useful secret arts, there was a possibility that so of them could even beco proper official knights in the future. Elise was determined to make this impossible sounding idea to co true.

After that Elise separated from Weiss and went to inform the other ladies that they could start their training from the next day onwards. As for Weiss she went to her office room.

Inside the office room, previously only Robin and Weiss used to work. But now there were 9 other people here, assisting Weiss and Robin.

All of them were educated people and had experienced task like this before they were captured and were forced to beco slaves.

Among the 9 people, six were females and the other three were males.

Among the slaves, the females had a higher ratio of literacy rate because a decent amount of the captured ladies were from a good background. While on the other hand, most of the male slaves were regular villagers or runaway soldiers.

But even among the females, there were so exceptionally talented people and Aisha was one of them. After Weiss had taken revenge for her, Aisha’s devotion toward her had beca extrely high even compared to the other people.

She was just a wife of a marchant but her knowledge about trading was better than most rchants out there.

Not just that but her understanding of the economic policies and ability to budget were also top notch. So Weiss had trusted Aisha to be her financial advisor.

With her and other people’s addition, her workload had beco much easier. If not for them, then Weiss would have a lot more work to do.

As she entered the room, all the other people present there stood up and bowed to her. Weiss told them to sit down with a wave of her hands and went to sit on her chair.

Imdiately after that, a bunch of papers were handed to her by Robin. They were all reports that Weiss needed to see and approve as she was the lord here.

She was a very fast worker and she was done in no ti. Now that the new residents were getting used to the new environnt more and more, the workload of Weiss was also getting lighter and lighter.

...

After training all the n willing to pick up weapon for Weiss, Karl was in a good mood. After Weiss had handed him the modified Bloody Slaughter secret art, his murderous impulses had not ca back. This was reason why he was always in good mood.

But Karl needed to return soon to the Night Crow for reporting back. This was making him quite upset. His life here in the Souran castle was definitely more tiring than his life in the Night Crow but at the sa ti, it was much more fulfilling.

As Karl was going to the kitchen to find sothing to eat, suddenly he bumped into Mary, who was senior servent now.

Seeing Mary, Karl greeted her cheerfully and requested so food. Mary smiled slightly after hearing the request and went back to the kitchen to grab sothing.

There was not much ti left before lunch, so she only handed him so nuts and seeds to snack on. But Karl was perfectly fine with it and thanked Mary with a smile before going away. Mary chuckled after this interaction.

After the massacre, she had not thought that she would be able to see a day again when the castle would be this lively and she would be able to have casual conversation like this with other colleagues. This was truly a very happy experience for her.

...

After a busy day, all the people living in the castle would graher together for the dinner. Tonight’s dinner was extra special as they were celebrating Elise’s recovery.

This was sothing that Weiss had started. She herself like to eat together with others and this was also a good way for the inhabitants of the Souran castle to bond together.

During the lunchti in noon, everyone was busy and so even needed to go away from the castle. So dinner was actually the perfect timing for sothing like this.

It was not just Weiss who like this atmosphere. All the other people were also fond of it.

The new residents already had a solid bond with each other because of their shared misfortune, but now they had also managed to make similar kind of bonds with the three old residents of the castle.

Everything was going according to her plans for which Weiss was happy about. But the ti to take care of the Night Crow and the troubleso Count Falgur was also coming. So Weiss would most probably need to leave the Souran territory again.

She could leave the matter of the Night Crow to Karl but without her observing the situation from up close, Weiss would have a hard ti making her next plans.

For that reason, Weiss had already made up her mind to go with Karl. Now that Elise had gotten her strength back, she was even more relaxed about the security of the village.

Weiss had a practice bout with Elise just this morning and according to her judgent, she was definitely the strongest among the knights that she had seen so far. Both the muscular knight she had defeated in the underground base and Karl were not her match in combat.

So now with her addition, Weiss was free to move around even more. So she decided to leave with Karl very soon. But before that, she had one very important thing to do.

Her experint with the beasts was going well and she was very close to creating a secret art for them too just like it was the case for the knights. So she was going to leave after she was done with this project.
