Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress Chapter 48: Ch 48: Creating Monster

After the dinner, Weiss had a eting with her two knights. Karl was very relieved after knowing that his mistress would be coming with him. He was not really very confident in properly hiding all the secrets if he was alone.

At the sa ti, Elise was very disappointed that Weiss would be gone for so ti. She really liked to spend ti with her mistress, so she felt a little sad about this.

But still, she also showed a look of determination and promised Weiss that she would make sure that the territory would be safe under her watch. Weiss was happy to see this.

Weiss was actually very fond of Elise. Since their first eting, she only had good things to say about Elise. This lady was hardworking, loyal, friendly, Intelligence and kind. So Weiss was really very fond of her.

Even though Weiss had a big brother, that person had never really treated her like a little sister. So Weiss found Elise to be sothing like a big sister figure for her.

Even though it was not easy for Weiss to trust others quickly, Elise’s good natured personality was sothing that affected even her. But Weiss did not really mind this matter.

So she was thinking about investigating the matter about the Triston family during her outing too. The disaster that had fallen on Elise’s family was very recent, so news about this should still be fresh.

The fall of a family like hers with so many knights was a big deal. So this should not be sothing that could be easily hidden.

Weiss was not an ungrateful person. So she was going to learn about the noble families who had participated in the raid of the Triston family. And if there was an opportunity, she would not mind to put so effort in wiping them out.

After this little discussion was over, Weiss asked the two knights to follow her. Then she brought them to a large underground area of the castle.

In this place, a large serpent was locked up. In the cold climate of the Souran territory, snakes were extrely rare. But this snake had mutated in so special way and had managed to get so kind of strange ability to withstand extre cold.

This beast was still not an monster beast but was just one step away from becoming such. Weiss did have a few other beasts with the sa condition but among all of them, this snake was a little special.

All the beasts had very limited Intelligence. And becoming a monster beast actually did not increase this intelligence most of the ti. Instead it was common for a monster beast to be more ferocious and instict driven than the regular ones.

But this snake was special. It was much more intelligent than the other beasts. Even currently as Weiss approached it, the snake started to act cute in order to gain her favour.

It was also the only beast that had surrendered to her after getting a taste of her strength just once. For all the other beasts, Weiss needed to beat them half to death before capturing them.

So as Weiss was trying to design a secret art like technique for the beasts, this Intelligent snake was the most suited for practice it.

Weiss had created the template for this technique quite so ti ago. But as she herself was not a beast, fine tuning it was quite troubleso.

For that reason, she needed to use the help of the beasts to conduct a lot of experints. But still she was not fully satisfied with the results.

But after witnessing Elise’s core formation on the previous day, Weiss found a new inspiration and with that she was finally satisfied with the current beast’s secret technique.

This technique was way less complex than even the most basic knight’s secret art. But if that was not the case, then there would be almost no chance for a beast to actually learn it.

Other than the Four Clawed Fiery Bear, Weiss had fought and defeated three other monster beasts. And she had also made sure to study them very thoroughly.

Just like how a Knight created a life core to concentrate and purify their life force, the beasts also did the sa. But instead of a life core, they had sothing called a monster stone.

A stable life core was always a sphere in shape. But the monster stones looked just like a regular stone with rough edges. Very similar to an unstable life core.

But as the the physical body of a beast was generally stronger than a human’s, they were forcefully able to stabilize even the uneven monster stones.

So Weiss was interesting in seeing if this snake of hers created a monster stone, then would it also be uneven like the other monster stones or it would be like a sphere because of the new secret art responsible for the creation of this monster stone.

Weiss had already taught this snake most of the basics about this art. When she was done telling it about the improved, modified and the discarded parts, the snake was able to understand it in a very short period of ti.

Then before the two astonished knights, the snake started to practice a secret art just like a human knight apprentice.

In terms of its realm, the snake was currently at the peak of apprentice knight realm. So it already had required control over its life force and needed to just form a monster stone to reach the next stage.

So the snake used the technique given by Weiss to start the process. It lasted for only about an hour. And when the snake was done, it was giving off the aura of a proper monster.

So this experint turned out to be a major success. Creating a secret art for a beast to use sounded absurd and impossible but Weiss had managed to accomplish just that.

Then she quickly went to check the newly advanced snake in details. Seeing this Elise and Karl both beca cautious and got ready to take action imdiately if the snake showed any unnatural movents after growing stronger.

But fortunately, this snake continued to act cute just like before. It allowed Weiss to touched it without any resistance and even rubbed it’s body on her hands to show affection and submission.

Weiss checked the snake thoroughly by sending her own life force inside it. And the result was very satisfactory.

Weiss found that the monster stone of the snake was almost a perfect sphere and was very similar to a life core created by a knight.

Not just that, but this snake had even learned a special skill after becoming a monster. Now it was able to enlarge or shrink it’s body as it wished. It was almost like a magic trick.

This was very surprising for both Elise and Karl. It looked like another colleague had suddenly joined both of them overnight. And their new colleague was a snake.

So with the addition of the snake, now Weiss had a total of three powerhouses with the strength of an official knight under her.
