Dormammu could be called evil to the core.
Over the years, he had devoured quite a few worlds.
Across the Multiverse, he was utterly notorious.
All kinds of major figures had suffered under his ravages.
Many knew of the lord of the Dark Dinsion.
But generally, no one went looking for trouble with Dormammu.
There was nothing to gain from it,
and it was all too easy to get yourself sared in the process.
As ti went on, everyone grew used to Dormammu's existence, and no one bothered with him anymore.
But then, on this day,
those beings who road freely across the Multiverse suddenly discovered sothing astonishing.
Dormammu
was gone.
His presence had vanished directly from the Dark Dinsion.
More than that,
even the throne of the Dark Dinsion's lord had been left vacant.
Quite a few beings were deeply shocked by this.
Dormammu had actually died?
Who had done it?
Could it have been the legendary "Five Great Gods"? Or an existence on the sa level as them?
For a ti,
news of Dormammu's death spread across the entire Multiverse.
Even a great being who normally cared about nothing at all received the news.
That being
was Eternity, one of the "Five Great Gods."
As one of the "Five Great Gods,"
an existence from ti immorial,
their lifespan was endless.
With a single thought, they could even alter the very form in which the Multiverse existed.
Possessing that kind of power,
there were naturally very few things they cared about.
Soone like Dormammu,
in their eyes,
was like the existence of day and night, of darkness itself: rely a natural phenonon, simply part of the world's natural cycle.
So Eternity had never interfered with Dormammu.
But on this day, a sudden impulse rose in Eternity's mind. With a single thought,
he discovered that
Dormammu had actually died. This being who had rampaged across the Multiverse for untold years had truly fallen.
Even Eternity
felt a little surprised.
"How strange."
"Among mortal beings, soone actually managed to kill Dormammu."
"How interesting."
A strange expression appeared on Eternity's face.
"Still, this is troubleso."
"It's actually going to affect the next pure soul I intended to take under my wing?"
Eternity frowned.
As an infinite existence standing eternal,
even the River of Ti paled before him.
Fate itself had already lost its aning where he was concerned.
With a single thought,
Eternity could alter this world.
As for the future, what lay ahead was not vague in the slightest to beings like him. It was perfectly clear.
At this mont, he sensed that Dormammu's death
was actually connected to a soul he had intended to guide in the future.
"Interesting. It has been many years since sothing this interesting happened."
"Let see exactly what transpired."
With that thought,
the River of Ti began to flow before his eyes.
Everything beca incomparably clear.
Very soon,
Eternity understood the whole story.
"So it was the Ancient One."
"After Dormammu's death, the Ancient One's fate was changed."
Eternity ca to a sudden realization.
In the original tiline of fate,
the Ancient One died at the hands of Kaecilius, who had been corrupted by Dormammu.
After that, her soul would have drifted alongside him.
It could be said that
if Dormammu did not die, then even if the Ancient One had not fallen to Kaecilius, she would have died at the hands of soone else corrupted by Dormammu.
But now, Dormammu was dead.
Naturally, the Ancient One's fate would be completely changed.
Naturally, she would no longer drift through this world alongside Eternity.
"Who changed the Ancient One's fate?"
"Could it be those few old enemies of mine who can't stand ?"
Even for a powerful cosmic god like Eternity, it was not as though he had no rivals.
Changing the fate of a Skyfather-level powerhouse was no easy matter.
He thought
it was highly likely that one of those old rivals had done this.
Unable to wait any longer, he wanted to get to the bottom of everything.
So,
ti flowed before his eyes once more.
Cause and effect began to replay before him.
"A mortal actually did it?"
When the truth appeared before Eternity,
even this eternal god could not help but feel stunned.
If
the one who had done all this had been another great existence, he could have understood it.
Even if it had been an existence on the level of a Single-Universe being, he could have understood that.
But
a mortal?
That was rather beyond his expectations.
How could a mortal possibly kill Dormammu?
Filled with curiosity, Eternity began observing this mortal the way one might observe a tiny insect constantly wriggling.
He used his power once more, and the truth beca even clearer before him.
He began examining this mortal again.
"A mortal who has actually comprehended four Laws?"
"What an extraordinary soul."
"Among the mortals I have seen, this level of talent would rank near the very top."
Even Eternity could not help but sigh in admiration.
Across endless ages, he had seen no one knew how many mortals.
They were as countless as grains of sand in a desert.
Among them, the few truly worthy of his attention could be counted on one hand.
And now,
there was one more.
"However,"
"even with mastery over four Laws, he still should not have been able to kill Dormammu."
"What exactly did this little fellow nad Karl do?"
Eternity was puzzled.
Ti sped forward.
The scene of Karl battling Dormammu appeared before Eternity's eyes.
Very soon,
he saw it.
Karl used the Mirror Dinsion to imprison Dormammu.
And then,
the killing blow!
"A fusion spell built from four Laws?"
"This mortal actually managed to create such an astonishing spell?"
"How unbelievable."
"What peerless brilliance!"
Even Eternity
could not help the flicker of astonishnt on his face.
How many years had it been?
How many years had it been since he had seen a human with such extraordinary talent?
At rely this stage,
he had already managed to use Laws to such a degree.
He had ignored the conflicts between different Laws and created a fusion spell.
No.
Or rather, he had made use of the conflicts between the Laws
to create this overwhelmingly powerful spell.
What exquisite thinking. What terrifying control.
If he had made even the slightest mistake,
that spell might very well have devoured him instead.
And yet,
this sorcerer still did it.
It was truly astonishing.
"From the looks of it, this young man's talent would probably rank in the top ten among all the humans I have known."
"Setting aside those mutants and those special existences tied to higher-dinsional Laws..."
"Truly unexpected."
"Now that I think about it, taking the Ancient One's soul under my wing feels a little regrettable."
"If I could instead have this boy's soul follow ..."
"Wouldn't that be wonderful?"
Eternity could not help thinking to himself.
Such a talent,
truly inspired awe.
