Thanos's Outriders really were cannon-fodder troops.
The original Outriders could barely withstand even ordinary attacks from Earth.
If they ran into a real army head-on, they would probably be slaughtered.
But now things were different.
The Outriders had been strengthened by Dormammu's power and had beco much more dangerous.
Their defense had not increased by that much.
But their offensive power had risen drastically—enough to break through the Avengers' defenses.
And combined with the Outriders' terrifying numbers, the result was horrifying.
One had to know:
Just a single one of Thanos's flagships, with the Outrider forces it carried, was enough to contend with the allied army assembled by the Avengers.
And this ti, Thanos had deployed all of his forces.
The number of expendable troops he had brought was astonishing.
At this mont, the ground was packed solid with crazed Outriders.
And this was after Tony Stark had already bombarded them once with his armor's weapons.
The Avengers had already been in despair.
Now they were even more desperate.
If the Outriders' main target had been the Avengers themselves,
then the Avengers would have long since been swallowed up.
Just as the Avengers were sinking into despair—
Bang!
A trendous boom erupted.
A golden ring of light burst out from the only building at the center.
Several thousand Outriders were blasted flying on the spot.
At the sa ti, an enormous golden barrier appeared over the structure.
Then,
one portal after another opened in front of the building.
Karl stepped out first, leading the sorcerers.
Behind him stood a large number of sorcerers.
Every one of them held a pair of golden shields in their hands.
The mont Karl ca out,
he saw that the Avengers over there had already been driven to the brink under the siege of hundreds upon hundreds of Outriders.
He frowned.
Snap.
Karl flicked his fingers.
Splurt!
Splurt!
The sound of blades slicing into flesh rang out.
Hundreds upon hundreds of Outriders split apart instantly, severed cleanly into two halves.
Upper bodies and lower bodies separated, with entrails spilling all over the ground.
The scene was brutally bloody.
Everyone present froze.
They were not stunned by the gore.
They were stunned because none of them had any idea what Karl had just done.
How had a single snap
killed over a thousand Outriders?
The cross-sections looked as though they had been cut open by so invisible blade, blood still pouring out.
The bodies of the Outriders, even after being enhanced by Dormammu, seed to offer no resistance at all.
Was this magic?
Were sorcerers really this terrifying?
"The Law of Space!!!"
At that mont,
an utterly shaken voice rang out.
Everyone turned to look.
It was Mordo.
But at this mont, he no longer looked anything like a Master Sorcerer. His face was filled with shock.
He looked like soone seeing an entirely new world for the first ti.
In truth,
he was horrified.
The Law of Space?
When had this kid mastered the Law of Space?
Mordo was shocked.
But soone else was even more shocked than he was.
That person was Tony Stark.
As one of Earth's most famous geniuses,
Tony Stark's technology had naturally advanced by leaps and bounds over this period of ti.
Especially after the Battle of New York.
After studying Chitauri technology,
and integrating it with all sorts of other technological breakthroughs,
his armor had beco far more advanced than before.
All of its systems and detection devices had been upgraded as well.
It could be said that up to this point, everything about Thanos's flagship had been recorded.
Even so,
he had absolutely no idea how Karl had done what he had just done.
In fact,
he had not detected a single energy fluctuation.
And that was the truly terrifying part.
"How is that possible?"
"Even if he moved fast enough to kill all those monsters with a blade in an instant,"
"I still should have been able to capture so kind of fluctuation."
"But there was nothing at all?"
Tony Stark, who had always been suprely confident, suddenly felt that sothing was very wrong.
He even began to doubt his own technical ability.
He looked at Karl, his expression complicated.
The power of this sorcerer was simply unimaginable.
Karl, however, had no interest in sparing anyone's feelings.
He rely looked up at the sky and said,
"Thanos, since you're here, do you not dare show yourself in front of ?"
Karl was speaking in an entirely ordinary tone.
But his voice rolled toward the sky like a tidal wave.
Even the drop pods falling from above were shattered by the sheer force carried in his voice.
Clearly,
Thanos had no intention of responding to him.
Instead,
high in the sky,
the main guns of more than a dozen warships capable of dominating interstellar battle all lit up at once.
Laser weapons, plasma weapons, proton cannons...
All of the deadly weapons one could find in the cosmos were now aid at Karl.
Gulp.
The sorcerers behind him could not help swallowing hard.
And it was not fair to call them cowards.
If you had thousands of gun barrels dozens of milliters wide pointed at you,
staying on your feet would already be impressive enough.
Yet Karl's face remained calm.
"What a nuisance."
"Thanos, it seems you have no intention of talking to ."
"In that case, you can forget about keeping the rest of your forces."
Karl rely let out a cold laugh.
He raised one hand
and clenched it sharply.
Creak—!
Screech—!
All around them ca the ear-grating sound of tal twisting.
Then,
the sorcerers and the Avengers watched with their own eyes
as the warships in the sky seed to be crushed by so imnse force.
One after another, they twisted, buckled, and shattered.
tal fragnts rained down from the heavens, mixed with flesh and mangled debris.
In an instant,
it was as if the entire sky had been stained red.
The sorcerers around him all sucked in cold breaths.
Karl's expression did not change.
This was one way of applying the Law of Space.
Through direct control, he distorted the surrounding space itself, creating a terrifying crushing force.
Those warships, thousands of ters long,
were utterly helpless before Karl.
With nothing more than the motion of a clenched hand, they were wiped out.
Aside from Thanos's flagship, which was protected by so kind of strange power in the sky,
the forces Thanos had brought with him were destroyed in just a few moves.
The way everyone looked at Karl was the way one would look at a monster.
These were colossal interstellar warships thousands of ters long.
Yet in his hands, they looked like building blocks.
He tore them apart as casually as though he were dismantling toys.
So all the thousands of years of developnt by an interstellar civilization
could not compare to one man?
That was far too monstrous.
At this mont,
even the most hot-tempered Hulk held his breath and did not dare let out a sound.
His face was full of fear.
After turning into Hulk, he was only bad-tempered—not stupid.
If even interstellar warships could be destroyed that easily,
then wouldn't he
be crushed to death in a single grab?
Too strong.
At this mont,
that was the exact sa thought in everyone's heart.
