After throwing out those words, Gwen imdiately activated the crystal in her hand together with Wanda and Skye.
A flash of light erupted—
and the three instantly appeared inside Quill's ship.
Back during the Xandar incident, Karl had already marked Quill's ship as a teleportation point.
That ant Gwen and the others, who possessed secondary crystals, could teleport there freely.
Including the crystal still in Peter's possession back on Earth.
Rocket desperately piloted the ship upward at full speed.
Tony even had JARVIS take over the weapons systems.
JARVIS precisely identified the weakest section of the planetary crust and concentrated the plasma beam there.
BOOM!
A crimson plasma beam burst through the surface.
Imdiately afterward, the red-and-blue bird-shaped spacecraft shot out from underground and soared into the sky.
By now, Ego Planet's landscape had completely transford.
The once lush, vegetation-covered world had beco a wasteland of endless yellow sand.
The forests and mountains had vanished entirely, replaced only by a desert sea.
Storms raged everywhere, sand whipping through the air like endless rain.
No one had the ti to admire the scenery.
The ship imdiately accelerated vertically into space.
At this point, the spacecraft was practically flying like an actual rocket.
With the engines at maximum output, it took only a few minutes to escape Ego Planet entirely.
Once they stopped in outer space, everyone finally relaxed completely.
From space, they observed Ego Planet once more.
The red-and-blue world had now beco entirely earthy yellow.
It looked like a dead planet devoid of all life.
The blue energy covering the planet had also completely disappeared, clearly showing that Ego was facing a massive crisis.
It was like blood in a human body.
When the brain senses mortal danger, it directs blood toward the heart to protect the body.
That was why people instinctively felt cold in dangerous situations—the blood concentrated around the vital organs.
Ego was the sa.
That blue energy was effectively his blood.
Now all of it had gathered deep underground.
The blue giant was rely the physical manifestation of that energy.
"We've escaped Ego Planet."
Rocket quickly contacted Karl.
At the sa mont, a flash of light appeared inside the ship.
Gwen, Wanda, and Skye had teleported aboard.
The mont they arrived, the three hurried to the cockpit and looked out through the windows toward Ego Planet.
anwhile, deep within the planet's core—
with the destruction of the planetary shell, Ego's true body had been completely exposed.
The countless neural-like connections linked to the core had shattered alongside it.
Only the bare core remained.
Ego himself had beco incomparably weak.
Even the blue giant no longer possessed the strength to repair its damaged body.
BOOM!
Karl punched the blue giant backward once again.
Ego's battered body swayed violently, utterly incapable of fighting back.
After forcing Ego away, Karl looked toward the exposed core behind him.
Just as he prepared to throw another punch—
cracks suddenly spread across his own fist.
The massive body of Titan even began collapsing in places.
Karl instantly realized:
his mana could no longer sustain Titan.
The next mont, dizziness overwheld him.
Titan's gigantic body rapidly crumbled apart before completely disappearing.
Seeing this, Ego beca ecstatic.
He even felt as though so of his strength had returned.
"Hahahaha! Pathetic Earthling! Your ti is over! Die! In the end, only I can win—because I am a Celestial!!"
Ego forced his shattered body upright and stood towering before the tiny Karl.
Karl remained standing on the ground.
His head felt like it was about to explode from mana exhaustion.
Yet his posture stayed perfectly straight as he stared directly at Ego.
"You think you've won?"
Karl's voice was calm.
But he knew Ego could hear him.
Sure enough, Ego froze for a mont before bursting into wild laughter, as if he had just heard the greatest joke imaginable.
Karl grinned as well.
Then he slowly raised a hand and pointed upward toward the top of the planetary core.
Ego followed Karl's finger with utter disdain.
Then—
his laughter stopped instantly.
A vortex like a black hole had appeared overhead.
And from within it, a colossal teor was already erging.
Wrapped in blazing heat and terrifying air currents, it descended directly toward Ego's core.
Zodiac teor!
Ego's eyes widened in fury.
His core was his true body.
If it were destroyed, he would truly die.
"I cannot allow that teor to touch my core!"
With a furious roar, Ego completely ignored Karl.
He instantly appeared above the core itself, raising both hands toward the heavens to forcibly stop the Zodiac teor.
But the current Ego was nowhere near strong enough to withstand it.
Forget the horrifying temperature—
the teor's sheer size alone was enough to crush him several tis over.
HUMMMMM—
The teor descended with apocalyptic force.
Ego raised both arms skyward.
But the instant his hands touched the teor, the blazing red heat instantly lted his arms away.
"No! Impossible! I am the invincible Ego! I am a Celestial!!"
Ego roared madly, gathering every remaining ounce of energy to resist the teor.
But the mont his energy touched it, it lted away like snow beneath the sun.
"No! NOOO!!!"
Amid Ego's unwilling screams, the blue giant lted away completely like a candle burning down to nothing.
At the sa instant, the Zodiac teor slamd directly into Ego's core.
Karl looked upward.
Then—
a shockwave exploded outward violently.
The Zodiac teor detonated upon impact.
The resulting blast instantly shattered the entire planetary core.
The world collapsed.
Mountains crumbled.
Dust and debris exploded everywhere.
And Karl himself vanished within the cataclysmic explosion.

Out in space, everyone aboard the ship witnessed Ego Planet's destruction firsthand.
First ca violent lightning storms across the planet's surface.
Then the planet suddenly expanded outward—an on of total collapse.
Next, the entire world cracked apart like a shattered biscuit.
Finally, a visible shockwave burst outward from the planet's core.
That shockwave completely obliterated the planet.
Countless fragnts and cosmic dust scattered through space.
Nothing remained that resembled a living world.
Then—
a flash of light appeared inside the ship.
Karl suddenly dropped onto the floor with a heavy thud, gasping for breath.
Every last drop of his mana had been exhausted.
Even his final reserve had been spent on teleporting himself aboard.
His entire body felt powerless.
His head throbbed as though it were exploding.
Then—
thump.
Karl collapsed flat onto the floor.
"I'm done... gotta sleep for a bit..."
With that, his eyes shut imdiately.
Wanda instantly used Chaos Magic to lift Karl into the air and carried him toward the cabin quarters.
Gwen and Skye hurried after her.
anwhile, everyone else finally let out a deep sigh of relief.
Only Quill continued staring silently at the remains of the shattered Ego Planet.
"What's there to be sad about? He never treated you like his son anyway."
Yondu walked over beside Quill—
and smacked him hard across the head.
"OW, DAMN—!"
Quill clutched his head in pain, his thoughts finally snapping back to reality.
