Quill clutched his head after the smack, his thoughts finally snapping back into place.
He knew Yondu was right.
And Yondu probably understood Ego far better than he did.
After all, it was Yondu who had delivered all of Ego's other children to him.
Yet Quill alone had been hidden away.
Truthfully, Yondu occupied a unique place in Quill's heart.
Even if Quill refused to admit it, he had long since regarded Yondu as a father figure.
Sure, this "father" constantly threatened to eat him alive—
but every single ti Quill got into trouble, it was also this sa man who cleaned up the ss afterward.
"Coordinates set for Earth. Buckle up, everyone. Space jump incoming~~~"
Rocket entered Earth's coordinates and imdiately slamd the jump button.
"FUCK—! You really never learn, do you?! From here to Earth we'll need over ninety jumps! That's twenty more than last ti! I already told you we can't do them all at once—"
Yondu was only halfway through yelling when his tongue suddenly swelled up.
Drool imdiately began leaking from the corners of his mouth as though he'd had a stroke.
Looking around again—
everyone was mutating horribly from the jump strain.
So had swollen heads.
Others had elongated necks.
One guy's eyes bulged out like giant fried eggs.
Nebula fared better thanks to most of her body being chanical.
Tony imdiately put on his armor as well.
But the rest weren't nearly so lucky.
"Fuuuuck~~ Rocket you little bas— WOOOOOO~~~"
Quill's curse halfway transford into a train whistle as his neck stretched absurdly long.
Then—
a hexagonal spatial rift opened.
The ship plunged into it headfirst.
Imdiately afterward, the spacecraft shot across the galaxy like a baseball launched by a bat.
anwhile, inside the cabin, Wanda used Chaos Magic to shield Gwen, Skye, and the unconscious Karl.
Under the protection of Chaos Magic, all side effects from the space jumps were completely nullified.
The four of them—and even the cabin itself—remained eerily calm, as if detached from the ship entirely.

Earth.
Avengers Headquarters.
Nick Fury and Coulson sat leisurely in the office lounge drinking coffee.
The world had finally been peaceful for once.
Even Fury had gotten a rare opportunity to relax and enjoy life.
Suddenly—
an ear-piercing alarm blared.
The two n nearly jumped out of their seats.
"MOTHERFUCKER—!! Can't I get even one second of peace?! Whoever's causing trouble this ti, I swear I'll tear them apart myself!!"
Fury exploded into curses.
The entire cup of coffee had spilled all over him.
"Director, we've detected an alien spacecraft heading toward Earth. It has already entered the atmosphere."
An agent rushed into the office and quickly tapped the tablet in his hand.
A holographic projection appeared.
Onscreen was a flaming fireball streaking downward.
Fury imdiately walked to the window and tapped the glass several tis.
The smart glass magnified the sky dramatically.
Sure enough—
a red dot was descending rapidly from high altitude.
"Nick Fury, we're back! Hurry up and roll out the welco carpet~~~"
Karl's voice suddenly echoed through the communicator, filling the office instantly.
"FUCK—!! Can't you people keep a lower profile?! Can't you let relax for once?!"
Fury roared furiously.
He'd thought it was another alien invasion.
Turns out it was just Karl and the others returning.
"I already had every satellite cancel the alarms. Isn't that low-profile enough?"
Tony cut in imdiately.
He had JARVIS interfere with every satellite system to ensure the ship could enter Earth unnoticed.
Apparently, Avengers Headquarters still detected them anyway.
"So tell —where exactly did you all go partying for an entire month?"
Fury sat in the conference room with an expression darker than ever.
Besides Karl and Tony's group, the Guardians of the Galaxy mbers were present as well.
Tony casually tossed a chip-like device toward Fury.
"It's all in there. Read it yourself."
Fury pocketed the chip.
After asking a few insignificant questions, the eting ended and everyone went their separate ways.
Gwen and the others tead up with Natasha and dragged Gamora, Nebula, and Mantis off on a shopping spree.
Tony brought Rocket directly back to his laboratory.
Quill, anwhile, took Yondu and his entire gang of space pirates bar-hopping through New York nightclubs.
Karl simply returned to his agency and resud lying around lazily.
At the sa ti, he began checking his mission rewards.
[Ding~ Congratulations Host, mission completed. Rewards have been distributed~]
The system's voice sounded at the perfect mont.
Imdiately afterward—
dark power swept throughout the entire office.
Black-purple energy engulfed everything around him.
Karl felt as though he had entered an endless abyss of darkness.
Then—
a light appeared within the darkness.
The surrounding blackness rapidly receded.
A massive crystal erged before his eyes.
Inside his spiritual sea, the Mother Crystal shone brilliantly.
Around it, the eight crystal statues also emitted their respective lights, resonating together with the central crystal.
The final Eidolon—
Odin—
had finally been illuminated.
Black-purple radiance covered the entire crystal statue.
Clad in heavy black armor, Odin held the legendary Zantetsuken in hand.
Beneath him stood the majestic six-legged divine horse, roaring toward the heavens.
After exiting his spiritual sea, a trace of black flashed through Karl's eyes.
Then he slowly stood up.
With a wave of his hand, the Ultimate Weapon imdiately appeared.
Dark energy wrapped around it.
The weapon instantly transford into a massive black blade nearly two ters long—
the very sa Zantetsuken wielded by Odin himself.
"Odin Combat Style!"
Karl shouted softly as he slashed outward.
The surrounding space was instantly split in two like perfectly sliced glass.
Slash! Slash! Slash!
After six or seven rapid strikes, the surrounding space itself seed frozen in place.
Then the cracks shattered explosively before space restored itself once more.
At the sa ti, a crimson line appeared from the guard of Zantetsuken.
Once the line reached the tip of the blade, Karl would be able to unleash its strongest move—
Dinsion Slash.
Under Odin Combat Style, every swing of Karl's sword automatically accumulated energy.
No matter what techniques he used.
Even abilities from other Eidolons counted toward the charge.
Additionally, Zantetsuken could transform into Odin's spear—
Gungnir.
The spear possessed an absolute-hit attribute.
No matter where Karl threw it, it would unfailingly strike its target before automatically teleporting back into his hand.
"I wonder what would happen if I used that together..."
Karl decided to test it imdiately.
He returned to the Chocobo Space and arrived at an open field outside the courtyard.
Holding Zantetsuken firmly in hand, Karl suddenly shouted:
"Limit Break!"
BOOM—!!
Massive black-purple flas erupted around Karl instantly.
A smile appeared on his face.
He had guessed correctly.
Odin Combat Style could indeed affect Limit Break.
Normally, Limit Break surrounded Karl with orange-red flas, turning his body into sothing like molten magma.
But under Odin's power, the flas transford into Odin's signature dark energy.
The fire beca black-purple.
Combined with Odin Combat Style, the amplification in power multiplied dramatically.
And that wasn't all.
Normally, every swing during Limit Break released flaming sword energy capable of burning enemies.
Now, under Odin's enhancent—
even those sword waves had beco black-purple as well.
