Unexpected complications could still occur.

Although Inhumans possessed a wide variety of abilities similar to mutants, the two were fundantally different.
Inhumans originated from the Kree Empire, one of the three great empires of the galaxy. A million years ago, the Kree conducted genetic experints on humanity to create super soldiers.
Later, due to a series of changes, many humans on Earth carried those genes in a dormant state, which was sowhat similar to mutants.
Before awakening, Inhumans were no different from ordinary people.
The difference was that mutants could awaken spontaneously through emotions, changes, accidents, and various other triggers.
Inhumans, however, had specific requirents for awakening.
They had to co into contact with Terrigen Crystals or Terrigen Mist in order to mutate and awaken.
In the original tiline, Skye had only awakened after accidentally coming into contact with such a substance during a mission.
But that would happen much later.
Matthew wasn't certain whether injecting the serum before her awakening would produce negative side effects.
To be safe, he decided to let Skye awaken her abilities first. After that, they could conduct comprehensive examinations and genetic compatibility testing.
Among humans, Terrigen Crystals were known as the Obelisk.
And that object was currently inside S.H.I.E.L.D.

But with Pierce—the deeply embedded traitor—things beca much simpler.
As long as Matthew gave the order, Pierce would personally deliver the item into his hands.
Only after obtaining the Obelisk could they proceed to another city to activate it.
Neagley didn't understand why Matthew had made such a decision, but she would never question his orders.
Matthew rarely gave commands, but whenever he did, each one carried a clear purpose.
Subordinates should never casually question their superior's decisions, because superiors often possessed information their subordinates knew nothing about.
Neagley understood this principle very well.

As soon as they entered the Mirror Dinsion, Matthew raised his right fist toward Natasha. Dark purple-black streams of light wrapped around it, and in the next instant, a pitch-black layer covered the surface of his fist.

Seeing Natasha's widened eyes, Matthew slowly began to explain.
