Skye's luck had actually been pretty good at first. She had managed to hide and narrowly escape capture.
Unfortunately, this idiot had then chased after them herself—and even called the police.
The problem was that the police were connected to those people too.
And just like that, the two of them had been neatly packaged up by the Purple Man and handed over to the guy nad Deacon.
That Deacon fellow kept talking about how delicious their blood slled.
He even said Jessica would beco his bride after being turned into a vampire.
Just imagining herself trapped forever in this cursed underground place, never seeing sunlight again and surviving on blood for eternity, made Jessica feel sick.
The bastard had even said he would wait until after becoming a Blood God before transforming her.
Jessica wanted nothing more than to punch his head clean off.
But there was no helping it. The place was crawling with vampires, and she also had Skye tagging along as dead weight, so she could not act recklessly.
At this point, she had simply given up and gone with the flow.
Leaning back slightly, Jessica let out a quiet breath. Without the slightest trace of ladylike behavior, she scratched her butt, closed her eyes, and prepared to rest for a bit.

However, a sudden, deafening explosion jolted her awake, her eyes snapping open.
Not only Jessica—even Skye flinched in fright and nearly jumped into the air.
"What happened? A gas explosion?"
Skye was only nineteen years old. Even though she had spent years wandering alone and surviving by herself, at heart she was still just a girl who got scared when danger appeared.
"Hey, I think you can loosen your grip a little," Jessica said with a dark expression as she looked down at the girl clinging tightly to her arm in panic.
She pulled herself free with a bit of force, muttered sothing under her breath, then imdiately stood up and ran toward the door.
The stone chamber's entrance was sealed by a thick iron door.
In reality, that thing was basically decoration to Jessica. If she wanted to, she could smash it apart with brute force after putting in a little effort.
She pressed herself against the iron door and listened carefully.
Skye did not have that kind of courage. She simply stayed close behind Jessica, nervously shrinking into herself.
"Gunshots... and screaming. Sobody broke in and is fighting those freaks." Jessica's eyes lit up instantly, excitent appearing all over her face.
She quickly turned around and shouted, "Step back a little, Skye."
"What are you planning to do?" Skye obediently retreated while asking.
Jessica took two steps backward, rolled her neck, then grinned at the iron door in front of her.
"There's no way I'm letting an opportunity like this slip by."
"Alright then." Skye had nothing left to say.
Jessica planted her feet apart, one forward and one back. After drawing back her right fist and gathering strength, she clenched it tightly and smashed it straight toward the iron door.
Skye instinctively covered her ears.
Bang!!
The entire stone room shook violently, dust raining down from above as a deep dent appeared in the heavy iron door.
But it still was not enough.
Jessica imdiately began throwing punch after punch without stopping.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Under Jessica's rhythmic and heavy barrage of punches, the iron door finally failed to withstand the monstrous force. It was blasted off its hinges, flew across the corridor, slamd into the stone wall opposite, and crashed onto the ground with a dull boom.
"GO, let's head out." Jessica looked thoroughly refreshed. What a great way to relieve stress; she was already thinking that if she ever found herself in a bad mood in the future, she would find sothing like this to smash—it would definitely soothe her spirits.
"Wow... that's incredible!" Skye stared at her with exaggerated amazent.
Only now did she truly understand just how absurd Jessica's superhuman strength was. She simply could not comprehend how such a tall, slender body could contain that kind of power.
But seeing Jessica already step out of the room, Skye imdiately threw aside those thoughts and hurried after her.
Outside the stone room was a maze-like underground corridor carved directly into stone. Old-fashioned oil lamps flickered dimly along the walls, casting swaying shadows through the tangled passageways. It would have been easy to get lost in this place, but Jessica stayed calm and followed the sounds of battle echoing through the tunnels.
Before long, the two won spotted light ahead.
The roaring, gunfire, and shrieks were getting louder and louder.
Jessica imdiately slowed down, instinctively cautious despite her excitent. She grabbed Skye and carefully edged forward, pressing herself against the wall before cautiously peeking around the corner.
The mont they saw what lay beyond, both Jessica and Skye froze in shock, their eyes widening.
The cavern before them was enormous—easily the size of one or two football fields. The dod ceiling towered twenty or thirty ters overhead, while the ledge they stood on overlooked the area from more than ten ters above. A winding stone pathway spiraled downward along the wall toward the floor below.
But none of that was what stunned them most.
Aside from the massive altar and the twelve enormous square pillars, the entire ground level was swarming with vampires.
Countless vampires.
Including Deacon himself.
And at the center of it all, two won were fighting them.
The pair wore long crimson trench coats patterned with elegant designs, black leather pants, silver cross swords strapped to their backs, and pistols in both hands. Facing the overwhelming tide of vampires rushing toward them, they continuously pulled their triggers without hesitation.
Bullet after bullet pierced vampire foreheads and hearts. The mont they were hit, the vampires ignited like paper soaked in gasoline, sparks scattering through the air before their bodies collapsed into ash.
But what truly shocked Jessica and Skye was the speed.
Both the vampires and the two won moved unbelievably fast. From their perspective, all they could see were blurred afterimages flashing through the battlefield.
However, even among such speed, the two won were the fastest.
They moved like twin crimson flas streaking across the battlefield. Whenever they briefly paused, it was only to block a vampire's attack before pressing a gun muzzle directly against the creature's body and pulling the trigger.
The sheer speed of their movents was so intense that Skye quickly began to feel dizzy just trying to follow them. She looked away, rubbing her temples with a pained expression.
"I think I'm gonna throw up."
"What the hell is this... Who are those two? They're so damn cool." Jessica ignored Skye completely.
Her physical abilities far surpassed Skye's, so the high-speed motion did not overwhelm her senses at all.
On the contrary, her eyes were practically glowing as she stared fixedly at the two won on the ground, who perfectly combined elegance and violence while slaughtering vampires left and right.

But instead, two won had suddenly stord into the Temple of Eternal Night and imdiately begun slaughtering everyone without a word.
