Now reading: Chapter 296 296 from Marvel's Kryptonian Scientist, a Action novel by TutorialNPC.

"You're saying these giant humanoids can fire energy beams… and the Kryptonian Empire has an entire legion of them?"

Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy stared in stunned disbelief.

They couldn't even begin to picture it.

An endless army of colossal giants flooding the battlefield?

Who the hell could fight sothing like that?

Normally, size alone didn't determine strength. Plenty of massive creatures were slow, clumsy, crippled by gravity and air resistance.

But Ultran were different.

Despite their towering forms, they moved with terrifying speed. Their punches and kicks could break the sound barrier with ease. Only monsters on the level of Gorr the God Butcher could realistically bring one down.

The others?

The Kurse warrior… Thor… probably not enough to handle even a single Ultraman.

Drex Valen had beco completely obsessed with the concept.

Ultran were absurdly powerful.

Pure perfection.

At the end of the day, overwhelming size and overwhelming force still ruled the universe. Everything else was secondary.

anwhile, Ronan was thoroughly confused.

He had arrived with his fleet searching for traces of the Infinity Stones, hoping to gain enough power to challenge both the Mad Titan Thanos and the Supre Intelligence.

Instead, he'd run headfirst into a Kryptonian Ultraman.

Ronan had never fully accepted the Supre Intelligence's rule over the Kree Empire. That was one of the reasons he spent so much ti operating independently in deep space, even nearly becoming one of Thanos's subordinates at one point.

What baffled him most was the location.

This region wasn't supposed to fall under Kryptonian territory.

Still, Ronan wasn't the type to panic just because he saw an Ultraman. The Kryptonian Empire was powerful, yes, but avoiding conflict whenever possible had always been the wiser choice.

Unfortunately, the blue-skinned Ultraman had already shown open hostility.

And Ronan's temper was not built for restraint.

"Engage the target imdiately!"

The fleet obeyed without hesitation.

The blue Ultraman, however, looked utterly unconcerned. Clearly, this wasn't the first stubborn fleet foolish enough to challenge him.

At the center of the formation floated the Dark Aster, Ronan's massive flagship.

Three escort warships opened their launch bays simultaneously, firing a total of twelve ballistic warheads.

Black missiles streaked through space, their surfaces lined with glowing blue energy veins. The mont they ignited their propulsion systems, the Ultraman casually raised one hand.

Several blue energy bolts flashed out.

Every missile detonated before reaching its target.

Then the Ultraman looked directly at them.

Even at a distance, the hundred-ter giant radiated crushing pressure. The sight alone rattled the Kree forces.

A flicker of fear passed through Ronan's eyes.

"Fire! Intercept him! Don't let him get close!"

The escort ships unfolded their wings, deploying swarms of compact fighter craft. The formation spread outward like a massive net, surrounding the Ultraman's position.

"Open fire! Full saturation attack!"

The Dark Aster and the three warships unleashed everything they had.

The escort vessels split apart as their main cannons charged. Missile ports opened across their hulls while endless fighter craft poured into space like a black tidal wave, sweeping toward the Ultraman from both flanks.

Secondary batteries fired first.

Missiles followed.

Then ca the main cannons.

Three consecutive waves of destruction erupted across the void.

Blinding beams illuminated the darkness of space, turning the battlefield into a storm of incandescent death.

This was the military might the Kree Empire prided itself on.

The force that had allowed them to dominate the stars for centuries.

And then it vanished into blue light.

Without warning, an imnse azure haze expanded outward.

The terrifying energy barrage that had seed capable of erasing fleets monts ago now looked pitifully insignificant. Tiny sparks swallowed by an endless ocean.

The Ultraman spread both hands apart.

A colossal blue barrier materialized before him, flooding space with radiant energy and forming an impenetrable wall.

Laser fire disappeared into it without a trace.

Missiles and fighters slamd into the shield and exploded uselessly, reduced to drifting wreckage and molten debris.

When the assault finally ended, even the main cannons had failed to breach the defense.

The montum of the Kree fleet died instantly.

Then ca the Ultraman's turn.

The giant crossed both arms into a perfect X-shape.

Brilliant blue destruction light erupted outward.

The beam tore through the Kree ships' energy shields effortlessly, like molten steel carving through wax.

One warship vanished almost instantly.

Not crippled.

Not damaged.

Gone.

Consud completely by the roaring blue energy in less than ten seconds.

Ronan's face paled.

"Retreat! Fall back to the jump point!"

He practically scread the order.

The Kryptonian Empire's Ultran were far stronger than the rumors suggested.

Far stronger.

This wasn't rely the Fourth Great Empire of the universe.

The Kree Empire, the Skrull Empire, even the fallen Shi'ar Empire… none of them could stand against the Kryptonians.

The Kree intelligence network had already gathered enough information to understand the scale of the threat.

The Kryptonian Empire possessed tens of thousands of Ultran.

How was any civilization supposed to fight that?

The blue Ultraman made a gesture that looked almost mocking.

Then the destruction beam fired again.

The Dark Aster and the remaining escort ships froze in space as blue annihilation flas engulfed their hulls. Violent shockwaves battered their defensive barriers, draining them dry in monts.

Energy flooded into the ships.

The hulls began disintegrating from the surface inward.

tal peeled away layer by layer, reduced to molecules beneath the overwhelming force.

The destruction of the three warships beca inevitable.

Ronan gripped his Universal Weapon tightly, attempting to teleport himself back to Kree space.

It failed.

His eyes widened.

The Ultraman had created so kind of spatial field around the area.

Space itself had been locked down.

No escape.

No reinforcents.

No retreat.

Ronan made his decision instantly.

He was too ambitious to die alongside the Dark Aster.

Abandoning the flagship without hesitation, he used short-range teleportation to flee for his life.

Thirty seconds later, the remaining warships completely disintegrated under the relentless destruction beam, collapsing into cosmic dust.

That was the explosion the Guardians had witnessed monts earlier.

Ronan himself survived only because of the Kree Empire's technological relic, the Universal Weapon.

But the blue Ultraman clearly had no intention of letting him go.

The Guardians were still frozen in shock when a violent energy surge rocked their ship, tossing it violently through space.

That finally snapped them back to reality.

Without another word, they picked a random direction and fled at full speed.

None of them had any interest in staying anywhere near that monster.
