Ronan possessed physical abilities far beyond those of ordinary beings. His strength, endurance, speed, and reflexes were all exceptional, and his combat armor amplified them even further.
His warhamr, the Universal Weapon, represented the pinnacle of Kree military technology.
A god-tier weapon built for a single wielder.
It could manipulate matter at the molecular level, absorb energy, control gravity, generate force fields, unleash destructive shockwaves, and even perform teleportation through sheer ntal command.
That was the only reason Ronan had survived the destruction of the Dark Aster and managed to stay alive in the vacuum of space.
In the comics, Ronan had always played a major role in cosmic events.
Early on, he was the classic conqueror-type villain, even leading invasions against Earth. After repeated defeats, the Supre Intelligence manipulated and controlled him, pushing him into conflict with multiple Captain Marvels.
Again and again, he lost.
Again and again, he returned.
Eventually, Ronan broke free from the Supre Intelligence's influence and evolved into sothing closer to an antihero. He overthrew the corrupt regi within the Kree Empire and ultimately beca its ruler.
When interstellar war erupted, Ronan fought desperately to defend his people. After the war, he helped rebuild the shattered empire and worked tirelessly for its restoration.
From the perspective of the Kree Empire, Ronan was undeniably a hero.
Only seconds after the Guardians' ship escaped the area, the asteroid field behind them split apart.
A blade-like surge of energy tore through the void, shredding everything in its path. Massive chunks of rock exploded into dust almost instantly.
The blue Ultraman noticed the Guardians' small spacecraft.
He glanced at it once, then lost interest.
Collateral damage was irrelevant.
If they died accidentally, so be it.
The Kryptonian Empire could afford the consequences.
What truly caught his attention was Ronan.
The Kree warlord clearly possessed so kind of extraordinary survival thod.
The Ultraman lowered both hands to his waist. Deep blue spheres of energy condensed within his palms before he thrust his arms forward, bringing his hands together.
"M78 Beam."
The universe scread.
A brilliant blue flash erupted across the darkness as incomprehensible energy detonated outward. The massive beam pierced through space with terrifying speed, swallowing an entire asteroid in an instant.
The deep blue pillar crashed into the celestial body with unstoppable force.
The asteroid didn't resist.
It simply ceased to exist.
Pulverized instantly into drifting fragnts.
And the beam kept going.
The second asteroid shattered next.
Then the third.
The fourth.
The fifth.
The M78 Beam carved a perfectly straight path through the asteroid belt, erasing every object along its trajectory like divine judgnt cutting through paper.
A clear road opened through the stars.
The beam continued onward into the endless galaxy beyond, its blue radiance illuminating the dark vacuum for light-years.
Inside the Guardians' ship, silence fell.
Every single one of them stared blankly ahead.
If a capital ship's main cannon had done sothing like that, it would've been shocking enough already.
But this attack had co from a living being.
How much energy did that thing even contain?
A warship capable of firing a blast on that level would normally require imdiate resupply afterward.
Yet the blue Ultraman looked completely unfazed.
Still fully powered.
Naturally.
Every Ultraman created by Drex Valen had been equipped with a Light Energy Bracelet, a miniature version of the Plasma Spark Reactor. The devices continuously supplied energy to their users, preventing them from exhausting themselves after only a brief fight.
Once the Ultraman confird that Ronan had been completely erased from existence, he finally transmitted a warning toward the Guardians' ship.
"This region belongs to the Kryptonian Empire. Leave now if you want to live."
The Guardians didn't need to be told twice.
They fled imdiately.
Even Drax, normally the first person to charge headfirst into danger, offered zero objections. If anything, he thought the ship wasn't accelerating fast enough.
Still, the destruction of Ronan left the entire crew in a fantastic mood.
"That bastard's definitely gone for good this ti," Peter Quill said with a grin. "I say we find a planet and celebrate with drinks."
"After I upload the footage," Rocket replied while rapidly working at his console. "Seriously, these Kryptonian Ultran are insane. I heard they can even turn back into human form."
"They already are human," Gamora corrected. "Modified Kryptonians."
She knew more about the empire than most.
Thanos himself had once considered targeting the Kryptonian Empire. Just like Captain Marvel, though, he'd been forced to retreat after encountering Kryptonian soldiers equipped with dual-composite alloy battle armor.
And now?
The empire had developed sothing even worse.
Living weapons on a completely different scale.
"So theoretically," Drax said thoughtfully, "I could beco an Ultraman too?"
In his eyes, those hundred-ter giants represented the pinnacle of masculinity. Especially after witnessing the blue Ultraman's overwhelming destructive power firsthand.
Rocket snorted.
"No chance. They're not handing Ultraman power to the dumbest guy in the galaxy."
"And they'd give it to you instead?" Quill shot back. "You've got a beer gut. Not exactly Ultraman material."
"These are abs," Quill protested. "They're just compressed into one ultra-dense muscle."
Then he turned toward Gamora.
"Wait. Are there female Ultran?"
Gamora thought for a mont.
"Never heard of any. But maybe."
The Guardians continued their usual chaotic banter, completely unaware that the footage Rocket had uploaded was about to send shockwaves across the galaxy.
Until now, no Ultraman had demonstrated energy output on this level.
Most Ultran could unleash destruction beams roughly equivalent to nuclear weaponry. So of the stronger variants reached into the hundreds of terawatts.
But this?
This was asteroid annihilation on a chain-reaction scale.
Multiple celestial bodies erased in succession.
And Ronan himself had been killed in the process.
anwhile, Drex Valen traced the uploaded footage back to the Guardians' ship almost imdiately.
He generally preferred keeping his distance from that particular group of idiots, but curiosity still got the better of him.
After taking a closer look, he ca to the sa conclusion he had about Earth's Avengers.
They'd all been heavily nerfed compared to their comic counterparts.
Mantis and Rocket were one thing.
But Star-Lord, Gamora, and Groot?
Especially Quill.
In the comics, Star-Lord was a legitimate powerhouse. His alien hybrid physiology granted him enhanced strength, agility, endurance, resistance, and ntal resilience. He was a master combatant, tactician, marksman, and possessed an extensive cosmic knowledge base.
A genuine elite hero.
What Drex saw instead was a greedy scavenger with a slight belly and the energy of an office creep who looked like he belonged in so low-budget assassin movie.
Not exactly inspiring.
