Now reading: Chapter 308 308 from Marvel's Kryptonian Scientist, a Action novel by TutorialNPC.

Drex Valen crossed the depths of space through sheer raw power, arriving near Ego's planet almost as if he had teleported.

From a distance, he observed the planet's outer atmosphere and quickly realized it wasn't a normal gaseous layer at all.

It was solidified fluid-like energy.

Dense. Stable. Extrely durable.

"The surrounding dinsions are a complete ss…"

Drex narrowed his eyes slightly.

"So he knows how to use dinsional turbulence to keep the higher entities from locking onto him."

At his current level, even though he had not technically stepped into the true divine tier of the Marvel universe, he already possessed many of the traits associated with beings on that level. Sensing the boundaries between dinsions and perceiving disturbances beyond reality itself was no longer difficult for him.

Ego was ultimately incomplete.

A crippled Celestial.

If one of the dinsional entities noticed him and decided to devour him, even victory would co at a severe cost. And unlike physical beings, those monsters projected themselves into reality from outside dinsions. Even if you destroyed the projection, they could always return later without consequence.

Drex still didn't know which version of Ego this universe contained.

The comic incarnation who joined the Elders of the Universe and hunted Galactus…

or the cinematic version.

The gap between the two was enormous.

Especially in terms of combat power.

In the film version, Ego claid to be a Celestial and had existed for millions of years.

He was intelligent. Exceptionally so.

And terrifyingly powerful.

Over countless ages, he learned how to manipulate matter at the molecular level, eventually constructing a planetary shell around himself and disguising his true body as a living world.

Loneliness drove him to wander the cosmos in search of other intelligent life.

When he finally found it, disappointnt followed soon after.

To Ego, lesser species were unworthy of sharing existence alongside him.

So he began planting seeds across countless planets, attempting to expand himself throughout the galaxy. Whether he wanted to conquer the universe or create more beings like himself hardly mattered. In the end, both desires ca from the sa place.

He didn't want to be alone anymore.

To accelerate the process, Ego created children across nurous worlds with countless alien species.

Star-Lord was one of them.

Mantis had also been raised on Ego's planet, mainly because her empathic abilities allowed Ego to sleep peacefully.

Years earlier, Ego had hired Yondu to collect his children from various planets and deliver them to him for testing. Any child who failed to inherit Celestial abilities was killed.

Star-Lord had been the first successful heir.

And the last.

After learning the truth, Yondu secretly chose not to hand Peter Quill over to Ego. Instead, he raised him among the Ravagers.

Eventually, after hearing of Star-Lord's exploits, Ego beca convinced Peter was the child he had been searching for and personally brought him back to Ego Planet.

From there, he attempted to persuade Star-Lord to help activate the planetary seeds scattered across the cosmos, allowing Ego to consu and overwrite entire worlds.

But during that process, Ego confessed sothing fatal.

He admitted he had murdered redith Quill by planting a tumor in her brain, causing the cancer that killed her while Peter was still a child.

Once Star-Lord learned the truth, he rebelled.

Together with the Guardians of the Galaxy, he descended into the planet's core to destroy Ego's brain. Though Ego initially overwheld them, Star-Lord awakened his Celestial powers and held Ego off long enough for the others to plant explosives inside the core.

In the end, Ego died.

And the planet disintegrated with him.

"If it's just the movie version," Drex muttered, "then this place won't survive very long."

The comic version would be more troubleso.

That one might actually force him to take things seriously.

Drex stopped concealing his presence.

He stepped forward.

In an instant, divine force erupted outward like a cosmic storm. Vast golden radiance distorted the surrounding universe itself, sending ripples through the vacuum of space.

An overwhelming pressure descended in all directions, washing across the void in endless waves.

The mont Drex appeared openly, the suppression of a higher lifeform spread naturally from his existence. Nearby creatures shuddered instinctively at the soul level, seized by the urge to flee.

Even deep space reacted.

A massive repulsive force crashed down upon him as gravitational fields twisted and violent energy currents surged across the surrounding cosmos.

Then Drex threw a punch.

Inside his body, catastrophic energy spiraled like a collapsing universe. The strike erupted forward with terrifying force, devouring every form of energy in its path.

The attack smashed directly into the planet's solidified energy barrier.

And tore through it.

The entire blow pierced straight through Ego Planet itself.

The impact point happened to align perfectly with one of the giant facial sockets on the planet's surface.

A shrill psychic scream echoed through Drex's mind.

The sound ca from Ego's enormous mouth.

But the ntal assault vanished the instant it reached him, swallowed like dust falling into a black hole without creating even the slightest ripple.

Every cell within Drex's body contained black hole singularities.

His existence could tear apart space, ti, matter, energy, and even abstract concepts themselves. His defenses were nearly impossible to breach.

To him, Ego's psychic attack was barely more than a light snack.

If anything, it strengthened his own psychic resistance further.

Consu. Adapt. Evolve.

Simple.

Another furious roar thundered through telepathy.

This ti, Ego's anger carried unmistakable humiliation.

It was the emotional equivalent of soone trying to avoid conflict, only to be chased all the way back to their own doorstep with nowhere left to retreat.

Then the planet changed.

Planetary matter began restructuring at a terrifying speed. Energy beca bone and nerves while matter reshaped itself into flesh and armor.

A colossal humanoid giant rose from the surface of the world.

Its enormous body was wrapped in sealed purple armor. Across its face, glowing lines and circular patterns ford crude sensory organs that resembled eyes and features.

In its hand, a massive warhamr larger than its own body condensed from pure energy.

Classic Celestial aesthetics.

Drex did not transform into a giant himself.

He could have.

He simply saw no reason to bother.

Instead, he released part of the restraints on his bio-force field.

Imdiately, an imnse gravitational domain erupted around him.

Anything caught within it would be shredded apart and consud instantly.

Even celestial bodies like black holes would not escape destruction.

Violent energy currents swept through space in every direction, but every wave that touched Drex vanished into nothingness.

Then Ego swung the colossal hamr down toward him.

Drex didn't even try to dodge.

He simply stood there and allowed the weapon to crash into his body.
