The instant Ego's colossal warhamr entered Drex Valen's gravitational field, it was shredded apart into quarks.
Ego recoiled in shock and imdiately withdrew his arm.
At his scale, even the slightest movent could casually destroy planets without needing any additional energy amplification.
And yet this single lifeform had stopped him cold.
Ego switched attack thods.
Violent purple energy surged across his facial sensors before erupting outward in a devastating beam of destruction.
The torrent of elental force crashed through space, twisting the surrounding laws of the universe itself. Space collapsed and fractured into chaotic instability, creating a catastrophic attack powerful enough to annihilate entire star systems.
Drex took the hit head-on.
The absorbed energy was instantly converted within his body before exploding outward again as golden light saturated with destructive force.
Thousands of radiant beams erupted from him in an instant, piercing across endless space and obliterating every obstacle in their path before slamming directly into Ego.
The first beam punched straight through Ego's head, blowing the gigantic skull apart.
Then countless golden rays followed behind it, swallowing his massive body whole.
The attacks carved through him relentlessly, peeling away the purple armor piece by piece while continuously erasing the energy composing his form.
Everything above Ego's waist disintegrated.
Then, almost imdiately, energy reconstructed bone, flesh, and armor at astonishing speed.
Drex watched the regeneration thoughtfully.
Then he dismissed the gravitational field.
Four gigantic arms suddenly erged behind him, each nearly the size of Ego himself.
Each arm had been manifested from an Infinity Stone.
Space Stone.
Power Stone.
Mind Stone.
Reality Stone.
Cosmic energy churned violently through the vacuum, distorting even Ego's surroundings.
The four Infinity Stones exploded with blinding radiance and terrifying power, staining the starfield with four different colors.
Far away, aboard a vessel of the Black Order, Thanos abruptly turned his head toward the distant disturbance.
"Infinity Stones…"
His eyes narrowed.
He could sense them.
Not one.
Four.
"Soone collected four Infinity Stones?"
Thanos found it difficult to believe.
Not because soone possessed four Stones…
but because soone was actually using them simultaneously.
Even he had been struggling to figure out how to safely wield multiple Infinity Stones at once. His best solution so far had been seeking out Nidavellir, the legendary forge of the dwarves.
And now sobody was casually controlling four of them together?
Back on Ego Planet, Drex moved.
The four massive arms descended simultaneously toward Ego's face.
A silent shockwave rippled outward.
Then violent purple light exploded across Ego's forehead as the attack shattered his facial armor apart, exposing the material structure beneath, where glowing energy veins intertwined like circuitry.
Before the armor could regenerate, the Power Stone arm transford into a massive claw and plunged into the opening.
It tore out a huge mass of condensed matter and energy.
Then Drex ate it.
The golden Mind Stone arm drove deeper, its pressure and destructive force doubling instantly before unleashing a catastrophic strike that sliced Ego cleanly in half at the waist.
Drex seed to develop a taste for it after that.
He treated Ego like an infinite energy mine.
The Space Stone arm immobilized him.
The Power Stone arm ripped away chunks of his energy body by force.
Then the harvested energy was fed directly into Drex's gravitational field and devoured.
If the dinsional entities could see this scene, they would probably scream in heartbreak at such reckless waste. The energy of a Celestial was exactly the kind of nourishnt capable of expanding and strengthening entire dinsions.
And Drex was simply eating it.
"What are you?!" Ego roared furiously.
Drex ignored him completely.
He didn't even care whether Star-Lord might accidentally die inside Ego's body during the battle.
The assault continued relentlessly.
Purple light erupted from Ego's body as the giant warhamr blazed like a newborn star. Dangerous fluctuations spread outward through space.
Drex remained expressionless.
The entire void filled with purple radiance.
Through narrowed black eyes, Drex watched a stream of condensed purple energy blast toward him, powerful enough to shatter even solidified space itself.
But once it entered the gravitational field…
it rapidly weakened.
Then vanished entirely.
The absorbed energy compressed into a violent spiral before Drex folded space around it with the Space Stone and amplified it further with the Power Stone.
The resulting attack beca a massive rotating spear of destruction.
It punched straight through Ego's gigantic energy body with unstoppable force.
Inside Ego's form, enormous energy channels stretched everywhere like an interstellar highway network, continuously transporting power throughout the massive body.
Deep within one of those channels sat a white structure filled with advanced alien technology.
It resembled a hive-like chanical heart.
But it was not actually a heart.
Compared to Ego's gigantic energy body, the structure was microscopic.
This place was his true core.
His brain.
To avoid Drex's attacks, the structure constantly moved throughout Ego's internal energy network.
But Ego understood sothing clearly.
He could hide temporarily.
Not forever.
At this rate, destruction was inevitable.
And to make matters worse, the idiot son he had intended to use as a living battery had sohow learned to control his Celestial powers and was now actively refusing to cooperate.
Instead, Star-Lord was running around inside Ego's body playing hide-and-seek.
Ego wanted desperately to capture him again.
Unfortunately, Drex's offensive pressure was so overwhelming that Ego couldn't leave his position for even a mont.
While he had nurous avatars operating internally, none of them could easily overpower Star-Lord. At best, they were evenly matched. Capturing him alive was nearly impossible.
"Damn it. What was the point of having this son?"
Ego was furious.
For countless years, he had wandered the cosmos planting his seeds across planets while simultaneously searching for others of his kind.
When he failed to find any…
he tried creating them himself.
In that sense, he truly did resemble a Celestial.
He reproduced with countless alien races across the universe.
After millions of attempts, only Star-Lord inherited the divine gene and gained the ability to wield Celestial power.
What Ego could never understand was why Peter rejected him.
Ego had laid out the entire plan openly. He was willing to share the universe itself with his son.
And Peter refused without hesitation.
Still, Ego hadn't cared much at first.
Refusal ant nothing.
Force worked just as well.
With Star-Lord's tiny human body, controlling him should have been effortless.
Instead, the mont Ego restrained him, Drex appeared.
Then Star-Lord escaped too.
Disaster after disaster.
"That damned brat. If he shows up in front of again…"
Ego stopped mid-sentence.
A figure suddenly sprinted out of one of the hive-like tunnels.
Breathing heavily.
Wearing nothing but a white T-shirt and loose boxer shorts.
His embarrassingly round stomach bounced slightly with every step.
Who else could it possibly be besides Star-Lord?
Ego stared in silence.
The idiot had sohow managed to run directly back to him.
What unbelievable luck.
No.
What unbelievable stupidity.
Ego already knew his son was an idiot, but willingly running into the lion's den again was impressive even by Peter's standards.
anwhile, Star-Lord looked completely baffled.
"I swear I was running in a straight line… why the hell am I back here?"
"Peter," Ego sneered coldly as he strode forward, "looks like you finally ca to your senses."
This ti, no matter what happened, he refused to let Star-Lord escape again.
"Wait, wait, back off!" Star-Lord shouted while stumbling backward. "I'm still not wearing pants!"
Then he spun around and bolted away like a terrified rabbit.
