Despite the husky’s reluctance, it was eventually dragged out of the small Beast Cage by Li Zheng, who used a combination of threats and trickery. Throughout the process, the husky let out a blood-curdling scream, as if Li Zheng had done sothing outrageous to it.
In reality, Li Zheng rely spoke nicely at first, and when he lost patience, he grabbed the husky by the scruff of its neck and hauled it out.
"Alright, enough howling. With around, which Forest Wolf would dare to touch you?"
Li Zheng’s words seed to be understood by the husky, and it imdiately fell silent, raising its dog head slightly with a skeptical look in its intelligent eyes.
Li Zheng was at a loss whether to laugh or cry: "So you’re just pretending to be timid?"
The Forest Wolf turned and bared its teeth, while the husky’s face transford into a pitiful expression, quietly burrowing under Li Zheng’s pant leg to hide its head.
Li Zheng: "..."
Hmm, it seems the fear is genuine; it’s just relying on its owner’s support.
As long as I don’t speak up for it, it won’t dare to act recklessly.
But having raised a husky before, Li Zheng didn’t harbor any ill will towards this breed. As long as it didn’t show its destructive tendencies, everything would be fine.
"I’ll speak to the Wolf King for you; we live under one roof, so why make things difficult for each other?" Li Zheng pulled the husky out, walking together to the big Beast Cage entrance.
"Huh?"
Looking inside the Beast Cage, all the feed previously placed was completely eaten, not a grain left.
It seems the wolf pack was hungry. After trying a few bites and finding no effects from the Mating Flower, they must have felt relieved.
Among the fourteen Forest Wolves that ate the feed, one had evolved.
Within the wolf pack, a patch of fla-like red fur caught Li Zheng’s attention.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be the original Wolf King!
Looking through the records, sure enough, a new ability was developed.

"What luck..." Li Zheng felt at a loss.
Why was it that this particular Wolf King was the one to successfully develop a Genetic Ability?
It’s already in its twilight years and unsuitable for breeding new offspring, making this ability developnt a wasted celebration.

Opening the Beast Cage, Li Zheng entered with the female wolf and the husky.
The female wolf returned to the wolf pack, rubbing against a few other Forest Wolves before lying down nearby.
The husky, however, completely hid behind Li Zheng, only daring to show its tail-tucked rear, shivering.
Li Zheng didn’t bother with it, calling the Wolf King over for a closer inspection.
The typical Forest Wolf fur color is deep gray, looking like a mix of stray hair, not necessarily attractive.
Strictly speaking, it’s sowhat ugly.
But the Wolf King’s current state was entirely different. Not only was its fur much more glossy, but a circle of fiery red mane grew around its neck, looking majestic and extraordinary.
"What a pity."
Li Zheng checked through the information of the other Forest Wolves and confird that, aside from the Wolf King, no other individual had successfully developed an ability, sighing again.
Had it been another, younger Forest Wolf that developed an ability, the small Beast Cage would have welcod a new resident.
Dragging the silly dog to the front, Li Zheng, ignoring its resentful and timid state, vigorously rubbed its head and instructed the Wolf King: "This guy must have caused you quite a bit of trouble before. I’m not asking you to treat it well, just don’t bully it too harshly, alright?"
The Wolf King seed to half understand, casting a dignified glance at the husky, then lowered its head to Li Zheng, letting out a low whimper.
With the ssage roughly conveyed, Li Zheng left the Beast Cage, heading to check on Rongrong Rabbit’s side.
anwhile, the husky, perhaps thinking it had Li Zheng’s backing, abruptly changed its attitude. Its whole dog face displayed a ’small man in power’ look, circling around the Wolf King like a superior inspecting subordinates, scrutinizing the Wolf King with a critical eye.
Finally, it looked at the Wolf King’s fiery red mane, snorted disdainfully, and lifted its dog head, strutting off to the deepest corner of the Beast Cage.
That corner was where the Wolf King’s scent was strongest, and the husky intended to occupy it.
The Wolf King glanced at the husky, then outside the Beast Cage, and seeing Li Zheng wasn’t paying attention, turned and revealed a harsh expression.
As the leader of the wolf pack, the husky’s behavior had already challenged its authority. If it didn’t teach a lesson, managing the pack in the future would be difficult.
"Woof!"
With a command, those Forest Wolves pounced at the terrified husky.
In an instant, the entire Beast Cage echoed with the husky’s wailing cries.
The female wolf, which had once had a fleeting encounter with the husky, glanced over twice before nonchalantly lying back down to continue resting.
