[Congratulations, you have completed Mission 2.]
[Your current remaining objectives are: Mission 1 and Mission 4.]
After seeing the prompt, Caelan let out a slight sigh of relief.
Mission 1 was to complete the Battle of Destiny. Simply put, he needed to defeat one of the inheritors who had obtained a Chosen One-class legacy from one of the previous eras.
As for Mission 4, it was to establish the Ascension Stone.
"Well, your [Star Ascension Quest] should be pretty much done by now, right? I’ll take you back."
On the other side, Alyssa still had not fully co back to her senses.
Because from beginning to end, only a few breaths’ worth of ti had passed.
From Alyssa’s perspective, Cousin Caelan had casually waved his hand and wiped out a huge number of [Mountain Giants].
Then he had brought her to a special area that seed to be connected to her [Star Ascension Quest].
And then, the quest had been completed, and Cousin Caelan had brought her back to Blackwater City-State.
The entire process had taken less than three seconds.
So Cousin Caelan was actually that fast?
...
On the outskirts of Blackwater City-State,Alyssa looked toward Talia with a bewildered expression.
As for Talia, she did not seem particularly alard by Caelan’s sudden departure and equally sudden return.
She had long since grown used to the speed of her troubleso little brother.
But when she saw Caelan appear once again, the figure before her seed to overlap with the image of the big brother from her mories.
That familiar feeling even gave her an impulsive urge to throw everything aside and rush into his arms.
But Talia restrained herself. At the sa ti, her mind drifted back to all the little monts she had shared with Caelan over the years.
Especially all those scenes of that bratty little brother making delicious food and feeding her—just thinking about them made her feel warm inside.
But...
Back then, that little brat had bullied her so much. It was simply too much!!
Standing nearby, Caelan sensed the unstable emotions coming from the lazybones Talia—one mont happiness, the next anger—and imdiately started thinking about slipping away.
Because after spending so many years with her, Caelan was absolutely certain of one thing:
Lazybones Talia was currently in a very dangerous state.
"Talia, if there’s nothing else, I’m heading out first!"
The mont he finished speaking, Caelan’s figure flashed—and he made his escape on the spot!
anwhile, Talia made no move to stop him. She only watched his departing back with the corners of her lips curling slightly upward.
There were still many things she could not tell Caelan yet.
Otherwise, it would very likely disturb the chain of cause and effect, causing an enormous impact on Caelan—and perhaps even on the entire world.
So...
From here on out, that brat could explore the rest on his own.
...
After leaving Blackwater City-State, Caelan returned to the Imperial City.
His next goal was the headquarters of the Supre Staff Legion.
According to the requirents of the Battle of Destiny, he needed to defeat the inheritor of the [Divine] class.
At present, among all people, perhaps only Supre Staff knew the exact locations of those inheritance items.
So eting with Supre Staff and finding a way to question it had beco Caelan’s next step.
A short while later, Caelan arrived at the headquarters of the Supre Staff Legion, only to discover that Evelyn was not there.
At the sa ti, inside the City Hunter Instance, Evelyn was continuously facing all kinds of terrain and enemies.
According to Supre Staff’s instructions, if Evelyn wanted to fully master the caster-type powers of the [Dark Titan] class, then she needed to constantly use different skills according to different situations.
Only by doing so could her combat power improve even further.
And while Evelyn was fighting with all her strength, Supre Staff floated not far away, leisurely flipping through a book with great interest.
If one looked closely at the cover, it would be clear that it was one of the most common history books of this era.
"What a surprise. I never imagined this era would have changed so much!"
"The Abyss I can still understand, since I’ve been there before. But this Celestial Realm, and this Void Frontier—what exactly are they? Why didn’t they exist at all in the previous era?"
"And those Deathborn seem to be a species unique to the Void Frontier. Interesting... very interesting."
As Supre Staff turned the pages of the history book, it could not help but click its tongue in amazent.
Because it had discovered that the changes appearing in this era had far exceeded its imagination!
If Supre Staff still had a relatively good understanding of the [Divine] era, then when it ca to the current era, it could be said that it was almost completely in the dark.
The changes were simply too great!
But that only made Supre Staff even more curious about just how strong Caelan had beco now.
Just then, however, a figure suddenly appeared beside Evelyn.
In the next mont, Evelyn stopped the skill she was just about to cast, then turned her head toward Supre Staff and said,
"Lord Supre Staff, the Chosen One has co to find us. Would you like to go as well?"
Supre Staff froze for a mont, then used mind power to close the book in front of it before asking in return,
"You an that kid Caelan? If I rember correctly, with his strength, shouldn’t he be doing his [advancent mission] about now?"
"But a 5-star advancent mission shouldn’t be all that difficult. Don’t tell he’s already about to step into 6-star??"
At that point, Supre Staff could not help but spin several tis in midair.
Because it had never imagined that the Chosen One of this era could be so powerful!
Evelyn, however, gently shook her head.
"I don’t think it would be that easy. Although in our current era, the existence of a Chosen One is basically a dinsionality-reduction strike when it cos to farming experience. In fact, even setting Caelan aside, with my current strength, clearing Instances isn’t difficult at all."
At this point, Evelyn paused briefly before continuing,
"But in our era, the difficulty of the [Star Ascension Quest] is far beyond what you described from your era. You should already have seen that from the history books."
Supre Staff imdiately cald down, because it knew Evelyn was stating a fact.
"No matter what, let’s go take a look first!"
In the next instant, the two of them exited the labyrinth and arrived at the VIP reception room of the Supre Staff Legion.
As the door opened—
Evelyn had not even had the chance to speak yet when Supre Staff directly flew over to Caelan’s side.
"Well, well, if it isn’t Caelan! What brings you here? Co to help out, have you?"
"But unfortunately, that girl Evelyn isn’t very strong—she’s only at the peak of 4-star. As for you, don’t tell you’ve already reached the peak of 5-star?"
Caelan lightly shook his head and stated his purpose directly.
"I ca here to ask about [Divine]."
