Now reading: Chapter 23: Student council from Maybe I really am a Villian, a Fantasy novel by ACoward.

Aria then said, "I forgot your brother is the head of the Discipline Committee, right?"

"I only knew he was in the Student Council and nothing more," Asher said as he stood up to leave.

Noah and Adam just looked at each other knowingly, as if saying, ’Yeah, there’s definitely nothing wrong with that thinking.’

The next morning—

Asher walked through the academy corridor while holding a neatly folded paper in one hand.

Noah stared at it with suspicion.

"...You actually wrote it."

"Obviously."

"You spent an entire hour making a cafeteria proposal."

"It required proper efforts"

Noah looked genuinely disturbed.

"You’ve never put that much effort into howork."

"Because howork is less important."

"...I can’t even argue anymore."

Beside them, Aria glanced at the paper briefly.

"You really included spice categories."

"I also included dessert expansion plans."

Adam, who had joined them halfway through the hallway, imdiately frowned.

"Why does that sound like military strategy?"

"It is strategy," Asher replied calmly. "Student satisfaction affects performance."

Noah rubbed his forehead.

"You sound like you’re preparing to run the academy."

"That sounds exhausting."

"Then why are you doing all this?!"

"Because the food lacks vision."

Adam nearly walked into a wall.

anwhile, several students nearby secretly listened to the conversation with confused expressions.

The group arrived near the Student Council building.

Unlike the normal academy halls, this area was quieter.

More refined.

Several upper-year students stood near the entrance, and the atmosphere itself felt more serious.

Adam imdiately slowed down.

"...Are we seriously doing this?"

"Yes," Asher replied.

"You really aren’t nervous at all?"

"No."

"That’s sohow the scary part."

Noah sighed.

"I still think this is a terrible idea."

Asher looked at him.

"Do you disagree with the proposal?"

"...That’s not the issue."

Aria calmly looked toward the large doors ahead.

"The Student Council rarely accepts random visitors."

"It’ll be fine," Asher replied.

Then he pushed the doors open and walked inside.

The others followed behind reluctantly.

Inside—

Several council mbers were working quietly.

Stacks of docunts floated through the air using mana.

Students moved between desks while discussing academy matters.

The mont Asher entered—

A few people looked up instinctively.

Then froze.

Whispers imdiately spread.

"That’s Asher Astrean..."

"The first-year..."

"Why is he here?"

Asher ignored all of them and walked directly toward the reception desk.

A girl wearing the council uniform looked slightly nervous.

"...H-How may I help you?"

"I ca to submit a proposal."

"...A proposal?"

"Yes."

The girl blinked.

"...For what?"

"The cafeteria."

Silence.

Even nearby council mbers stopped writing for a mont.

Adam covered his face.

Noah looked like he wanted to disappear.

Aria quietly looked away to hide her amusent.

The receptionist hesitated before carefully taking the paper.

"...I’ll inform the appropriate division."

"Good."

Asher turned around imdiately as if his mission had already ended.

Then—

"Wait."

A calm male voice echoed through the room.

Everyone turned instinctively.

A tall young man with black hair walked down the staircase from the upper floor.

His academy uniform carried the insignia of the Discipline Committee.

Sharp black eyes.

Composed posture.

And an aura that naturally drew attention.

The atmosphere imdiately beca more tense.

Noah whispered quietly,

"...That’s Aron Astrean."

The Head of the Discipline Committee.

And Asher’s older brother.

Aron stopped a short distance away and looked directly at Asher.

"...Why are you here?"

Asher answered imdiately.

"The cafeteria lacks proper spice options."

Dead silence.

One council mber accidentally dropped an entire stack of papers.

Adam looked ready to collapse from secondhand embarrassnt.

anwhile, Aron remained completely expressionless.

"...You entered the Student Council building to discuss spices."

"Also desserts."

"...Desserts."

"Yes."

For several long seconds—

Aron simply stared at him.

Then he looked toward the paper in the receptionist’s hands.

"...You wrote an official proposal."

"Yes."

"...Properly formatted."

"Obviously."

The room remained silent.

Several council mbers looked between the two brothers with utterly confused expressions.

Because sohow—

The situation felt too absurd to interrupt.

Finally—

Aron closed his eyes briefly and sighed.

"...Give the proposal."

The receptionist imdiately handed it over nervously.

Aron read the first page.

Then the second.

Then sohow—

His expression beca slightly more serious.

"...You included budget calculations."

Noah nearly choked.

"He WHAT?!"

Asher nodded calmly.

"I estimated student demand ratios by region too."

Adam stared at him in horror.

"You weren’t joking..."

Aria quietly covered her mouth for a second.

She was trying very hard not to laugh.

Aron flipped another page.

"...You also included projected morale improvents."

"It increases efficiency."

The entire council room had beco completely silent now.

Even the upper-year students looked ntally overwheld.

Then suddenly—

A short laugh echoed from the upper floor balcony.

Everyone imdiately stiffened.

A young man with golden hair leaned casually against the railing above.

Unlike Aron, his presence felt lighter—

But far more oppressive.

Sharp golden eyes looked down at the scene with obvious amusent.

"The famous first-year is more interesting than I expected."

Noah imdiately whispered,

"...Crown Prince Lucien Voltaris."

The Student Council President.

Asher just looked at him calmly and then looked at Aron again.

Lucien raised an eyebrow.

"...That’s your reaction?"

"Should it be different?"

Several council mbers looked terrified at that response.

But instead of anger—

Lucien laughed again.

"You walked into the Student Council to reform cafeteria spice levels."

"Yes."

Lucien looked genuinely entertained now.

Then he suddenly asked,

"Why?"

Asher answered without hesitation.

"The food disappoints ."

The Crown Prince stared at him for two seconds.

Then looked toward Aron.

"...Your brother is insane."

Aron replied calmly,

"I am aware."

Noah silently nodded in agreent.

anwhile, Asher looked around the room.

"So is the proposal accepted?"

The entire Student Council fell into another stunned silence.

Lucien rested his chin against one hand while looking down at Asher.

"You really care that much about cafeteria food?"

"Yes."

"...More than rankings?"

"Yes."

"More than academy politics?"

"Yes."

Lucien laughed quietly.

"That might be the most honest answer I’ve heard this month."

anwhile, Aron continued flipping through the proposal in silence.

Aria quietly looked away again.

At this point, even she was struggling to remain calm.

One of the council mbers cautiously stepped closer toward Aron.

"...Sir, is the proposal legitimate?"

Aron remained silent for a mont before answering,

"...Unfortunately, yes."

Adam covered his face.

"This is actually happening..."

Lucien descended the stairs slowly, stopping in front of Asher.

The entire room beca noticeably more tense from his presence alone.

Asher, anwhile, looked completely unaffected.

Lucien studied him carefully.

Relaxed posture.

No fear whatsoever despite standing before the Crown Prince himself.

Interesting.
