Now reading: Chapter 24: Aria thoughts from Maybe I really am a Villian, a Fantasy novel by ACoward.

A/N: Guy so I had applied for a contract 1

day ago and I would get rejected since my story is lacking to other. So I had thought that i would write this novel again. But I don’t know how but I was offered a contract.

It is really hard to believe since it’s been only 2 weeks since I started writing but still thanks to all who enjoyed and liked my novel.

And I will keep trying to improve my writing skills. This is everything now enjoy this Chapter.

Most first-years could barely speak properly around high-ranking nobles.

This one looked like he was waiting in line at a grocery store.

Then Lucien suddenly smiled faintly.

"You know, people usually co here requesting favors, influence, or political support."

"I want better desserts."

The room fell silent again.

Lucien laughed harder this ti.

Even Aron pinched the bridge of his nose briefly.

"...You are still sa, and here I thought you must have changed"Aron said calmly.

"Thank you."

"That wasn’t praise."

"I know."

Noah nearly collapsed from ntal exhaustion.

anwhile, several council mbers had started whispering quietly among themselves.

"That’s actually his personality...?"

"I thought the rumors were exaggerated..."

"It seems it was true that he challenged Rank 10 just to skip classes..."

"And now submitting a dessert reform proposal to the Student Council..."

The more they whispered—

The less believable Asher sounded as a real person.

Lucien finally stopped laughing and glanced at the proposal again.

"...Tiered spice distribution."

"Efficient."

"Regional nu rotation."

"Increases satisfaction."

"Seasonal dessert expansion."

"Necessary."

"...You even included ergency juice storage recomndations."

"That part is especially important."

Adam stared blankly.

"There are ergency juice protocols now..."

Lucien looked genuinely amused.

Then—

"Very well."

The room instantly quieted.

Lucien held up the proposal slightly.

"I’ll approve the trial implentation."

Silence.

Noah blinked.

"...What?"

Adam looked equally stunned.

"You’re accepting it?!"

Lucien shrugged lightly.

"The proposal is absurd."

"As expected."

"But strangely well-written."

"Obviously."

"And..." Lucien continued while smiling faintly, "...I’m curious whether students will actually support it."

Asher nodded once.

"They will."

Aron glanced toward Lucien.

"You are seriously approving cafeteria reform because you’re curious?"

Lucien smiled calmly.

"The academy has survived worse decisions."

"That is not reassuring."

anwhile, Asher looked satisfied for the first ti since entering the building.

"Good."

Then he turned around casually.

"I’m leaving."

Noah stared at him in disbelief.

"...That’s it?"

"Yes."

"You caused chaos in the Student Council and now you’re just leaving?!"

"My objective is complete."

Adam pointed at him accusingly.

"You sohow treated the Crown Prince like a cafeteria employee."

"I treated him normally."

"That’s the problem!"

Lucien laughed quietly again.

Aron imdiately replied,

"That makes one of us."

Asher began walking toward the exit before suddenly stopping.

Then he looked back toward Aron.

"Oh right."

Aron already looked tired.

"...What now?"

"If the cafeteria adds mango ice cream, notify ."

Complete silence filled the room.

Even Lucien froze briefly.

Then several council mbers imdiately lowered their heads to hide their laughter.

Aron stared at his younger brother with completely dead eyes.

"...Leave."

"Okay."

And just like that—

Asher walked out of the Student Council room peacefully.

The others hurried after him.

Aria POV

The more I observe Asher, the more unique he seems, though the word ’weird’ might seem more fitting for him.

But sothing is also wrong with him. That day, when he cut his hand without a hesitation, though he said that it hurt really bad and that complaining would not erase the pain, so he did not show it, I am sure that was not the whole reason.

He did not show the slightest discomfort or annoyance in his emotions.

Which ans either he is too used to physical pain, so the pain of his hand being cut was not a concern to him, or he has felt emotional pain so painful, or is still feeling it, that other pain does not even affect him anymore.

I wonder which one it is, or if it is just both.

Is it related to the death of his mother?

I can’t just ask him outright like last ti, right?

Though I am sure he would tell it if anyone really asked him, but I don’t want to be that person.

As for why, I just don’t want to.

Today, when I t him in the morning, he really wrote a report. I guess it is not really a surprising thing anymore. I was sure it would be fun, so I accompanied him.

After reaching the council room, everything was going normal.

Though that might not be normal to normal people.

Wait... what am I thinking? That does not sound right.

I guess my common sense is really getting affected by Asher, though I think it is not a bad thing.

No wait, Aria, get hold of yourself, you are getting weird.

Why am I even talking to myself?

Before I could continue with these thoughts of mine, a composed voice ca.

It was the voice of Aron Astrean, the next head of the Astrean family and Asher’s older brother.

But when I saw him, I was surprised, though I did not show it on my face and acted normal.

And the reason was that as soon as Aron saw Asher, he was feeling fear and confusion, a fear so great that it was as if he was looking at a Grandmaster-rank beast that had co to kill him.

But why? Did sothing happen between them?

But after hearing the reason for Asher being there, he was feeling relief. Is his whole family weird? Well, it would not be surprising since he had lived with Asher for more than a decade.

And after listening to their conversation, I beca sure that Asher has most likely been the sa at his ho too.

But their talk soon ca to an end, though it was more of an interrogation.

The one who interrupted them was Lucian Valtoris.

He was still the sa, and as soon as I saw him, I started feeling disgusted.

Wearing a fake smile, but inside he was curious, wary, and filled with an unfathomable greed.

I really hate people like this.

Till the end of conversation he never truly ant anything he said.
