Hearing the old man speak, Ning Fan wished to leave imdiately; he had zero interest in befriending an old glass.
"Goodbye! We have things to do, so we're leaving now."
Just then, Tang Xiaodie sneered, "Hmph, you're just a lying fraud."
"Are you crazy!"
Ning Fan muttered, not wanting to bother with this rude firecracker girl at all.
But just because he ignored her didn't an Mary did,
"Miss, why are you insulting my friend?"
Mary was a bit displeased; Ning Fan had saved her several tis, and she couldn't tolerate anyone slandering him.
"I didn't insult him; I'm just stating the facts."
Tang Xiaodie said righteously, "Just now, who was boasting shalessly about winning a billion?"
After speaking, Tang Xiaodie raised her delicate eyebrows and looked at the chips in Ning Fan's hand, "How much is this? Not even five hundred thousand. If you're not the big talker, who is?"
"Hey! This brother's hot temper."
Just as Ning Fan was about to give a life lesson, Vivian, who had been silent, suddenly asked, "How much is a billion?"
"You don't even know what a billion is? That's hilarious."
Tang Xiaodie laughed exaggeratedly for a while, then said, "Anyway, it's a number you'll never see in your lifeti."
Vivian asked puzzledly, "Is it a lot?"
"Of course, it could buy more than a thousand of those long dresses."
"How much is a thousand and more?"
Given that Vivian was bad at math, she didn't dwell on it; she just knew having lots of gems would be great.
"Then let's win a billion before we leave."
Vivian struck a pose, and Ning Fan knew... forget it, that taphor wasn't quite right.
Anyway, Ning Fan wasn't going to let her have her way, "Even if there's a billion, don't count on it. I only promised to buy one for you."
Feeling ignored, Tang Xiaodie was fuming, "Boast all you want, talk again when you've got a billion."
"Xiaodie, shut your mouth."
Tang Xiaoyue scolded and then apologized, "I'm sorry, my sister..."
"Your sister is your sister, why do you have to apologize?"
Ning Fan shook his head and called out, "Mary, let's go."
"Coward. Won so money and now wants to run away."
Even the good-natured Mary couldn't help but retort; she wasn't exactly a refined lady, being gentle didn't equate to being graceful.
"Who wants to run? If it weren't for the hassle, we would've hit that number already."
Hearing this, both Old Zhang and Tang Xiaodie's expressions darkened.
Mary was speaking the truth; if Ning Fan hadn't deliberately controlled his bets, The Venetian Casino might've gone bankrupt.
Tang Xiaodie quipped sharply, "If you can't do it, you can't do it; saying you're afraid of hassle, who would cause you trouble?"
Mary grumbled, "Of course there's trouble; winning so much money, the casino wouldn't just let us leave."
Hearing this, the bystander Carn was instantly displeased, darkening her face and saying, "Lady, you need to take responsibility for your words; this is slander..."
While she spoke, several security guards had already gathered around.
Seeing Carn stand with Tang Xiaodie, Ning Fan curled a cold smile at the corner of his mouth, "So, it doesn't matter how much I win?"
Carn proudly declared, "Of course. If we dare to open a casino, we're not afraid of guests winning."
Carn hadn't noticed that as he said this, Old Zhang's face turned extrely unpleasant.
Though Carn had accompanied for a while, ultimately he had business to attend to and left the table early, thus wasn't aware of what happened later, not even having t Ning Fan until now.
"Sir, I apologize, it was our mistake. Please feel free to leave."
At this mont, seeing Ning Fan's face turn cold, Old Zhang just wanted to keep the peace and quickly escort him out of the casino.
As Carn was about to speak, he noticed Tang Xiaoyue's signaling eyes and swallowed his words.
"This is hilarious. Totally random nitpicking, followed by completely random apologies. Are you doing a cody routine?"
Right now, Ning Fan was genuinely angry; he wanted to lay low and avoid trouble but trouble seed to find him.
"Do they really think I'm made of mud?"
Ning Fan felt displeased internally, then said, "This young lady said it right. There's a beginning and end to things; words spoken are like water spilled. Since it was said, it'll be done. Today I'm set on winning a billion."
"Teach them a lesson."
This ti Mary didn't stop him; no matter how big the trouble a "trouble" is, it's not so dire despair.
With Ning Fan around, might as well turn this place upside down.
Being a ghost herself, what was there to fear from these mob mbers.
Even the nice Mary didn't care, so it was natural that Vivian wouldn't put it in her eyes, just a bunch of bugs.
"Then go ahead."
Seeing her little sister all smug, Tang Xiaoyue really didn't know what to say.
Looking at the adjacent gambling table, it happened to be a dice ga, Ning Fan asked perplexedly, "Can you bet on the points here?"
"I think you can, right?"
Mary didn't quite understand either.
Carn said indifferently, "Of course you can."
"Then it's settled."
Seeing Ning Fan head toward the table, Old Zhang was alard and walked to the croupier, "You take a break."
Seeing this, Carn's face darkened, as if realizing sothing, and signaled the security guards.
Following orders, the guards made an excuse to close the table and asked the guests about to place bets to leave.
"Perfect ti to sit for a while."
The casino was bustling, and Ning Fan didn't want to draw attention, standing while betting, he didn't feel at ho at all.
Thinking of this, Ning Fan deeply regretted; he shouldn't have compromised back then.
After signaling the two won to sit down, Ning Fan called over a waiter and handed over all the chips, "Exchange these for larger denominations. Use the extras to get us sothing to eat?"
The waiter glanced at Carn, and with her gesture, asked, "Sir, what would you like to eat?"
"What do you have?"
"We have spaghetti, steak, French snails..."
Hearing a laundry list of gourt foods, Ning Fan directly asked, "Do you have barbecue?"
The waiter was stunned, then nodded, "We have. We offer Chinese-style barbecue."
"Then let's have so barbecue and beer, and extra cumin on the barbecue."
Upon hearing this, the Tang sisters nearly fainted, realizing this was less of gambling, more of late-night snacking.
Old Zhang was neither happy nor sad, constantly rubbing his hands, exercising his fingers,
He already knew Ning Fan was an expert at listening to dice rolls, ready to go all out next.
Three hundred-thousand chips placed along with a steaming platter of barbecue.
Watching Ning Fan hungrily devour with greasy lips, Tang Xiaodie complained, "Like a hungry ghost reborn."
"I'm enjoying it, why don't you bite ."
Saying this, Ning Fan handed a skewer of chicken wings to Vivian, "Here, have this."
Listening to Vivian crunching the bones, Mary said, "That's not how you eat it; just eat the at..."
Seeing this, Old Zhang raised an eyebrow and softly spoke,
"Sir, can we start now?"
Ning Fan replied, "Go ahead. The sooner we're done, the sooner we rest."
"Alright."
Old Zhang, holding his breath and focusing, picked up the dice cup and shook it thrice, producing three muffled thuds.
