"Place your bets!"
Ning Fan said without looking up, "Mary, fifteen."
Mary placed three chips in the box marked "fifteen."
"Fifteen!"
The old man Zhang was surprised. With his years of dice-shaking experience, he certainly knew the points inside the dice cup.
He opened the dice cup, and there they were, four, five, six, making fifteen points.
Old Zhang announced expressionlessly, "Fifteen points, big."
At that mont, Carn's eyes twitched, then transford into the croupier and handed nine chips worth a hundred grand each to Mary, principal and interest included.
Mary asked in confusion, "Is the payoff for guessing the points really that low?"
She genuinely didn't understand, just thought since guessing the points was so hard, the payoffs should be higher.
Hearing this, an awkward expression flashed across everyone's face.
If the payoff was only twofold, a gambler would have to be crazy to guess the points, as the reward clearly didn't match the risk.
But Carn replied earnestly, "Points are only doubled, while the multiplier for triples is higher at tenfold."
"How co this is..."
Hearing Tang Xiaodie speak up, Tang Xiaoyue hurriedly covered her mouth, "Aren't you already making enough trouble?"
Tang Xiaodie protested, "How am I making trouble?"
"You..."
Tang Xiaoyue felt a bit guilty; if she hadn't been indulgent, her sister wouldn't have provoked Ning Fan into taking it seriously.
"If this man loses, it's fine. But if he wins, I'm afraid..."
Tang Xiaoyue's eyes revealed a hint of worry. If he won, the losses for the Venetian Casino might have to be covered by the Tang family.
Otherwise, it would not only implicate the old man Zhang but might also cause outsiders to mistakenly think the Tang family had conspired with an outsider to fleece the Venetian Casino.
In between his barbecue battle, Ning Fan took a mont to say, "It doesn't matter. If the payoff is low, it's low. At worst, I'll waste a little ti."
As for whether the casino was doing anything shady with the odds, Ning Fan didn't even bother to think about it.
Not to ntion the twofold, even if it's only point-fivefold, Ning Fan wouldn't mind, as long as he didn't lose back more than he won.
Hearing this, Old Zhang's expression changed slightly as he prepared for the second round.
After the sound of dice shaking, Ning Fan said, "Eight."
Mary asked in confusion, "All-in?"
"Of course it's all-in."
Ning Fan said discontentedly, "This barbecue isn't authentic at all. Let's finish early and find you sothing good to eat."
"Hmm... Hmm, I think it's delicious."
"Nonsense, of course, you think it's good since you don't consu seasoning."
While Ning Fan mumbled, the dice cup was opened.
"Two, three, three. Eight."
Seeing this, sweat popped out on Carn's forehead as he nervously handed over chips worth two million seven hundred thousand.
Then he cast a suspicious glance at Old Zhang; only now did he realize sothing was amiss.
"Sis..."
"Shut up."
Tang Xiaodie lost control of her emotions a bit, aware they had hit a brick wall today.
This man's dice technique was even above Old Zhang's.
In the third round, just as Mary was about to place all the chips on seven,
Carn hurriedly said, "The betting limit for this table is a million."
No one said anything this ti; the limit for this table indeed was a million.
"A million, then a million."
After that, it settled into a fixed pattern,
Shake the dice, place bets, open the cup, lose money.
No matter how Old Zhang shook the dice cup, trying his best to use technique to interfere with the dice listening, Ning Fan seed able to see through it every ti with pinpoint accuracy.
In the end, even Old Zhang didn't know what he'd shaken out.
He used so many techniques that he'd managed to confuse himself.
"Place your bets!"
Old Zhang panted, prolonging dice shaking exhausted not only his arm strength but his energy as well.
"Haha. The opportunity has finally co; I've finally caught a big fish."
Just as the crowd speculated on Ning Fan's intent, they heard him ask, "Did you just say triples pay tenfold?"
"That's right!"
Staring at the stacks of chips in front of Mary, Carn responded absent-mindedly, then in a panic, quickly added, "But you have to guess the points first."
"No kidding."
Ning Fan rolled his eyes, "Three threes, triples."
Noticing Carn's look, Old Zhang shook his head disappointedly, indicating he didn't know either.
Needless to say, the result of the cup being opened.
The dice sat in a neatly finished pyramid, each face showing three, as if everyone had just seen a ghost.
"What are you standing there for? Pay up."
Carn looked like he'd lost his father as he handed over eleven chips representing a million each.
"Still missing half of the target; this efficiency is too slow."
Listening to Ning Fan's dissatisfied grumble, Carn almost fainted,
If it weren't for his quick wit to change the rules, this casino might've gone bankrupt.
"Continue."
Old Zhang shook his head, approached Ning Fan, and spoke admiringly, "I lost. Treat this as our apology. Please, sir, show rcy."
Old Zhang still had an ace up his sleeve, but Ning Fan's calm deanor scared him.
Worried that using the ace would lead to more misunderstanding.
Since he could shake the dice, at the mont of cup opening, Old Zhang could change the dice with precise skill.
But unless absolutely necessary, he didn't want to use that move.
Seeing the old man putting on airs of seniority, Ning Fan laughed irritably, "What do you an by apology? I won this fair and square."
Seeing Ning Fan not accepting, Old Zhang found it hard to maintain his dignity; with his status and age, such an apology was sincerely made.
Moreover, offering nearly fifty million as an apology.
Switching to another casino, they definitely wouldn't be so generous.
Though casinos claim integrity, it's just for show; if they truly want to eat the big spender, they might not even know how they died.
Seeing the atmosphere reach a deadlock, Tang Xiaoyue intervened, "Sir, we were indeed wrong. I apologize here."
As she spoke, she brought Tang Xiaodie over as well.
Ning Fan chuckled, "I don't get it. You haven't done anything wrong. Why apologize? Just treat like an ordinary gambler."
At that mont, Carn said in a somber tone, "Sir, this is The Venetian. I hope you know when to stop."
As soon as those words ca out, Tang Xiaoyue and Old Zhang knew things were bad.
Sure enough! In the next second, they saw Ning Fan's smile turn into ice.
From previous situations, it was evident Ning Fan was soft-hearted yet precise.
If nothing unexpected happened, he would've cashed out graciously and left.
This was why they chose mild persuasion; sure, they'd suffer insults from ti to ti, but they could calm the storm.
But Carn's threatening words completely changed the nature of the matter.
Ning Fan sneered, "I only know this is a casino; knowing when to stop is my business."
"Sir, are you sure you want to continue?"
Carn's eyes glinted dangerously; he was grateful for his foresight in clearing out gamblers ahead of ti; otherwise, he wouldn't dare make threats face-to-face.
Ning Fan replied coldly, "No more nonsense. Can we start now?"
"I'm tired."
After a mont's thought, Old Zhang decided not to wade into troubled waters.
