"To my left is my father, Ge’er Feite, and to my right is Grand Duke Si Mo’er, representing the Royal Family as a witness!"
Ge’er Kusi introduced the witnesses attending the event.
Si Mo’er!?
Jiang Chen was slightly taken aback. He cast a surprised glance at Si Mo’er, who happened to look at him at the sa ti. Their eyes t, and Si Mo’er revealed a subtle and profound smile.
"This gentleman here is Mr. Bu Langshi, an adjudicator from the Holy Court Tribunal, representing the Holy Court as a witness. And this young man is Master Adam Lee, representing the Chaide Family as a witness."
Ge’er Kusi continued introducing the key figures seated in the primary positions on both sides.
The Chaide Family?
Jiang Chen glanced at Adam Lee, who caught his gaze and raised an eyebrow at Jiang Chen.
Huh?
Does he know ?
Jiang Chen felt a flash of surprise.
Jiang Chen suddenly noticed sothing intriguing. Leaving aside Ge’er Kusi and Ge’er Feite from the Ge’er Family, the other three witnesses displayed peculiar connections: Bu Langshi was an acquaintance; there were minor conflicts between himself and Si Mo’er; and, interestingly, this young representative from the Chaide Family also seed to know him.
How fascinating.
"Alright, now that the witnesses have been introduced, let us begin the competition! The rules for determining the winner are as follows: each side will introduce their connections among the attendees one by one. Side One will na an individual, and Side Two must then na a power capable of neutralizing the influence of the first. The process continues until one party fails to counter the other."
Ge’er Kusi declared the rules of the contest and glanced at Ge’er Yan and Ge’er Pusi on either side. "The first match will test comrcial power. Which of you would like to start?"
Hearing this setup, Jiang Chen suddenly thought of a simple ga: ’Matching Tiles!’
"I’ll go first!"
Before Ge’er Kusi could finish his sentence, Ge’er Pusi jumped in eagerly, giving Ge’er Yan a provocative look. He then stood, gesturing toward the fifth individual seated behind him along his row. "This gentleman is none other than Mr. Kuemu Si, the head of the Plai’an Family—one of the top ten influential families of Country F."
"Kuemu Si? That’s a heavyweight figure!"
"The Plai’an Family’s strength is only slightly beneath that of our Ge’er Family!"
"Ge’er Yan’s side is definitely at a disadvantage. This family’s influence could sway the entire economy of a nation!"
Ge’er Pusi’s opening move sent ripples of discussion among the mbers of the Ge’er Family.
Ge’er Pusi, wearing a mocking grin, turned to Ge’er Yan and taunted, "Ge’er Yan, whom will you na?"
Ge’er Yan looked back at Jiang Chen. After all, the group seated behind him (excluding Yan Mo) consisted solely of allies summoned by Jiang Chen, so it was naturally up to Jiang Chen to make the call.
Jiang Chen glanced at Ge’er Pusi before shifting his gaze toward Ge’er Kusi and asking in a calm voice, "Head of the Ge’er Family, I have a question: must the individual introduced have personal prestige equal to their counterpart, or can their represented power suffice for neutralization?"
Ge’er Kusi paused for a mont before quickly catching on. A hint of amusent flickered in his eyes as he softly replied, "The represented power."
"That simplifies matters." Jiang Chen nodded gently before eting Ge’er Pusi’s gaze. "My na is Jiang Chen, Chairman of Longteng Group—Jiang Chen."
"Longteng Group is one of Fla Dragon’s two comrcial titans and can match the Plai’an Family’s comrcial influence."
The mont Jiang Chen spoke, Bu Langshi was the first to make his stance clear.
"Agreed!"
"Agreed!"
Adam Lee and Grand Duke Si Mo’er also voiced their agreent.
With three out of five witnesses in favor, the match was considered neutralized!
With the majority of witnesses agreeing, Ge’er Kusi turned to Ge’er Yan and remarked, "Ge’er Yan, your turn to introduce soone first."
Ge’er Yan once again looked at Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen, with a faint smile playing on his lips, directed a playful glance at Ge’er Pusi and said, "Jiang Chen, Chairman of Jiuzhou Group—Jiang Chen."
"What? Him again?"
"Wait, sothing’s off. First, he ntioned Longteng Group, and now he brings up Jiuzhou Group!"
"What the hell! No wonder he asked about people versus power earlier. This guy..."
"He’s also the Chairman of Yi Chen Group, isn’t he? Doesn’t this an he can represent three powers on his own?!"
The mbers of the Ge’er Family were briefly stunned before collectively turning toward Ge’er Pusi. Jiang Chen had broken no rules, so it was entirely up to Ge’er Pusi to manage a response!
Ge’er Pusi’s face darkened. He had sohow neglected Jiang Chen’s affiliation with three different forces, aning Jiang Chen alone could theoretically neutralize three of his own representatives.
Glancing at the individuals seated further down on Jiang Chen’s side, Ge’er Pusi frowned. Gesturing to the individual sitting to Kuemu Si’s right, he introduced his next choice. "Mr. Tamu, Chairman of Feili Group—one of the world’s top 100 corporations!"
"What? He’s the head of Feili Group?"
"Feili Group isn’t just..."
"This..."
The crowd was once again left speechless, their gazes collectively shifting toward Grand Duke Si Mo’er.
"Feili Group is a comrcial entity, so its inclusion aligns with the rules." Si Mo’er opined coolly.
Ge’er Kusi’s eyes glimred fleetingly before he nodded lightly. "It ets the rules. Neutralization accepted."
"Agreed!"
"Agreed!"
With three witnesses consenting again, the match reached another stalemate!
"The head of the Nair Family—one of Country F’s top ten families—Mr. Laisen."
"Jiang Chen, Chairman of Yi Chen Group!"
...
After a few more rounds of competition, where Jiang Chen’s influence managed to neutralize three counterparts at once, his side gradually ran out of individuals with comrcial connections. anwhile, Ge’er Pusi’s team still had two remaining allies.
Sneering at Jiang Chen’s group, Ge’er Pusi scanned their ranks dismissively and mocked, "Head of the Jiang Family, Ge’er Yan, it seems like you’ve run out of people to na. Rember, this is a business competition!"
He gestured to a round, middle-aged man in his row. Carrying the air of a victor, Ge’er Pusi announced with great fanfare, "Mr. Bu Lang, the Southern Federation’s designated exclusive distributor by the Pa Mi’er Family, and the leading oil supplier of Liga Continent."
Pausing for effect, Ge’er Pusi turned, smiling triumphantly at Ge’er Yan and Jiang Chen. "Ge’er Yan, Head of the Jiang Family, do the two of you have anyone left to introduce? Because the rest of your guests... don’t really seem to co from the world of business."
Ge’er Yan shot a glare at Ge’er Pusi, his expression betraying his frustration.
"Looks like Ge’er Yan’s side doesn’t have any business representatives left to offer!"
"The remaining individuals seated behind him appear to be exceptionally strong martial artists—clearly forces aligned with combat, not comrce."
"It’s over! Ge’er Yan has lost!"
"I told you Ge’er Pusi would win. Ge’er Yan is just a wild... a rcenary. How many influential people could soone like him even know?"
The mbers of the Ge’er Family began to chatter amongst themselves, already certain of Ge’er Pusi’s victory.
"Ge’er Yan, if you don’t na soone soon, you’ll be declared the loser of this round," Ge’er Pusi pressed smugly.
Jiang Chen cast a sly look at Ge’er Pusi and quipped, "How about you take a closer look at that Mr. Bu Lang’s face before you get ahead of yourself?"
Ge’er Pusi froze montarily before turning toward Bu Lang.
At that mont, Bu Lang’s expression betrayed him—his eyes flickered erratically, cold sweat beading on his forehead.
His face was as pale as a sheet!
