"What’s wrong with you, Mr. Bu Lang?"
"Yeah, Mr. Bu Lang seems a little uncomfortable!"
"Why do I feel like Mr. Bu Lang looks scared?"
"What is he afraid of?"
The mbers of the Ge’er Family began to notice that sothing was off and started discussing it in confusion.
"Mr. Bu Lang, what’s the matter?" Ge’er Pusi’s heart stirred with a foreboding sense of unease.
Bu Lang heard this, glanced at Ge’er Pusi, then turned to look at Jiang Chen, with a pleading expression in his eyes.
"Perhaps Mr. Bu Lang feels that he’s seated in the wrong position?" Jiang Chen spoke indifferently.
"Yes, yes, that’s it! I sat in the wrong spot, I sat in the wrong spot!"
Upon hearing this, Bu Lang nodded hurriedly as though relieved, and quickly stood up to head toward the far end of the conference table.
Ge’er Pusi froze for a mont and called out in astonishnt, "Mr. Bu Lang."
Bu Lang ignored him completely and walked on.
The mbers of the Ge’er Family displayed varying degrees of confusion, their gazes following Bu Lang’s movents.
"What... what’s happening here?!"
"How is this possible?! Mr. Bu Lang, he..."
"Wasn’t Mr. Bu Lang invited by Pusi? How could he..."
"Can soone explain what’s going on here?"
Exclamations of shock filled the conference room among the Ge’er Family mbers.
Ge’er Pusi’s face turned completely dark as he snarled, "Mr. Bu Lang, what is the aning of this?"
Bu Lang, after walking halfway around the table, plopped down in the empty seat next to Jiang Chen’s row.
Upon hearing Ge’er Pusi’s low growl, Bu Lang raised his head and glared at him angrily, saying, "Ge’er Pusi, don’t try to harm . From now on, I have no association with you. I’m supporting Young Master Ge’er Yan!"
"What?!"
"This..."
The mbers of the Ge’er Family were dumbfounded, staring blankly at Bu Lang.
The witnesses including Ge’er Kusi were stunned as well. A last-minute betrayal at the heir competition? Such a thing had never been heard of before!
"Mr. Bu Lang, why? Have I offended you in so way?" Ge’er Pusi was shocked and called out urgently.
Bu Lang glared at Ge’er Pusi with fury. "You have offended —offended deeply! Are you trying to ruin completely? Destroy everything I have, is that it?!"
"Mr. Bu Lang, you’re saying too much," Jiang Chen said calmly.
"Yes, yes, yes!"
Bu Lang hastily nodded, obediently sat upright in his chair, clamped his mouth shut, and chose to remain silent.
Everyone turned their gaze to Jiang Chen, revealing peculiar expressions. If, at this point, they still couldn’t see the reason for Bu Lang’s sudden betrayal, then they would have to be fools. However, they couldn’t understand why Bu Lang seed so terrified of Jiang Chen!
"Jiang Chen, what did you do?" Ge’er Pusi glared furiously at Jiang Chen and shouted angrily.
Jiang Chen looked at Ge’er Pusi with a casual glance and feigned innocence. "What could I have done? I simply asked Mr. Bu Lang if maybe he’d sat in the wrong position, and he moved by himself. What could that possibly have to do with ?"
"Nothing to do with you? Nothing to do with you, my foot!"
The Ge’er Family mbers silently complained in their hearts. At the sa ti, they knew full well that whover Bu Lang supported was entirely his own choice—and no amount of argunt from them would change that.
"You..." Ge’er Pusi stared at Jiang Chen with fury, too enraged to speak. A betrayal at the crucial mont—this not only reduced the strength on his side, but increased the opposing forces as well. The worst part? His side was now left with just one ally. What kind of disaster had he invoked upon himself?
At this mont, Ge’er Pusi felt a deep regret about inviting Bu Lang. This wasn’t bringing in a supporter—it was essentially inviting an enemy!
Ge’er Pusi was speechless, while Ge’er Yan spoke up with a thrilled expression:
"Ge’er Pusi, enough with the bickering. It’s your turn to introduce soone!"
Earlier, Ge’er Yan had nearly resigned himself to defeat. But unwillingness in his heart had stopped him from saying anything—and then sothing completely unexpected happened! This first round of competition, at the very least, was now a tie!
Ge’er Yan let out a long sigh of relief in his heart!
Ge’er Pusi’s face darkened further as he shot a glare at Ge’er Yan and turned to the last business figure in his row.
"My influence is about on par with Mr. Bu Lang’s," the man said softly.
"Agreed!" Si Mo’er promptly began verifying.
Jiang Chen glanced at Si Mo’er and smiled slightly, but said nothing.
"Agreed!"
"Agreed!"
Seeing no objections from Jiang Chen’s side, Bu Langshi and several others confird the claim.
"Alright, the result of the first business competition is a draw..." The Head of the Ge’er Family started to announce the verdict.
"Wait a mont!" Jiang Chen suddenly interrupted.
Ge’er Kusi froze montarily, then turned to Jiang Chen. "Head of the Jiang Family, do you have any objections regarding the balance just now?"
"Ha! Who do you think you are to question the verification process?" Si Mo’er, the Grand Duke, thundered angrily, his cold stare fixed on Jiang Chen. "Do you not hold the Royal Family, the Chaide Family, or the Holy Court in any regard?"
"Grand Duke Si Mo’er, why are you so worked up? Did I say I was questioning the verification process just now?"
Jiang Chen casually glanced at Si Mo’er, a slight doubt rising in his heart.
Was suppressing the Feili Group’s expansion in Zhudao City and Zhou Yi District such a grave offense?
"You’re not questioning the verification?"
Ge’er Kusi said, perplexed, "Then why did you interrupt , Head of the Jiang Family?"
"We haven’t finished introducing everyone!"
Jiang Chen said matter-of-factly, "Why announce the result before the introductions are complete?"
"Not finished introducing?"
"They still have people to introduce?!"
"The remaining people... are there still business figures?"
The mbers of the Ge’er Family began sizing up Spirit You and the others.
Ge’er Kusi paused for a mont, glanced at Spirit You and the group, and asked hesitantly, "Is there anyone else who needs an introduction?"
"Of course!" Jiang Chen smiled faintly. "It’s our turn to introduce, isn’t it?"
"Indeed!" The Head of the Ge’er Family nodded in agreent.
Jiang Chen turned his gaze toward Ge’er Pusi and spoke teasingly, "Ge’er Pusi, let’s return your earlier words. Do you have anyone else to introduce? It seems that the people left in your row—if I’m not mistaken—are nothing more than two rcenary corps leaders, correct?"
"Hmph! Jiang Chen, don’t get so smug! Aren’t you the one presenting now? Fine, introduce your people! I refuse to believe the remaining strong figures on your side are from the business world!" Ge’er Pusi retorted coldly, staring at Jiang Chen.
"Did I say I’d introduce them?"
Jiang Chen grinned, adding, "Hadn’t you introduced Bu Lang earlier, I might have completely forgotten! Let make my introduction now—listen carefully. Liga Continent’s leading oil supplier, Pamir Family-designated regional distributor for the Yasna Continent—Jiang Chen!"
"What?!"
"He... he’s also the Pamir Family-designated regional distributor for the Yasna Continent?!"
"What the hell! Is this guy even human?! One individual representing four top-tier business forces?!"
"This, this, this..."
The Ge’er Family mbers were utterly astounded and stared at Jiang Chen in their shock.
