"You dared to make a move at the entrance of the Forsaken Tavern, aren’t you afraid of offending the people of the tavern?"
Jiang Chen looked at Chen Kang, a hint of puzzlent in his eyes. Isn’t this Forsaken Town the territory of the Gold-devouring Mice clan? How dare these people cause trouble at the tavern entrance, and where did they get the courage?
"Heh heh!"
With a mocking expression, Chen Kang looked at Jiang Chen and said, "No wonder you’re following the Jin Ge Adventure Group, turns out you’re new here. Two guys at the Divine Infant Realm Peak dare to co here, you’re really tired of living, huh!"
"Brother Jiang Chen, the Forsaken Tavern doesn’t allow fighting, but it’s allowed outside the tavern. Even at the entrance, the tavern doesn’t care."
Jin Hu explained softly.
A flash of understanding appeared in Jiang Chen’s eyes. Suddenly, he sensed sothing and turned to look at the second floor of the tavern.
At the window on the second floor, several elegantly dressed young n and won were looking at them with amused expressions.
Noticing Jiang Chen’s gaze, one of the young n glanced at Jiang Chen with disdain, then turned to Chen Kang and said, "Captain Chen Kang, don’t waste ti. If you delay any longer, it will be dark soon!"
"Alright, Young Master Lin, it will be done soon!"
Chen Kang replied obsequiously to the young man, then turned to stare coldly at Jiang Chen and his companions. "Since you want to die, I’ll make it happen for you!"
With a wave of his hand, Chen Kang commanded, "Kill them!"
The faces of Jin Hu and his friends changed, and they quickly drew their weapons. Great Dao Divine Light surged, ready to engage.
"Stop!"
A loud shout ca from within the tavern as one of the tavern staff flashed by to Jiang Chen and his group.
"Brother, we didn’t enter the tavern."
Chen Kang’s expression shifted, looking warily at the staff mber as he spoke softly.
The staff mber gave Chen Kang a glance but paid him no attention. Turning to Jiang Chen with a full smile, he said, "Young Master Jiang, you’re here again."
Jiang Chen was slightly taken aback, scanning the staff mber, recognizing him as the one who had served him last ti he was here.
"It’s you, is Old Jin here?"
Smiling gently, Jiang Chen asked softly.
"He’s here, he’s here. I’ll take you to the manager right away."
The staff mber nodded repeatedly.
"No way, that kid knows Manager Jin?!"
"The Jin Ge Adventure Group has really hitched onto a big one!"
"Heh, looks like the Wei Long Adventure Group hit a hard wall. Let’s see how they explain this to those powerful forces!"
The crowd of onlookers exclaid in surprise, then looked at Chen Kang and his group with mocking expressions.
Jin Hu was dumbfounded, staring blankly at Jiang Chen. He didn’t expect that Jiang Chen actually knew the manager of the Forsaken Tavern, who was a renowned powerhouse in the entire Forsaken Town!
Chen Kang’s expression turned extrely ugly, a look of surprise in his eyes as he glanced cautiously at Jiang Chen, his brows tightly furrowed.
"These are my friends, let’s all go in together."
Jiang Chen pointed to Jin Hu and the four others.
"Please co inside!"
The staff mber gestured towards the tavern, inviting them in.
"Let’s go."
Jiang Chen smiled, stepping towards the tavern.
At this point, several mbers of the Wei Long Adventure Group were still between them and the tavern entrance, but Jiang Chen completely ignored them, walking straight past.
"Move aside!"
The staff mber, seeing those still blocking Jiang Chen’s way, shouted coldly, a cold gleam flashing in his eyes, and a fierce aura emanating from his body.
Hum!
A massive pressure erupted from the staff mber, pressing down hard on those few individuals.
Thud thud thud!
The faces of several Wei Long Adventure Group mbers turned pale, involuntarily stepping back a few steps, making way.
Jiang Chen’s eyes shifted slightly, looking at the staff mber in surprise. He didn’t expect this staff mber to be a top tier Virtual Refinent Realm expert!
"Young Master Jiang, please."
The staff mber stepped forward to lead the way, warmly inviting Jiang Chen, showing no sign of the ferocity from earlier.
Jiang Chen nodded, continuing his path to the tavern, with Yan Hu closely following.
Jin Hu and the four others exchanged glances and followed suit.
This ti, the Wei Long Adventure Group dared not stand in their way again.
"Brother Hu, who are these two brothers? Why is the tavern staff being so polite to them?"
Once inside the tavern, the three mbers of the Jin Ge Adventure Group breathed a sigh of relief and quietly asked Jin Hu.
"I don’t know either."
Jin Hu shook his head in confusion, his eyes filled with curiosity as he looked towards Jiang Chen and Yan Hu.
"Captain Jin Hu."
At the front, Jiang Chen suddenly spoke, and Jin Hu quickly quickened his pace to catch up.
"We’re going to et Old Jin first. Will you eat sothing first or what?"
Jiang Chen turned and asked Jin Hu.
"Oh, we’ll just stay on the second floor for a while."
Jin Hu replied softly.
"Alright, we’ll find you on the second floor later."
Jiang Chen smiled slightly, following the lead of the tavern staff mber.
As they ascended the stairs, Jiang Chen scanned the second floor, a hint of surprise in his eyes.
As they continued upwards, the surprise in Jiang Chen’s eyes deepened, and when they reached the top floor, Jiang Chen softly asked the staff mber, "Brother, why are there suddenly so many family descendants in the tavern?"
There were nearly half of the people in splendid attire on each floor, which was not the case during Jiang Chen’s last visit.
"Young Master Jiang, you can just call Jin Chang."
The staff mber responded with a light chuckle, "Those people ca for the Necrotic Tide. A Saint’s Corpse Spirit appeared in the tide, and almost all the forces within the inner ring dispatched people, hoping to hunt down the Saint’s Corpse Spirit and gain the Saint’s inheritance."
"There really is a Saint’s Corpse Spirit!"
Jiang Chen’s eyebrows twitched, a hint of interest sparkling in his eyes, "It seems like coming straight here was the right choice. It’s just the right ti to go to the Forsaken Plains for trials, and possibly look for the Saint’s Corpse Spirit too."
"Young Master Jiang is heading into the Forsaken Plains? Our clan has also organized a few teams to go in. If you et up, you can hunt the spirits together."
Jin Chang was montarily surprised, then replied with a light laugh.
"Alright."
Jiang Chen nodded with a light chuckle.
"Old Jin and the elder are inside."
Jin Chang escorted Jiang Chen to the door of the room from his last visit, gave instructions, and turned towards the stairway.
Knock knock knock!
Jiang Chen stepped forward and knocked on the door.
"Co in!"
A gentle laughter ca from within the room.
Jiang Chen smiled slightly, pushed open the door, and entered with Yan Hu.
Inside the room.
Jin Ming and Jin Tianlin were rrily looking at the entrance.
"Grandfather Jin, Old Jin!"
Jiang Chen saluted the two and introduced Yan Hu, "This is my brother, Yan Hu."
"Greetings, esteed elders."
Yan Hu bowed politely.
"Hehe, a Lei Ting Taoist Body, and an Acquired Realm Taoist Body at that. The people around this young fellow are not simple either!"
Jin Ming chuckled lightly, gesturing towards a nearby chair, "Have a seat."
Following the instructions, Jiang Chen and Yan Hu sat on the chairs.
