Given their prior actions, they had essentially positioned themselves against everyone. Under such circumstances, even one person escaping alive could spell their doom. How could he not be furious and distressed?
"Rest assured. As I said before, they can't escape before my master awakens," Schumacher sneered, completely unconcerned. "The Sealing Ground has been completely closed, and even the exit has disappeared. Where can they run? They're nothing more than turtles in a jar."

"Don't worry," Schumacher said with a composed sneer. "Once my master is successfully resurrected, I will hand over the relics of the eastern warriors to you, as we agreed. You both know perfectly well that those things are useless scrap to and my master. What is there left to worry about?"
So there was such an agreent between them. No wonder...
"That's good to hear. We trust you, Prince. However, I rember that little bastard Chen also cultivates the power of fire. Didn't you consider him one of your targets?" Wenn Yongshou asked suddenly, a cold glint appearing in his eyes.
"Of course, he is one of my targets," Schumacher said with a deep frown. "The trouble is, I don't know where that little bastard is hiding. I didn't see him earlier."
His targets were everyone who cultivated the power of fire. This included the Fire Elent Grand Mage lsdom, as well as the ss or ss Peak Fire Elent Mages and Ability Users. He planned to use their power to awaken his slumbering master.

They were acutely aware that cooperating with Schumacher was akin to bargaining with a tiger. But they had no choice. They had already cast their lot with him and couldn't back out now, especially since the precious relics from the eastern warriors were held firmly in their adversary's grasp.
Unless they were willing to give up on the treasured relics and resist the imnse temptation, their only option was to see this dark path through to the end. They had to gamble everything.
