The Chinook slowly descended onto the open space of the oil field.

The cargo hatch opened, and Team A from GRS imdiately scattered to occupy all critical positions, with snipers directly climbing to higher ground to set up their rifles.

Team B followed Simon and Thomas, charging straight toward the living area's storage location.

"Put down your guns!"

"Hands up!"

The "Scorpion" mbers barked at Song Heping and the others like a pack of rabid dogs.

"Suka..."

White Bear started cursing.

"I really want to kill them!"

"Calm down!" Song Heping imdiately instructed White Bear, "Let's do what we discussed earlier, don't give them an excuse to kill us."

After speaking, he voluntarily raised his hands.

"Mr. Simon, may I ask why you and your n are storming into our secured oil field so late and shouting at us? Is there so misunderstanding?"

"Misunderstanding? Not at all!"

Thomas ca up and delivered a kick straight to Song Heping's stomach.

The kick made Song Heping's vision go dark, and his breath shortened.

"Kneel!"

"What are you trying to do?!"

Disaster Star rushed forward, grabbed Thomas, and almost lifted him off the ground.

"Disaster Star, let go!"

Song Heping quickly went to pull Disaster Star away, placing himself between him and Thomas.

The barrels of several assault rifles were all pointed at Disaster Star.

Song Heping knew this was not the ti to be tough.

A wise man does not eat the loss in front of him.

There are so things you must endure if you have to.

But this grudge was now set.

Thomas would have to pay the price for this!

"Thomas, do you intend to kill people here?" Song Heping said, "Even killing people needs a reason. We are not ard militants. Killing us here, how will you explain it to the Wood Group? Do you think the newspapers in your holand won't put you on the front page tomorrow?"

"Are you threatening ?!"

Thomas snarled, pressing the gun barrel directly against Song Heping's forehead.

The cold barrel against Song Heping's warm skin.

He felt the breath of death, but his expression didn't change at all.

In Song Heping's eyes, similar brutal simulation training had been done countless tis before.

In the minds of people with special training like him, death was not scary.

Especially a shot to the head.

Just one bullet and it's over.

No pain at all.

But he knew exactly what these people in front of him feared most.

"Don't believe ? Just try, fire the gun."

Song Heping even revealed a smile.

This really angered Thomas.

"Song, you really aren't afraid of death?"

"I am," Song Heping smiled even more brightly, "I'm just afraid your hands might shake and miss the mark."

He held the gun barrel, pressing it even firr against his forehead.

"Be precise, aim down a bit, right there, just like that..."

Song Heping, in the tone of instructing a new recruit, told Thomas, "The bullet flying in from here could directly shatter the hypothalamus, which would cause to lose consciousness in less than a second. My death would only require one bullet and one second. But you, think about how much ti you'll spend getting out of your trouble after that."

Seeing how calmly Song Heping faced death, several of the "Scorpion" team mbers around froze.

They had seen fearless people before, but never soone so nonchalant about death.

Thomas's finger was already on the trigger.

And he was slowly applying pressure.

The trigger edged back little by little...

Everyone present could hear their own thunderous heartbeat.

The air itself seed to solidify, the wind disappearing as if it too awaited Thomas's shot.

The entire oil field fell silent, as if just waiting for Thomas to fire.

"Enough! Thomas!"

The site manager, Simon, finally made a decision.

"Take them away first."

"Wait!"

Song Heping spoke calmly, "Site Manager Simon, I know you're here for us, but this oil field belongs to Wood Energy Group. I believe you're aware of whose interests are behind it. You can take us away, but the local employees we hired should stay to guard the oil field.

Otherwise, if you take us all away, not to ntion the need for a few more planes, if sothing happens here while everyone's gone, I think Wood Energy will want an explanation from you CIA folks. Don't think you can act without facing consequences."

Simon's brow furrowed.

How could this man from China be so shrewd?

In fact, what he didn't know was that Song Heping had already made countless predictions about this situation with Ferrari.

Ferrari had provided Song Heping with a considerable number of analysis reports on Illiguo's internal factions and the interests and directions of CIA operations here.

Song Heping had committed these to heart—Ferrari was with the United Security Council and knew quite a bit about internal affairs.

So he was very clear about what the CIA would be wary of.

Ultimately, the US Army's invasion of Illiguo was backed by the interests of financial magnates, as well as the enormous pie of military expenditures and reconstruction funds.

And all this was related to both the Donkey Party and the Elephant Party, involving proposals and topics within the parliant.

Behind Wood was Nancy, who was the whip of the Donkey Party.

In matters such as these, even hitting a dog required considering the master, let alone killing the people in front of them.

Nancy wouldn't bother the CIA and military over the unrelated lives of Song Heping and his group, but she would definitely use the incident to heavily criticize the Elephant Party and leverage it to gain more benefits.

Therefore, Song Heping and Ferrari bet that Simon wouldn't dare deal with the people of "Musician" Defense without conclusive evidence.

"Alright, your local employees can stay."

Simon finally conceded.

"Thomas, take these guys to the plane. Have a few n search their rooms and belongings, and take everything with you."

After speaking, he pointed to Hunter.

"Where's your sniper rifle?"

Hunter jerked his head backwards.

"In my room."

"Go, bring it out here."

Simon sent one of the "Scorpion" mbers to retrieve the gun.

The M24 sniper rifle was the most crucial piece of evidence.

Soon, the sniper rifle was brought forth.

Simon glanced at the gun and put his nostril to the barrel to sll it.

The scent of gun oil was mingled with the sll of gunpowder.

This indicated that the gun had been fired in the past few days and hadn't been cleaned afterwards.

"Thomas."

"SIR!"

"Is this the gun?"

He passed Hunter's M24 sniper rifle to Thomas.

Thomas examined it, then nodded affirmatively, "No doubt about it!"

Having said that, his gaze turned to Song Heping, "Don't think you're so smart. You may have picked up the casings, but the warheads are still existent."

Song Heping feigned surprise but did not speak.

Seeing the sudden change in Song Heping's expression, Thomas smiled smugly.

"What? Scared now?"

Upon hearing this, Song Heping still remained silent.

Thomas was sure he had hit Song Heping's weak spot.

This ti he would definitely throw these guys into Guantanamo, to let them rot in the dark indefinitely.

"Get them on the plane! We're pulling out!"
