"Hiss——"

With the extended silencer and subsonic ammunition, the sound of the SV-98 sniper rifle firing was so muffled it felt like a rock thudding against dirt.

About a second later, a Vanguard soldier leading from 600 ters away was hit by an invisible sledgehamr, his entire head snapping back before he silently collapsed to the ground.

The two beside him didn't even have ti to react and instinctively looked down at their fallen comrade.

"Thump!"

The second muffled shot.

Another Vanguard's chest erupted in a burst of blood as he staggered and fell backward.

"Enemy attack! Sniper!"

The third Vanguard finally reacted, shouting in terror while firing aimlessly around and trying to find cover.

But it was too late.

Song Heping had already put down the observation mirror and swiftly and accurately fired two short bursts from his HK416 assault rifle.

Bang bang——

Bang bang——

The surviving Vanguard had just taken two steps when blood splattered from his body again, and he fell to the ground with a scream and lay still.

The entire firefight, from the first muffled sniper shot to the final burst from the assault rifle, lasted less than five seconds.

The three Vanguard soldiers were efficiently eliminated, giving the opponent almost no ti to react.

"Retreat!"

Song Heping shouted softly, not lingering in battle.

The objective had been achieved.

If the opposing side were a US Army Special Forces team, with their capabilities, they would soon find this place.

That's right.

That's exactly what he wanted.

Now, he and Hunter needed to get out of here as quickly as possible, ensuring they left a trail for the enemy to track the sniper team.

Hunter instantly retrieved his sniper rifle, smoothly picking up several 7.62x54mm R casings that had fallen at his feet and stuffing them into his pocket—a professional habit to leave as few traces as possible.

But both he and Song Heping knew that moving quickly across the dry ground without leaving any trace at all was impossible.

The two slipped out through a more concealed fissure at the back of the cave, which was the escape route they had previously scouted.

Using the shadow and complex terrain for cover, they quickly retreated in the opposite direction, towards where Petrovsky's team was located.

Their movents were swift, but they stepped only on pre-selected landing spots to minimize traces, constantly using rocks and shrubs to obstruct any possible aerial or rearward views.

"Razor Squad! We've been ambushed ahead! Vanguard Squad under attack!"

Captain Langsen received the chaotic report from the Vanguard at almost the sa mont as the gunfire. He imdiately raised his fist, and the entire squad instantly halted their advance, quickly spreading out to take advantageous positions.

"Sniper! With a silencer!"

Based on the report, Langsen instantly determined the nature of the threat.

"Drone! Scan the area 800-1000 ters ahead of , focusing on the hillside rock areas! Find that rat for !"

The Grim Reaper drone in the sky imdiately adjusted its angle, focusing the high-definition cara and infrared detector on the direction of the cave where Song Heping and Hunter had previously hidden.

But due to the angle, it could only capture the top and side of the boulder at the entrance, unable to check inside the cave.

On the thermal imaging, because of the rock layer's insulation and the swift dissipation of body heat after they left, only a cold rocky patch was displayed.

"Command, Death God-2 reporting, no clear thermal signals found in the designated area! Suspected firing point located beneath the rock layer, reconnaissance blind spot exists!"

"Damn!"

Major Jas swore over the channel.

"They were indeed hiding in the cave! Langsen, they are bound to run! Intercept them! Catch those damned Russian mice!"

Captain Langsen didn't need urging. He was already leading the Razor Squad, employing skillful tactical maneuvers, advancing quickly and cautiously towards the hillside flank where the cave was located.

They didn't dare to move directly along the riverbed, instead utilizing alternating cover along the slope.

A few minutes later, a mber of the Razor Squad was the first to arrive below the cave.

Under the cover of his teammates, he rapidly climbed the rock, cautiously approaching the entrance before tossing a hand grenade inside.

Boom——

After the blast of fire, dust filled the air.

He and another comrade quickly rushed in...

"Clear! No one in the cave!"

A few seconds later, he reported via the individual radio.

"Traces of the sniper position found, and... several indistinct footprints leading northwest!"

Captain Langsen imdiately followed, entering the cave to quickly check the surrounding environnt before focusing on the ground.

There were clear marks of a gun emplacent on the ground, and a faint scent of gunpowder and human warmth seed to linger in the air.

He squatted down, carefully examining the deliberately concealed but still recognizable footprints.

"Two people. Not lightly equipped. Haven't been gone long."

Langsen quickly made a judgnt, speaking into the microphone: "Command, 'Razor' reporting, target has fled the nest, escaping toward the northwest, deeper into Mannier Valley."

"Lock them down! The Kurdish Company should imdiately pursue at maximum speed along their tracks! 'Grim Reaper' will provide you with forward path reconnaissance and fire support! Repeat, do not let them get away!"

Jas appeared confident.

"Razor understood!"

With a wave of Langsen's hand, team mbers imdiately chased after the subtle traces left by Song Heping and Hunter, like hounds.

Under orders, the mass of Kurdish Company began crowding along the riverbed and slopes, surging toward the heart of Mannier Valley District.

There were many of them, though their training and equipnt were far inferior to the "Razor" squad, being locals familiar with the environnt and terrain, they could still exert imnse pressure in such a pursuit and sweep.

anwhile, at the eastern entrance of Mannier Valley.

Major Petrovsky was finally greeted by his "guests."

Through binoculars, he saw the 1515 Arms militants pouring into narrow passageways, like a flock of sheep.

They wore mottled robes, carrying various weapons, faces brimming with fanaticism and loot excitent, showing hardly any semblance of formation.

"A bunch of rabble..."

Petrovsky snickered coldly in his heart.

As the vanguard of about fifty entered the passage completely, with following troops squeezed at the entrance, Petrovsky softly uttered a word over the radio: "Action."

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

A series of deadly explosions erupted consecutively!

Thin tripwires triggered the prefabricated shrapnel warhead at the core of the mines upon leg contact, hundreds of steel balls spraying forward horizontally in a fan shape!

In an instant, blood and gore filled the narrow passageway!

Screams rose and fell!

The militants at the forefront toppled down like cut wheat.

"Enemy attack! We're ambushed!"

"Landmines! Careful of landmines!"

Chaotic cries replaced the previous fervor.

However, the nightmare was just beginning.

As the explosion reverberated, the remaining militants frantically searched for cover or attempted to retreat, the MON-100 directional anti-personnel mine, painstakingly stationed by Nikola with a remote fuse, exploded violently under Petrovsky's control!

"Boom!!!"

This explosion was deafening!

Like a gigantic shotgun firing at close range, densely packed steel balls ford a deathly tal storm, covering a large middle-section area of the passage, ripping apart the militants trying to shelter behind rocks!

"Open fire!"

Petrovsky's voice was icy and rciless.

"Bang!"

"Cold Blade" Dmitry's silenced sniper rifle spoke first, and a militant who seed to be a small leader waving a handgun fell to the ground in response.

Tat-tat-tat-tat——

Machine gunner "Iron Hamr" Volkov imdiately pulled the trigger, the universal machine gun roaring a muffled yet sustained growl, scalding warheads pouring out, brutally whipping the crowded following troops at the passage entrance, instantly producing substantial casualties and chaos.

Other SSO mbers opened fire in succession, precise and deadly short bursts pinpointing militants attempting to organize counterattacks or find firing positions.

Within one or two minutes, the entire eastern passage had turned into a literal Death Corridor.

Bodies piled layer upon layer, blood dyeing the dry soil red, the wails of wounded appeared eerie amidst the gunfire and explosion intervals.

Behind the passage, Abu Omar's face turned pale, staring wide-eyed at the hellish scene ahead.

His fierce subordinates proved utterly vulnerable against the opponent's carefully arranged death trap and precise firepower!

"Rocket launcher! Blow away those Russian positions for !"

Omar reacted, shouting hoarsely.

Several militants carrying RPG-7s attempted to aim, but as soon as they revealed themselves, they were precisely shot down by "Cold Blade" or flanking fire from SSO mbers.

A few daredevils tried to launch an assault, but amidst land mines, snipers, and machine gun fire, it was essentially suicide.

Heavy losses!

Unprecedentedly severe!

Omar's heart bled.

Only now did he realize that his opponents weren't those feeble governnt forces, easily broken, but well-trained, well-equipped, ruthless elite Russian Special Forces!

"Damn it! Damn Russians!"

Omar hid behind a huge stone, yelling at his confidant: "Have them retreat first, do not proceed! We are too few! Charging could only result in death!"

Saying this, he furiously pulled out a satellite phone, frantically calling the rear: "We need support! Repeat! We need support! Where are my reinforcing two thousand n? I need heavy firepower here, they possess advantageous terrain, I'm going to blast them with mortars..."
