ngdan Town.
The support troops of the KIK ard group, a full platoon, finally marched into the small town.
Captain Wu Tunqin jumped down from the jeep, imdiately shocked by the scene before him.
He had also been to the small red building with his superiors to attend banquets and had seen its luxury, but now in front of him was a completely unrecognizable building, with flas still burning on the first floor, and upon closer inspection, found that the entire floor of the second story had collapsed.
"Turn on the lights! Shine the headlights over here!"
Knowing the electric circuits must have been destroyed, he signaled the five vehicles he brought to project their headlights in that direction.
"Quick! Go in and put out the fire, rescue people! See if Boss Batchai and the other guests are still there!"
He was so anxious because his superior had just given him an order to ensure the safety of everyone in the building at all costs.
Now...
Ensuring a damn thing.
It would be good if a few people survived, looking at it this way.
He hurried back to his vehicle to contact his superior via the radio.
"Commander, the situation here is grim. We've arrived, but the building has collapsed, and it seems most people are dead."
"How could this happen?!"
The commander on the other end beca furious imdiately.
"You hurry and see who's still alive, especially those white people, they absolutely must not die!"
"Alright... I'm going to check right now..."
Before he could put down the radio, he suddenly heard a loud "bang" from an explosion.
Flas burst out from the small red building like a dragon fleeing its cage, and even at a distance of more than ten ters from the small red building, the shock wave slamd the jeep's door forcefully against Wu Tunqin.
This collision turned him into a sandwich, directly caught between the door and the vehicle, imdiately letting out a shrill scream.
The windows of several trucks shattered, scattering shards of glass everywhere.
"What's going on?! What happened?! Wu Tunqin! What's happening over there?"
Wu Tunqin picked himself up from the ground, enduring the pain to pick up the radio.
"Commander, there was an explosion here..."
Watching the smoking small red building and the debris scattered all over the yard, Wu Tunqin's mind went blank.
"An explosion?! How did it explode?!"
"It seems they rigged so kind of trap, our n went in to rescue people and triggered it..."
"Idiot! Are you a pig?! Didn't you know to be more careful when entering?! Damn it! I want to shoot you!"
Hearing his superior raging over the phone, Wu Tunqin was frightened and shocked.
In his heart, he cursed continuously, "Damn it, it's easy for you to say. Co here! You co and command! It's pitch-black, how the hell would anyone know what's inside! You're the one who rushed to save people, and you're the one who scolds !"
But on the surface, he didn't dare to retort, his heart ice-cold with fear of being executed.
Just then, a soldier ca to report.
"Platoon leader, two off-road vehicles have arrived outside, all filled with white people."
Before his words fell, the two vehicles had already driven straight into the yard.
All the soldiers' gun muzzles lifted in unison, aid at the off-road vehicles.
"Put down your guns!"
A blond middle-aged man dressed in tactical gear ca down from the front passenger side of the lead vehicle.
He raised his hands, asking loudly, "Who's in charge here?"
Wu Tunqin imdiately sensed sothing was wrong and quickly stepped forward, saying, "I am, who are you?"
"I am one of Mr. Joyce's n."
He glanced at the small red building, a flicker of surprise and disappointnt passing through his eyes.
Obviously, he could see it too.
The building had exploded to such an extent, the people inside were probably gone.
"Damn it! Have you found Mr. Joyce?"
"Not yet... there was a trap here, we triggered it, an explosion occurred, and several of my people... are dead..."
Wu Tunqin seed to realize that sothing was terribly wrong.
These were people from the CIA.
They usually don't stay here regularly, most are on the Thai side, disguised as tourists, entering the country when necessary.
This ti, a small team ca over with Joyce.
Just tonight, Joyce only brought two of them to ngdan Town.
Wu Tunqin was aware of these details.
But now, the people were gone...
The CIA had co knocking again.
Big trouble...
For many years, the KIK ard organization had relied on the clandestine support of the Aricans, with lots of arms and weapons provided by them, along with regular funds.
The CIA even had dealings with Batchai in the drug trade, with annual shares heading to Europe and Arica controlled by Joyce.
In essence, Joyce was the CIA's representative for affairs in this region.
If Joyce were to die here, and Batchai as well...
The consequences were sothing even the Commander would struggle to bear.
Just thinking about this made Wu Tunqin's scalp tingle.
Seeing the situation, the leading white man took out his phone and called the Commander.
"Commander, I demand you to imdiately deploy everyone to block the routes to China! Imdiately! I suspect the people who attacked ngdan Town are Chinese Special Forces!"
"Captain Harold, I'm truly sorry Mr. Joyce has died, but such a request puts in a difficult position... You need to know that I only control a small portion of this territory, north of here belongs to the SSA, and I can't command them."
The Commander sounded troubled.
In reality, he too knew that Batchai had grown too close to the CIA over the years, and a lot went on behind his back, just because of the CIA's backing.
He had long been displeased with him.
However, out of respect for the Aricans and considering the drug business tributes from Batchai, he had been willing to offer protection.
If it really was China intervening, he definitely didn't want to get involved.
After all, China was an entity he couldn't afford to provoke.
As for the drug trade, if a Batchai dies, simply prop up another. There will always be soone to make that money, and as long as it's on his territory, they have to pay him tribute. To him, there was no loss.
But clashing with China was a different nature of problem, easily drawing trouble upon oneself.
"Hmph! Commander, don't think I don't know what you're thinking," Harold scoffed with a warning. "You are afraid of provoking the Chinese people, but are you not afraid of provoking us? If Joyce dies on your turf, do you think a casually uttered apology will suffice? Dream on! And don't bla for not warning you, if you dare to fob us off, then losing our support, other ard organizations are indeed interested in your territory."
The threat was blatant.
How could the Commander not know?
The situation in Myanmar was chaotically intertwined, with nurous Civilian Military forces scattered everywhere, other ard groups' territories nearby, and notable families. Truly unwise to annoy the Aricans who would readily support another to swallow up his turf.
As Harold hesitated, he offered a carrot: "Commander, you can't confirm who they are. Saying they are Chinese Special Forces is just my guess. Pretend you don't know, just deploy people to block the roads. As for the other ard territories, I will coordinate, you don't have to worry about that. This ti it's not you causing trouble for China, they've co to you. You can act as though you know nothing, just give the orders. Also, lend one of your companies to assist . I'm going to pursue that small team that attacked ngdan Town. I need to borrow your n."
With the steps laid out like this, the Commander on the phone couldn't say much else, so he spoke to Harold, "Alright, Captain Wu Tunqin is next to you, right? Put him on the phone."
"The phone is for you."
Captain Harold handed the phone to Wu Tunqin.
Wu Tunqin hesitated for a mont, but still took it.
"Okay, okay, okay," he agreed.
After listening to the phone call, Wu Tunqin said to Captain Harold, "Captain, from now on, you are our commander. What shall we do next?"
Harold replied, "Leave ten n here to search the site, the rest will co with . By the way, do you have any heavy weapons on your vehicles?"
"We have mortars and rocket launchers..." Wu Tunqin said, "The rest are rifles. We don't have heavy weapons like planes or artillery."
Harold nodded, "Follow my orders, get in the vehicles now, we're going after them!"
