Henry heaved a long sigh of relief upon receiving a phone call from Song Heping.
"Boss, are you okay?!"
"Still hanging in there..."
Song Heping moved his arm a bit, but his chest still hurt.
He lifted his shirt and glanced down.
The bandaging craftsmanship was decent; it seed professionally done.
"Henry, any news on the Dark Web?"
"Yes...we released the photos, and they've been seen by many on the Dark Web."
Henry didn't sound happy.
"But in the real world, no one knows about this. No newspaper dares to publish these photos, as if none of this ever happened. I have to admit, Arican control over the dia is terrifying. Not even Europe dares to publish this information. I tried contacting an old friend in the dia, and after seeing them, he deleted them imdiately. He doesn't want to end up like Feier — dying in a car crash."
Song Heping fell silent.
He had indeed underestimated the Arican influence.
"What about over on the Peninsula? Are they afraid to release it?"
"The Peninsula? Do you think they dare to publish anything?"
Henry sneered.
"Look where their headquarters is. They may appear independent, but they're still influenced by Aricans. They only appear sowhat independent to facilitate interviews with sensitive figures. They can interview Laden and broadcast the segnts, but can you see them broadcasting our sensitive materials? Not now, not ever."
"Sigh..."
Song Heping sighed.
After a mont, Henry cautiously suggested, "Boss, I think you should go to Russia. There's protection there, and you might be able to live with a new identity. Right now, even Venezuela isn't safe for you."
This remark was not an exaggeration.
In Venezuela, the Ramas family couldn't even protect him.
So things stem from international public pressure.
No one dares to shelter soone on a blacklist.
The situation seed at a dead end.
Like walking into darkness, unable to see the light of an exit.
"By the way, any news on Kelly?"
Unable to figure it out, he decided to not dwell on it.
Song Heping shifted the conversation back to Kelly.
"I've been inquiring through so connections, and nothing has surfaced. But one thing is for sure: she hasn't returned to Langley."
"It seems that woman is either dead or gravely injured." Song Heping related to another matter: "You need to be careful in Russia. If sothing happens to Kelly, Langley will stop at nothing to kill us."
"I'm not too worried about myself..." Henry said. "The cook's influence is growing, even in Russian politics. I'm more concerned about you; there's bad news..."
"What news?"
"Mossad is involved now too. They've lost over twenty agents. Now it's not just a grudge between us and the CIA; Mossad has listed us under the Black Pursuit Order. You know..."
Henry's mood visibly worsened.
"Back during Black September, they issued such a pursuit order. They won't spare anyone listed in the Black Pursuit Order, no matter where they are..."
The pressure seed to increase significantly.
The road ahead was even darker.
Song Heping felt the pressure.
It seed like he was truly cornered.
"Alright, I understand... Stay safe in Russia and wait for my instructions."
He hung up the phone.
Song Heping sat on a rock near the tunnel entrance with the satellite phone in hand for a long while.
Both the CIA and Mossad are top-tier intelligence agencies.
He had offended them both at once.
It seed no one had survived such a situation before.
But certainly, Song Heping wasn't going to surrender easily.
If he's going to die anyway.
Might as well fight back.
The phone vibrated.
He picked it up to see it was Avanti.
"Brother Avanti, I've just received a lot of bad news. I hope you bring so good news from your side."
Song Heping chuckled bitterly.
Avanti said, "I'm sorry, my brother, things are grave. Your current situation is dire."
"How bad is it?" Song Heping asked.
Avanti hesitated before truthfully replying, "Based on my intel, you've been placed under the 'Black Pursuit Order.' Even I haven't received such treatnt yet. That night, you single-handedly took down over twenty Mossad agents. This has shaken the intelligence community. This issue is not just about lives but also reputation. If one person can take down so many of them, how do you think the outside world views it? How do their superiors view it?"
Song Heping laughed, "Of course, they'd be enraged."
"Lebanon is completely locked down. I originally planned to get you out via sea, but that looks impossible now. Daishe Bird's ships are intercepting everything departing from Lebanon in the diterranean. They even brought their ships near the ports, carrying out direct inspections. The Lebanese governnt has protested, but I predict Daishe Bird doesn't care. So, leaving now is very difficult..."
"You an, I have to stay here? Hide in the tunnels?" Song Heping said, "Hiding isn't my style, and I can't stay underground forever."
Avanti said, "Let think of a way. I'll find a way to bring you back to Persia. It's the safest place for you."
Song Heping suddenly understood.
Avanti had emphasized for a long ti; he really wanted him to stay in Persia.
But besides Avanti, he seed to have no better help in Z-East.
The Iraqi military had leverage in his hands, but what could he ask them to do? Publicly send the army to extract him?
That's absurd.
Then there was Simon.
This guy was a needle inside the CIA, used for gathering intel.
But in this situation, he could at most inquire about Kelly, maybe provide so other info. Any deeper, he wouldn't be able to handle it.
Daishe Bird probably wanted to end him decisively.
Speaking of which, Mossad was indeed tough to deal with...
Suddenly, he thought of soone.
Chris Chen.
That infamous intelligence broker.
Whether it would help, Song Heping didn't know.
But in desperate tis, any hope was better than none.
He logged into his secret email, found Chen's contact, and dialed the number Chen had given him but never used.
Song Heping wasn't even sure if it would help or connect.
But the phone rang a few tis, and soone answered!
"Song Heping, you finally ca to ?"
Chen's tone had a predictive glee.
"I thought you were stupid enough not to seek out even now."
"You anticipated my call?"
Song Heping was a bit surprised.
This broker was truly unique.
"Of course. Do you know how big of a stir you caused?"
"How big?"
"Everyone in intelligence knows. Even your old unit back ho knows... A lunatic in the Beirut port area killed over twenty Mossad operatives and got away. Hahaha! You know how humiliating that is for Daishe Bird? They've declared they won't rest until you're dead, issuing a global Black Pursuit Order."
"I know that." Song Heping chuckled bitterly, "I already had problems with the CIA, and now Mossad is after too. I'm really famous now. One more issue doesn't bother ; one more debt doesn't worry —it's all the sa in the end."
"I see you're not planning on dying and have a strong will to live. If you wanted to die, you wouldn't have called ." Chen said, "Where are you? What do you need help with..."
"Hold on."
Song Heping interrupted Chen.
"You said my old unit knows?"
"Yes, 203 knows." Chen's tone turned serious and earnest, "Captain Lei knows too."
"You..."
Countless thoughts sparked in his mind, connecting previous suspicions.
"Chen, are you in contact with Captain Lei? Who are you?"
He beca serious, impatiently questioning Chen.
