Chapter 1420: Chapter 1401: Divine Will in the Darkness

Wanting sothing but unable to get it makes you want it even more. Finding that gun has beco Morgan’s greatest wish in life, and if he ultimately fails to find it, that gun will be his greatest regret.

Gao Yang really wants to help Morgan find it, so he’s beco superstitious, thinking that since Morgan doesn’t have the fate to find a good gun, it’d be best if he didn’t get involved.

After Gao Yang hung up the phone, Frey said softly, “Morgan? Is it about that gun again?”

Gao Yang nodded and said, “Yes, it’s still about that gun.”

Frey waved his hand, shaking his head, “No need to say it, it’s definitely bad news. Morgan’s luck in this area has never been good. It’s impossible for him to find that gun on his own, so if there are any clues in the future, you’d better go look for it yourself and not let him ss it up.”

Gao Yang was taken aback, then said, “It seems so. The results of Morgan personally looking for a gun are definitely bad.”

Frey laughed, “Speaking of which, whenever Morgan personally tries to find a gun, the result is inevitably bad news, including this ti, without exception. He may have a fortune, but the collections in his ho are nothing special. It wasn’t until he t you that he got sothing worthy of his wealth, and increasingly so.”

Gao Yang nodded repeatedly, and then he said with great emotion, “It’s really strange. I’m always especially lucky in this area.”

Frey shrugged, “What’s so strange about that? Can’t you see the simple reason?”

Gao Yang curiously asked, “Why?”

Frey replied solemnly, “Because you’re the Gun God.”

Gao Yang was stunned for a mont and then burst into laughter, “F**k, I thought you had so insightful opinion. In the end, you just tell this? Stop joking. Gun God, haha, Gun God.”

Frey was quite dissatisfied and said, “Don’t laugh. I’m being serious. Haven’t you noticed that you’re like a magnet, attracting all those good and famous guns to yourself? Why? Because you’re the Gun God! Guns do have life. If they were choosing an owner, wouldn’t they choose you, the Gun God?

Moreover, from another perspective, if God gives you a particularly outstanding talent, then he must also give you the corresponding tools. Your talent is shooting. Without a gun, what do you use to shoot? If God gives you the talent for shooting and lets you achieve corresponding accomplishnts, you’re now the Gun God. So, of course, God will give you a lot of good guns, those that are alive and have souls, true masterpieces, guns worthy of your title as Gun God.”

Gao Yang found Frey’s words surprisingly reasonable, but out of pride, he still frowned and said, “Your explanation is heavily steeped in fatalism. Many people have shooting talent, but good shooters are still rare. Like your ability to play baseball, are all your achievents God-given?”

Frey nodded and said, “Yes, exactly.”

Gao Yang covered his face with his hand. As an atheist, he couldn’t discuss this topic with Frey, but he quickly found a rebuttal.

“Buddy, our rcenary Group is called Satan. My gun is called the Blade of Satan. We’re rcenaries. Which of the things we do would make God happy? You’re joking when you say I’ve been favored by God, aren’t you?”

Frey was stunned, then frowned, looking troubled, “Okay, you make sense. Maybe you’re an envoy of the Devil? Is all this given by Satan and not God?”

Gao Yang was about to lose it and grumbled, “Frey! If Satan wants to choose a spokesperson, he’d at least choose soone who believes in him, right? And ? Our rcenary group’s na is Satan, but that was just a random choice to seem like elite rcenaries, really just a na we picked randomly, and you know that, right?”

Frey thought for a long ti, then nodded, “That’s true. At least I’m relatively devout, always have been. Okay, maybe I’m not devout enough, but I sure haven’t turned to Satan’s side. Wait, you’re leading off topic. If you completely deny fatalism, how do you explain what happens to you? Coincidence or pure luck?”

Gao Yang spread his hands, “With all I’ve been through, isn’t it normal to get those guns?”

Frey looked distressed and said, “F**k, what you say sounds logical. Getting each of those guns is indeed quite normal, although your luck is admittedly exceptionally good. But if I were in your shoes, I’d also be able to get those guns. But, this doesn’t make sense; you’re obviously a lucky person under divine favor.”

Number Thirteen sighed deeply, saying in a serious tone, “Frey, you idiot! You’ve been led astray by him.”

Frey raised his eyebrows, loudly saying, “What do you an?”

Number Thirteen grinned, “You only need to ask him one question. Do guns have souls?”

Frey slapped his leg, delightedly saying, “Yeah! Boss, do you think guns have souls? Be honest.”

Gao Yang was silent for a mont and then finally said earnestly and seriously, “Yes, I believe guns are alive and have souls.”

To Gao Yang, guns have souls. So guns, once in hand, feel integrated with him, shooting comfortably no matter how. But even if you switch to the sa model gun with everything the sa, you just can’t replicate that feeling.

Guns also have tempers. The sa model might shoot a little high, while another shoots low. This is a characteristic that can’t be changed once manufactured. To use a gun well, you have to understand its temper.

Maybe people choose guns, or maybe guns choose people. Gao Yang picks up a gun and, as long as he understands its characteristics, can shoot accurately, but can’t achieve divine precision—the kind where man and gun unite, hitting impossibly yet accurately in all scenarios.

Gao Yang and his Blade of Satan can find that unity between man and gun, but when using Cui Bo’s gun, he just can’t find that feeling, even if Cui Bo has told him all of its characteristics. Gao Yang still feels awkward using it, preferring to replace it with a completely unfamiliar, unused new gun of the sa model.

This characteristic of guns is sothing many people can feel. Rationally speaking, it can be called ergonomic efficiency, a feeling of a bond, or dependence developed from long use due to over-familiarity. But Gao Yang prefers to see it as a manifestation that guns have souls.

Gao Yang has always treated his guns as living partners, so he can’t say that a gun is rely a weapon or a tool.

With one question stopping Gao Yang, Number Thirteen smiled and said, “Alright, this topic can end now.”

Gao Yang nodded, saying seriously, “Alright, if I have to explain the events happening to with fatalism, I think it’s all about destiny. This is the only, formal, and official conclusion.” (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to vote for recomndations or monthly tickets at Qidian (qidian).
