Chapter 1528: With You All the Way, Thank You for Your Companionship
Looking back, “War of rcenaries” has been written for over two years, with more than 4.3 million words. I can’t help but feel emotional and just want to say it’s not easy.
Everyone knows that this book wears the skin of urban fiction, but has the bones of military fiction. To be honest, I’m very satisfied with the current achievents of this military novel, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of brothers and sisters like you.
It’s only because of everyone’s support that this book has achieved what it has. I can’t list all your nas, but please allow to sincerely say thank you.
Having written this book for so long, the only thing I can be proud of is that, although the updates aren’t incredibly fast, they are at least stable. For more than two years, there’s never been a break in updates, even without any manuscript backlog. It sounds easy to say, but it’s not so easy to do. For soone as lazy as , looking back at all the struggles over these years, this persistence for over two years is enough to make proud.
Over more than two years, as ordinary people, how can one not fall ill? The most morable for was this spring. I had a cold and fever and was on IV fluids for a few days, during which I hiccupped endlessly. To stop the hiccups, I saw a doctor and tried injections and stomach dicine, but nothing stopped them.
If you haven’t experienced continuous hiccups, you don’t know what it’s like. When I couldn’t bear it, I found that as long as I vomit, I could get 15 to 30 minutes without hiccups. So, I used my hand to make myself vomit. When I had nothing left to vomit, I drank water to fill my stomach and then triggered vomiting again. Like that, I kept typing while tears stread down my face, ensuring I wrote 6,000 words a day without fail. My only thought was knowing I’m lazy and I must not stop. Once I stop, it becos a habit; the first ti leads to a second ti, and I must not open this gate—I have to persist.
It didn’t seem like a big deal at the ti, but thinking back on those hardships makes want to cry, can you believe it?
Believe it or not, the hardships of being a writer are known only to writers themselves. After two years of writing, I’ve developed cervical spine issues, gained weight rapidly, and my physical condition isn’t what it used to be; these are the costs, and common ailnts for professional writers.
Writing this single chapter is actually because yet another year has passed, and I should write sothing to thank everyone for their support. But accidentally, it turned into a complaint.
Moving forward, I still need your support. Things like rewards are extra and given by readers for their own happiness. I do not seek them, nor can I. But I humbly request those reading pirated versions to subscribe if possible. I know my updates aren’t strong, and I dare not demand anything extra. But subscriptions are what I rightfully deserve.

Regarding updates, I must say that this is a military novel, which is very taxing to write. If I were to write a leveling-up style novel, I could certainly write faster than now. Everyone needs to understand that when you write with your heart, it can’t be fast. At least, with my abilities, I can’t maintain quality and quantity while speeding up.
