"I can do anything!"

Gary had already asked once, and Gao Yang asked again. It wasn’t because he had issues or was idle; he just needed Jas to confirm it once more.

Jas answered firmly. He could do anything, aning as long as he gets paid, he’d have to say goodbye to his past life.

Money isn’t easy to earn. Three hundred thousand British pounds is a lot of money, and getting it all at once isn’t possible through lawful ans, so one can only resort to crooked paths.

Maybe thinking his answer wasn’t clear enough, Jas tightened his grip on the top hat in his right hand and shouted, "I’m willing to do anything, anything! You pay, I’ll do it!"

Gary knew that Gao Yang and his group were rcenaries. He didn’t have a job for Jas, so he remained silent. The rest was between Gao Yang and Jas, whether Jas’s demands were reasonable, or whether Gao Yang’s demands were reasonable, it had nothing to do with him.

Gao Yang was contemplating whether to recruit Jas. After a mont of thought, he looked up and said to Jas solemnly, "It seems you urgently need this money, and three hundred thousand pounds isn’t a small amount. What do you need it for?"

Jas frowned and said, "Do I have to answer?"

Gary shrugged, nodded to Jas, and said, "I’m afraid so, you must answer. I’ll explain on his behalf. Your intended use for this money will determine whether this gentleman gives you a job. For example, if you’re using the money for drug trafficking, he certainly won’t take you on."

Gary’s answer was quite clear. Gao Yang nodded, just looking at Jas.

Jas took a deep breath and said solemnly, "I’m taking the money to save my daughter. She’s nine years old. She got sick three months ago, nephritis; the hospital misdiagnosed it. We later went to a private hospital where they found out it’s congenital renal dysfunction. The nephritis made her condition very dangerous. Now she’s already at the severe stage of uremia."

Almost crushing the top hat, Jas said solemnly, "Now she undergoes dialysis once a week. She’s only nine; she can’t continue like this. I want her to survive; I want to get her a kidney transplant, but neither my kidney nor her mother’s can be transplanted to her. We’ve found soone willing to provide a kidney for my daughter, but they demand five hundred thousand pounds."

After speaking, Jas continued solemnly, "I have a pension, a very generous pension, but my wife and I don’t have much savings. Insurance doesn’t cover the cost of organ transplants, especially since I need to pay for a healthy kidney. We sold a house in Plymouth and applied for a loan of sixty thousand pounds. Together with borrowed money, we have forty-three thousand pounds. We’re still short of three hundred thousand pounds; that’s it."

Trying to save his daughter is a very normal reason. Gao Yang decided he would take Jas.

Just then, Yake suddenly said, "Are you from SBS?"

Jas nodded, "Yes!"

Yake, with a puzzled look, said, "If you’ve already found a donor for your daughter’s kidney, knowing that this was the hardest part, but now you’ve found one, then why not do it yourself instead of paying for it?"

Jas was first shocked, then angrily said, "You an for to kill soone for their organ?"

Yake shrugged, "Yes, that’s exactly what I an."

Jas stood up, angrily said, "I’m a soldier! Not a robber! Certainly not a heartless Devil who would rob a living person’s organ!"

Yake, with a calm look, said, "You love your daughter very much, right? I think if I encountered such a situation, I’d do it."

Jas angrily said, "That’s my daughter; she’s an Angel. I wouldn’t put a kidney, taken by killing soone else, inside her. That’s desecration! It’s a cri! It’s going to Hell!"

Yake, still calm, said, "So you decided to sell yourself to save your daughter’s life, is that right?"

Jas was about to leave in anger, but upon hearing Yake’s words, he paused, dwelled on his words, and sat back down, face full of bitterness.

Yake smiled and said to Jas, "You’re a soldier, you have a sense of justice, but we don’t need people with a sense of justice. If I give you a job that requires being a robber, being a Devil heading for Hell, what would you do? You said you can do anything, can you really? Are you ready to abandon your conscience?"

Jas was silent for a long ti, but eventually nodded slowly. He looked up at Yake, his face calm, and said: "I can go to hell, but my daughter must be clean, she must have no sin on her. Perhaps the money I use to treat her illness is not clean, but at least her kidneys, her kidneys must be clean! It doesn’t matter if I go to hell; I want her to be able to enter heaven cleanly in the future! Let bear the sin; I’m prepared to accept all the sin. Really, I’m ready, I can do anything!"

Yake nodded and said to Gao Yang: "I’ve asked everything I need to, no problems."

Gao Yang smiled and said to Jas: "You want thirty thousand pounds, so, what are you prepared to give? You say you can do anything, so, for how long?"

Jas hesitated for a mont, then hesitated and said: "A year?"

Gao Yang smiled, but Gary shook his head and sighed, "Buddy, I’m sorry, your capability might be worth that much, and you might earn thirty thousand pounds a year, but to give it all upfront, it’s really unfortunate, it’s not that cheap."

Jas nodded, breathed out, and said in a deep voice: "Five years, is that enough this ti?"

Gary shrugged and said: "Five years, I think that’s a fair term, thirty thousand pounds for five years of freedom, buddy, you can’t be too greedy."

Gao Yang smiled, shook his head, but he wasn’t in the habit of getting under people’s skin, so after shaking his head, Gao Yang imdiately said: "Don’t take out loans, and don’t borrow money, go and buy the house back, because I’ll give you one million pounds, for your kidneys and surgery costs."

Jas was stunned for a mont, then his face filled with enthusiasm, he gritted his teeth and said: "What do you want? No! Whatever you want, I’ll give it to you."

But at this ti, Gary, looking surprised, said: "Wait, hold on, guys, I want to remind you all, I charge a commission based on a percentage, so even though I’d earn more from a million-pound deal, I think, since I didn’t inform you in advance of my charging standard, maybe you should do the deal at the price of thirty thousand pounds."

After he finished speaking, Gary looked a bit embarrassed and said: "I charge a ten percent introduction fee, it’s a high rate. It was my oversight not to ntion it earlier, I didn’t think you guys could really reach a deal, sorry, Jas, this money has to co from you, so, I think it’s best for you to make the paynt based on a thirty thousand-pound deal, that way you only need to give three thousand pounds, otherwise, you would have to pay ten thousand pounds."

Jas was slightly dazed for a mont, then touched his chin with his left hand, and said with a look of concern: "Ten percent, that rate is really high."

Gary gave a wry smile and said: "Yes, it’s high, but I charge everyone the sa, and you can trust , the people I introduce definitely et the requirents, and the jobs I introduce definitely et the requirents as well, so my demands are high but never excessive."

Gao Yang couldn’t help but say: "But you didn’t do anything!"

Gary shrugged and said: "Without , would you have t Mr. Marklayne? Similarly, Mr. Marklayne, without , you wouldn’t et these potential employers, so shouldn’t I get this money? And it’s Mr. Marklayne who’s looking for a job here, so the money should co from him, that’s reasonable, I never break the rules."

Without rules, nothing can be accomplished; Gary followed the rules, and the money should be paid.

Gao Yang nodded and said: "That makes sense, Mr. Thompson, I’m also soone who follows the rules, this money should indeed be paid, but you didn’t ntion it in advance, that’s your oversight, you need to make so concessions."

Gary nodded and smiled: "That’s right, this is indeed my mistake, I’m willing to only charge eight percent, that’s the lowest limit, unless you intend to leave here and make this agreent outside my premises."

Gao Yang could easily bypass Gary, stand up, go out, and pay Jas outside to make him work for him from then on without costing a penny, but Gao Yang wouldn’t do that because it would break the rules, and the rules of the Underworld cannot be broken, at least not easily. Otherwise, Gary couldn’t kill him, but no interdiary would have any dealings with him again.

Gao Yang smiled and said: "I said, I’m soone who follows the rules."

Jas looked at Gao Yang and then said to Gary in a deep voice: "If we reach an agreent, I will pay the money."

Gao Yang waved his hand and said to Gary: "I’ll cover the introduction fee, based on thirty thousand, I’ll pay two thousand four hundred pounds, as for what agreent Mr. Marklayne and I specifically reach, that’s between us, because I don’t plan to pay him here, do you agree?"

Gary smiled and said: "I agree to calculate it based on thirty thousand, but I don’t agree to let you give the money, this money should let Mr. Marklayne pay, you can pay it for him if you want, give him the money, let him give it to , but I won’t accept money directly from you because it’s him who ca to for work, not you coming for people."

Gao Yang laughed, he liked Gary’s stubbornness, people in the Underworld should be like this, even if it’s obviously unnecessary, but rules are rules, and they’re established through such stubborn and cumberso ways, dealing with soone like Gary makes you feel at ease.

Gao Yang looked at Jas and smiled: "I’ll give you two thousand four hundred pounds here first, you give it to Mr. Thompson, then, take to see your daughter, if you haven’t lied, if we can reach an agreent, I’ll pay you in full, if we can’t reach an agreent, you co back and keep looking for work, and this money will be a free gift to Mr. Thompson, agreed?"
