Forced by circumstances, Gao Yang had to temporarily halt the search for guns and focus all his efforts on monitoring Polovich.

Gao Yang wanted to cooperate with Polovich, but he didn’t fully trust him. So, while cooperating with Polovich, he had to dedicate a significant portion of his energy to guarding against him, to prevent falling into a trap set by Polovich without realizing it.

However, Gao Yang couldn’t avoid cooperation with Polovich because he desperately needed soone to draw attention out in the open.

Cooperation required vigilance and a certain distance, like dancing with shackles.

The partnership was confird, but Gao Yang needed to improve the cooperation thods. Yet, he couldn’t figure out a suitable approach. When faced with this situation, Gao Yang had only one solution: gather the team and brainstorm together.

Gao Yang knocked on the table and said in a deep voice, "Polovich offered five million dollars. No choice, he’s broke and can’t provide more. This ti, we’re not getting paid, but he’s brought out all his savings, knowing you’re all short on pocket money. This money can be shared among you as pocket money."

Albert exclaid excitedly, "Wow! Sharing five million as pocket money, that sounds amazing!"

Jansen sat there motionless because by rights he shouldn’t get any share of this money. He had already overdrawn his future earnings for the next five years to pay for his daughter’s treatnt. Gao Yang was generous enough to offer one million pounds for a year of his ti, and paying one million pounds for five years was reasonable.

Sitting still, with no expression on his face, Jansen was holding a knife. His left hand spread open on the table, while with his right hand, he rapidly stabbed between his fingers. The knife’s tip was withdrawn before it touched the table, dazzling the eyes, yet making no sound.

Gao Yang sighed and said to Jansen, "Buddy, I know you’re skilled with knives, but can you stop ssing around now? It’s making dizzy, and I don’t even know what to say."

"Sorry."

After Jansen apologized, he sheathed the knife back under his clothes, remaining still.

Gao Yang opened his mouth but couldn’t rember what he was about to say. So, he turned his head and looked at Jansen, saying, "You seem different today, what’s up?"

Jansen swallowed and said softly, "My daughter is having surgery today."

Gao Yang suddenly understood, and with a concerned expression, asked, "Is it over? Are there any results?"

Jansen shook his head and said softly, "When I called in the morning, my wife said everything was arranged, and the surgery is this afternoon. We don’t know yet."

Gao Yang looked at his watch and loudly said, "It’s already four in the afternoon, you should check up on her."

Jansen managed a smile and said softly, "This is a strategy eting."

Gao Yang waved his hand loudly, "Go, take a phone and find sowhere quiet to check on her, call your wife and get updates, and then wait for the news. Your daughter will be fine, just bring us the good news soon."

Jansen hesitated and said, "But this is a strategy eting, as a part of Satan’s group, how can I leave for personal matters..."

Glolov said with concern, "Go ahead. You’re new, and there’s a lot you don’t know. Even if you stay, it won’t benefit much. Make the call and find a quiet place to wait for news. The surgery will be successful, and your daughter will recover well. Go on."

Andy He laughed and said, "The hardest part of kidney transplant surgery is finding the right donor and managing post-surgery rejection. The surgery itself isn’t particularly hard, so don’t worry—it’ll be fine. Just relax and wait for the news. Share the good news with us when it cos."

Jansen stood up gratefully and said softly, "Then I’ll go wait for the news. Thank you."

Gao Yang waved his hand loudly, "Is your money all used up? This ti, take a bigger share—you can take five hundred thousand dollars for your family’s needs."

Jansen was stunned for a mont, then asked in surprise, "Why do I still get money? I haven’t done anything."

Gao Yang casually replied, "Helping out in ergencies is different from just giving away money. You have an urgent matter right now, so giving you more money is no big deal. Once your crisis is settled, if you want more money, I won’t give it to you. Now go make your call. The money will be transferred to your wife’s account. Just inform her. If five hundred thousand isn’t enough, let know. Go ahead."

Jansen looked at Gao Yang, nodded, and left the eting room without another word.

Everyone was accustod to Gao Yang’s actions, so no one complained about Jansen receiving five hundred thousand dollars right after joining. But everyone knew there was now soone entirely loyal to Satan.

Big favors need no thanks; Jansen’s silence showed he was eager to take a bullet for Gao Yang to express his gratitude. Jansen’s mindset was easy to grasp; when words couldn’t convey his emotions, only risking his life would suffice.

After sending Jansen out of the eting room, Gao Yang frowned and said, "What should we do about Polovich? Being with him feels dangerous, but being apart seems pointless."

Glolov said in surprise, "It seems simple to . If you don’t trust Polovich but want him alive, just bring him to our place for protection. If soone wants to target him, we can defend him."

Gao Yang paused at the suggestion, then suddenly realized and said, "Yes, why do I keep thinking about going to Polovich’s place? We’re the ones leading here. Having him co to us is better. Invite him alone, maybe with a couple of bodyguards, and worry less about any traps."

As he spoke, Gao Yang laughed, feeling a bit embarrassed, "I got myself tangled up. When Polovich is under our protection, it ans he’s under our control. Use him as bait to attract fire, and when we want him to hide, just take him away. It’s simple."

Number Thirteen said gravely, "Let him co here? It’s safer here."

Gao Yang smiled and said, "Don’t let him co directly. Let him loop around a few tis, and then bring him in quietly. Number Thirteen, draft a specific action plan."

After finishing, Gao Yang thoughtfully stroked his chin and said, "We need a code na for the upcoming operation. I think let’s call it Operation Yellow Bird."

Jansen curiously asked, "What is Yellow Bird? What does Yellow Bird an?"

Gao Yang didn’t know the scientific na for Yellow Bird, so when he spoke, he used the term "yellow bird." Upon hearing Jansen’s question, Gao Yang snapped a finger, confidently saying, "It ans the ultimate winner." (To be continued.
