Listening to the sound of the helicopter getting closer, Gao Yang helplessly dragged over an anti-aircraft missile.
Standing up to launch an anti-aircraft missile is dangerous amid a barrage of gunfire, but without standing up, it’s impossible to launch the missile, so Gao Yang sincerely hoped that it wasn’t the enemy coming.
"Identify yourself, respond if you receive."
The frequency used by Satan; anyone who could receive and respond was an ally, and those who couldn’t were enemies.
While calling out, Gao Yang lay on the rooftop searching for the helicopter’s position, and soon he spotted the helicopters in the air—two of them.
Gao Yang’s mouth tasted bitter; if two helicopters ca and did a fire coverage if they were ard helicopters, or landed and deployed dozens of n if they were transport helicopters, it would be the end.
"Identify yourself, respond if you receive."
Still no response; Gao Yang decided to fire. Two anti-aircraft missiles, two helicopters; helicopters are relatively easy to hit—taking down both would be expected, but missing both is also normal, as helicopters have counterasures like flares and wouldn’t sit idly by waiting to be shot.
But then, a loudspeaker on the helicopter started broadcasting, and the imnse voice echoed in the air, even overpowering the noise of the rotors.
"This is a rescue helicopter codenad Hagel, ordered to drop ergency supplies. Ground personnel, please guide the location, over."
Listening to the voice from above, Gao Yang could hardly believe his ears that the lifesaving supplies arrived so quickly, delivered by soone codenad Hagel.
Hagel was just a codena. For these two helicopters to use the codena Hagel, they must have been sent by Hagel and were public aircraft. Otherwise, Hagel wouldn’t have even given them the frequency Satan used, just an address to shout out with the loudspeakers to deliver items.
Gao Yang felt around his body, then pulled out a shock grenade and forcefully threw it to the flat ground in front of him. After a strong flash in the courtyard, fearing the helicopters wouldn’t see it, he pulled out his Tactical Flashlight, turned it on, and threw it out.
At that mont, Gao Yang heard his phone ringing. He set down the anti-aircraft missile, snatched up his rifle with one hand, and picked up the phone with the other. Upon answering, he heard Hagel in a low voice: "I called four tis and you didn’t answer, sent you two helicopters—two police, two military, but the military helicopter sent to fetch the doctor was redirected, no doctor could be brought, the police helicopter brought so plasma and ergency personnel over, you just have to take out the people on the helicopter to leave the plane and you can escape!"
Gao Yang realized Hagel was truly desperate. Not only did he move helicopters on his own, but he also sent over police helicopters too, and instructed them to deliberately sacrifice themselves so they could kill the people, hijack the helicopters, and escape—a suicidal plan.
When a bigwig makes up their mind, the strategies they employ are indeed vicious and ruthless.
Gao Yang said with a smile on his face: "General, we can’t leave, my wounded must be treated here, they can’t be moved at all. You’ve sent two helicopters, and I don’t have the manpower to seize them, and even if I did, I can’t fly them, don’t have enough people."
After a mont of silence, Hagel spoke with a very helpless and puzzled tone: "What’s the situation there?"
Gao Yang sighed: "We’re directly engaged with the Aricans, and I only have, um, three people who can still fight."
Hagel sighed as well, frustrated: "I bet heavily on you, only to find out now you’re a sinking ship."
If Hagel had known earlier that Gao Yang was on the verge of complete annihilation, with only a lone commander left fighting to the death, he probably wouldn’t have worked so hard, instead withdrawing sooner to ensure his own safe escape would be the priority.
Gao Yang fired a shot, then shouted loudly: "Once you’re on my sinking ship, it’s too late to disembark, but General, you can only rely on this ship of mine now."
Hagel sighed deeply and loudly said: "The police don’t know what’s going on, no one will inform them about this, but they’ll definitely find out."
The fight was intense, and it didn’t seem like a drill. Possibly noticing the combat not far away, especially after spotting the bodies on the ground, the two helicopters suddenly turned on a spotlight, scanning the ground, then one helicopter sought a place free of bodies and began to land.
Gao Yang watched a helicopter land on the ground, wondering how Hagel had persuaded them. Despite the corpses everywhere, the helicopter personnel were still willing to co down.
A hatch opened, and two people walked out. Then a person pulled out a wheeled cart from the hatch, and seeing the boxes on the cart, Gao Yang knew they contained plasma.
At that mont, the other helicopter’s loudspeaker, usually used for shouting orders at criminals, turned down its volu, and soone said a few words in Ukrainian, then switched to Russian, saying: "What’s happening here? This isn’t a drill, co back quickly."
The person dragging the plasma froze, and the helicopter still in the air quickly increased its altitude. Gao Yang fired a shot, and the bullet landed at the feet of the person dragging the plasma.
If that person tried to bring the plasma back to the helicopter, Gao Yang would kill him. If he abandoned the plasma and ran, Gao Yang would let him go.
After a shout, the person dragging the plasma shot back into the helicopter, while one who had crouched to inspect a corpse turned and ran, pulling another person with him. As the helicopter started to take off, the two dove into it, and the helicopter imdiately lifted off, ready to escape.
Gao Yang did not shoot at the helicopter, nor any of the people. He felt it unnecessary; those people ca to save lives, and without a chance to capture the helicopter intact, why harm the ergency personnel?
At any ti, Gao Yang deeply respected those who risked their lives to rescue others, so these two helicopters weren’t enemies.
The helicopters flew away, and Gao Yang cheerfully shouted into the radio: "Fat Cat! Co out and get the plasma!"
Albert ca out quickly. When he found the box still on the cart according to Gao Yang’s direction, he joyfully shouted, gave a thumbs up towards Gao Yang, and then rushed the cart into the house, not even having ti to say more.
The phone was still connected, and Gao Yang joyfully said: "Got the lifesaving supplies, General, thank you. Don’t let my sinking ship go down, bring out everything you can, you won’t have a chance after tonight. Plus, I promise, my ship won’t sink, because luck and God are on my side!" (To be continued.
