Cui Bo returned to the basent, then lay on the mat to sleep. Whether he fell asleep or not, no one knew. Everyone has monts of pain and weakness. During such tis, what Cui Bo needed was not comfort. Since he wanted to be alone quietly, naturally, no one would disturb him.

Gao Yang and the others did not return. Apart from constantly helping to move corpses, there wasn’t much else to do. It wasn’t until noon, when soone prepared food and called them to eat, that their work as corpse movers temporarily ended.

In fact, by the end, there weren’t many corpses left. It’s not possible for all soldiers fighting to die at once. The entire Khartsyzk’s troops were only about one thousand strong. Gao Yang and his team moved about seventy corpses in one morning. Calculating it, this casualty rate was already very high. However, the work of searching for the injured and fallen on the frontline was basically completed. Once the battle entered a stalemate, even if there were more corpses, they would only be sent in small numbers.

Gao Yang and the others were covered in blood. They didn’t plan to keep those clothes, and obviously, they couldn’t eat covered in blood. They went back, took a shower, changed clothes, and then went to eat.

The al had to be eaten in turns. The injured among Satan couldn’t move freely. In such tense battle conditions, soone must stay ready to respond to any ergencies.

While eating, the long-awaited call for Gao Yang ca.

Nate’s voice sounded a bit tired, but in his usual unhurried pace, he said: "Ram, you must make a choice. Either leave Khartsyzk today, break through the governnt forces’ lines to sowhere else, or retreat with my people into Donetsk."

"What’s the current situation?"

"We have taken the 72nd Brigade very seriously, but their strength is beyond our expectations. The real main offensive is on Donetsk, and the 72nd Brigade is in charge of the main assault. The 72nd Brigade has now cut off all routes to the outside world from Donetsk. The surrounding towns and rural areas have all fallen into the hands of the governntal forces. We can only rely on Donetsk to continue opposing the governnt forces."

"Urban warfare?"

"Yes, urban warfare is the last but unavoidable choice. Khartsyzk can’t be given up yet. While our forces are insufficient, concentrating most of our forces in Donetsk ans the governnt forces will be short-handed. But we need to gather our forces and counterattack to take back the roads seized in Khartsyzk. Once we clear this node, our situation will greatly improve. If the counterattack fails, then everyone will have to withdraw into Donetsk. Therefore, the fighting in Khartsyzk will be fiercer. Staying isn’t a good choice."

Gao Yang exhaled and said softly, "We won’t enter Donetsk. Do you know which route would be suitable for our retreat?"

"Currently, the governnt forces have completed the encirclent of Donetsk, but Shakhtarsk to the east is still safe. The 72nd Brigade has no extra power to continue advancing eastward. According to our assessnt, encircling Donetsk and its surrounding regions is the 72nd Brigade’s limit, and there are indeed no traces of enemies in Shakhtarsk. All our forces east of Khartsyzk are amassing. Until this assembly is complete and the counterattack begins, the road from Khartsyzk to the east is relatively safe."

Gao Yang didn’t necessarily need to go to militia-controlled territories. In fact, Satan and his group could very well leave through governnt-controlled areas, possibly even more smoothly and safely. So after a brief mont of contemplation, Gao Yang softly said, "Understood. I’ll choose a road to leave. Do you have a set ti for the counterattack? Or have you already made a retreat titable?"

"Not yet. The counterattack and retreat aren’t so simple. My people need to be well-organized first to avoid turning the counterattack into a disaster. The major counterattack will be tomorrow. This is a joint operation of multiple militia groups. You’re the first, outside our combined command, to receive this news. Don’t leak it."

"Understood. You’d better keep the communication channels smooth. I might give you so intelligence from within the governnt forces."

"Okay, if you have any intelligence, please inform imdiately. If you can’t reach , call my intelligence officer. That’s it then."

Gao Yang hesitated for a while but finally said, "Nate, be careful. The 72nd Brigade is very unusual. Take care."

"You too, goodbye."

Gao Yang hung up the phone. Glolov quietly asked, "How is it?"

"Eat, and once we’ve finished, let others eat, then we leave."

After drinking the soup in one gulp, Gao Yang wiped his mouth, picked up the phone, and said calmly, "Now I have to push those in Kiev. They must open a safe passage for us."

Gao Yang took the phone aside. Once connected, he smiled calmly: "Mr. Polonishenko, I wish to leave Khartsyzk now. Have you contacted the frontline commander?"

"Please wait a little longer. It won’t be long. The frontline fight is gradually calming down, and we’ll have news soon. When leaving, please don’t carry any weapons to avoid misunderstandings. I an, your people can take weapons but not carry them on their bodies. Is that okay?"

"No problem, thank you."

Gao Yang hung up the phone, and soon received another call, this ti from Grand Ivan.

"I heard from Uriyangko that you’re trapped by the firefight in Donetsk. Do you need to help you leave?"

Gao Yang laughed, "I can handle this little matter myself. However, if you have any easier channels, I certainly wouldn’t mind using them."

Grand Ivan laughed heartily, "Then be careful of stray bullets. I don’t know the 72nd Brigade’s commander, and the 72nd Brigade has deep ties with Arica now. Use your contacts in Kiev to leave. I won’t ddle further. Also, I’ve just received news from Justin, but the current situation doesn’t seem suitable for discussing it, right?"

Gao Yang sighed, "To be honest, I’m only afraid of stray artillery shells here. Otherwise, there’s no real danger. I have nothing to do now. For us, it’s not good when everyone else is fighting while we’re idle. So you might as well tell about Justin. I’ve been waiting for this news."
