Capítulo 2077: Chapter 2054: Anxiety
Although Satan is small, it is complete, unlike ordinary small rcenary groups that are all made up of combat personnel. Satan’s personnel structure can already be divided into combat personnel and technical units.
Number Thirteen, Yake, Rebrov, Jansen, and Albert should be considered technical units. They all have certain combat capabilities, but their specialty is not just picking up a gun to go to war.
Tommy, Andy He, Taylor, and Rafael are regarded as semi-technical units. They usually accompany the combat personnel on the front line to carry out all battles, but their main weapon or main skill is not a rifle. When their special skills are needed, Tommy sets up a mortar, Andy He uses his dical kit, and Taylor requires a plane.
As for the others, they are relatively pure combat personnel. For instance, Eileen can pilot a helicopter, but her primary role is as an assault soldier, while Gao Yang, Li Jinfang, and Glolov are purely combat personnel in the traditional sense.
The last ti they ca to Nice, they had the Black Demon under Pavlovich, but that Black Demon was wiped out in a battle with Butter Knife. Except for Pavlovich and Hamr, who are still recovering from injuries, the rest all died in battle.
Even with the assistance of the Black Demon, they felt that their strength was insufficient to attack. Now, without the Black Demon and with only Satan to complete the task of eliminating Djo, Gao Yang’s only feeling is that they lack manpower, far from enough.
Gao Yang left all combat personnel in the villa. If they were to launch a ground attack, it would be himself, along with Li Jinfang, Eileen, Frey, Peter, Glolov, with Andy He and Cui Bo providing long-range support. Just this few forming an assault group on land to infiltrate Djo’s fortress and deliver a fatal blow to Djo Malthael.
As for Jas, Tommy, Rafael, Rebrov, Jesse Lee, Albert, and Jansen, they would attack from the ship using the rciless Cannon to fire as many homade shells as possible in a short ti. Best case, they could kill Djo; even if they couldn’t, creating chaos to allow the assault group to enter would be considered a success.
Number Thirteen was sent out, using his specialties to seize every opportunity for close surveillance of Djo.
As for Yake and Taylor, Taylor has not fully recovered from his injury and cannot participate in combat, but he can do surveillance work. Yake also stays in the villa to monitor, and during the outbreak of battle, it can be decided based on the situation whether he will accompany the assault group.
Now the Satan personnel are separated, those tasked with the mariti mission have withdrawn from Cap Ferrat and are hiding at a location prepared by Uriyangko, waiting for a possible operation.
It’s said to be a possible operation because Djo still hasn’t shown up.
Since Gao Yang and the others arrived at Cap Ferrat, twelve hours have passed. During this half day, both Satan and Uriyangko have done a lot, but the preparations are not yet complete. This ans that even if Djo suddenly appeared, Satan couldn’t launch an attack.
The rciless Cannon needs to be built on the spot. Such an outdated and crude item is sothing Uriyangko, a major arms dealer, has never had contact with, for if he had to rely on selling this to make money, he’d go bankrupt.
So, Uriyangko took the entire mariti strike group with him. He must ensure that the newly-made rciless Cannon can be used, and Tommy must at least know how far these cannons can fire, and how powerful they are. If they don’t know these things and wait to test-fire on the sea to accurately determine the landing point of the shells, that wouldn’t make any sense.
The entire mariti assault group must beco familiar with the rciless Cannon. In that case, there’s no better choice than getting involved right from the manufacturing stage.
Djo’s villa is under constant surveillance, a task everyone completes in turns.
So-called surveillance is just staring at Djo’s house with a high-powered telescope. Even though there isn’t a single shadow in the house, it looks the sa after hours of watching, completely unchanged, yet there can’t be a mont when surveillance is lax.
Gao Yang and Taylor, along with Yake, each using a telescope mounted on a tripod, had been observing for two hours. The main residential area remained dark, yielding nothing.
Boring, monotonous — that is surveillance work.
Gao Yang left the telescope, rubbing his strained eyes, and said softly, “I’m going to take a break.”
“Understood.”
Taylor’s eyes never left the telescope as he responded indifferently.
Gao Yang rubbed his eyes and left the surveillance room. He needed to sleep for a while, having co directly from Arica to Nice, he hadn’t rested yet. For a marksman and commander, lack of rest leading to fatigue isn’t acceptable.
There are many rooms in the villa, so everyone can get adequate rest. For those who don’t need to conduct surveillance, their only task is to eat well, sleep well, and rest well, waiting for the command to attack potentially at any mont.
Several dim lights were on in the room. As Gao Yang passed by Eileen’s room, he saw the door was open. Eileen seed to be asleep, lying in her combat uniform.
Gao Yang approached Eileen’s door but hesitated and abandoned the idea of entering. Just as he was about to step away, Eileen turned over and looked at him, softly asking, “What’s up?”
Gao Yang stepped in, speaking softly, “Can’t sleep? Give a cigarette.”
Eileen sat up, casually taking a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from beside her pillow. As she held them out to Gao Yang, she quietly asked, “Why do you want to smoke?”
Gao Yang took a cigarette, lit it, took a deep drag, and murmured, “Pressure.”
Eileen took the cigarette Gao Yang handed back, lit one for herself, and grabbed a water bottle from the bedside table, smiling as she said, “Put the butts in here. Why so stressed?”
Gao Yang shrugged, “Does it really need asking? Whoever cos to take down Djo wouldn’t find it easy, right?”
Eileen laughed, “Not at all, I actually feel very relaxed. It’s just a task, no need to stress yourself out.”
Gao Yang forced a smile, “We have so few people, and Djo’s guards are at least ten tis our number. Besides, Djo isn’t… Never mind, you know all this.”
Eileen softly said, “Yes, I know. It’s all difficult, but…”
Eileen looked at Gao Yang, watching him intently, and smiled, “So what? Who cares? I don’t care. Boss, just focus on the combat itself. As for us, you don’t need to think much. Everyone who ca with you is prepared for this. We chose this path ourselves, you don’t need to bear all the responsibility on your shoulders.”
