At the airship, Feng Jiu’s brow remained furrowed as she scanned their surroundings, but Du Fan and Leng Hua were nowhere in sight. A vague sense of foreboding arose in her heart, and she imdiately summoned the contract beasts in her space.

“Demonic energy?” Feng Jiu’s eyebrow arched in surprise. “I did sense that the aura here was sowhat strange, and I couldn’t utilize my spiritual energy as effectively, but I hadn’t considered it to be demonic energy.”
Beasts possessed an acute sensitivity to demonic energy, so if the Fire Phoenix identified it as such, its assessnt was undoubtedly accurate.
“Du Fan and Leng Hua went out to investigate and have not yet returned. I am concerned that sothing may have befallen them. You remain here and keep watch. I will go and take a look,” Feng Jiu stated, preparing to disembark from the airship. Just as she was about to step off, a voice called out.
“Wait a mont.”
Hearing this voice, Feng Jiu was slightly taken aback. She turned to see the masked man erging from the cabin. Observing his presence, she remarked, “Didn’t your soul depart from your body earlier? I thought your soul was unable to return here.” She hadn’t anticipated his swift awakening.

His gaze fell upon Yue’er beside Feng Jiu, pausing for a mont before returning to Feng Jiu. “I must take them away. This place is not suitable for them.”
Feng Jiu remained silent for a mont, her eyes shifting to the three children. After a brief pause, she inquired, “You said this is the Demon Realm? I’ve noticed that the spiritual energy here is restricted. How will you be able to take them away? Furthermore, the blood curse on Yue’er and Chen’er has not been completely eradicated.”
“The longer they remain in the Demon Realm, the more challenging it will beco for them to utilize their spiritual energy. Now that we have just arrived, I can still manage to take them away, but if we linger any longer, the outco is uncertain. Moreover, I have received information indicating that they intend to trap you here permanently. Even with your considerable power, it will be exceedingly difficult to tear open a section of the sky and return to your original realm.”
“I won’t go! I don’t want to leave Mother! Wherever Mother is, Yue’er will be too!” Yue’er exclaid, tightly embracing her mother and clinging to her legs.
“I won’t go either! Mother is in danger; I won’t leave! I want to stay with Mother!” Hao’er declared, standing resolutely by Feng Jiu’s side.
“I’d rather die than leave!”
Muchen also moved to Feng Jiu’s side, firmly grasping her hand and looking warily at the masked man. “We’re not leaving! We won’t go with you! Even if this is the Demon Realm, we want to stay with Mother! We don’t want Mother to be in danger!”
