Capítulo 4952: Prepare
Hearing this, Feng Jiu paused for a mont, then smiled and said, “This isn’t an evil object. In fact, it’s quite a remarkable treasure.” She smiled, looking at Yue’er, and continued, “There are no truly evil objects in this world. Only human hearts can be wicked.”
Her voice paused briefly before continuing, “It’s like a knife. In your hands, it protects you; in the hands of a villain, it takes lives. Yet in Mi’er’s hands, she uses it to prepare delicious als. The object remains the sa—only the user changes.”
Yue’er listened attentively, then nodded firmly. “Mother, I understand. I’ll rember this.”
Feng Jiu ruffled her hair. “Go sit with your two brothers outside for a while. Mother will study this Soul-Binding Bell and figure out how to release Mi’er’s spirit.”
“Mm hmm~” Yue’er replied before stepping beyond the screen. With Mother here, she had no worries.
Hao’er and Mu Chen saw her erge and quickly pulled her to sit at the table. “Little Sister, are you tired? Should we rest first?” they asked.
“I’m not tired,” Yue’er shook her head, settling beside the table. “I’ll wait here for Sister Mi’er to wake up.”
“Then we’ll keep you company.” The two boys sat down beside her.
Behind the screen, Feng Jiu examined the delicate soul-binding bells in her hands. She took one, infused it with spiritual energy, and gave it a gentle shake. A visible soul form drifted out.
Recognizing it as Song Mi’er, she imdiately guided the soul back into its rightful place. Watching the soul rge with the body, she finally gave a sigh of relief. She checked Mi’er’s pulse and found no major issues before rising to leave.
“Mother, how is she?” Yue’er rushed forward the mont she erged.
“Her soul is restored. She’ll awaken tomorrow morning,” Feng Jiu replied with a smile, handing the soul-binding bell to Yue’er. “This is for you. You might need it soday.”
“Isn’t this for capturing souls?” Yue’er asked, taking the Soul-Binding Bell and examining it. The two small bells looked exquisitely crafted, but the thought of it imprisoning spirits or other entities made her furrow her tiny brow.
“This is a remarkable treasure. Not only can it bind souls, but it can also capture them. Moreover, with it, ghosts and evil entities will dare not approach you.” Feng Jiu smiled. “After you mark it with your blood to claim it as yours, wear it. There’s no harm in it.”
Hearing her mother’s words, Yue’er dripped her blood onto the lock to imprint her mark upon it. Only then did she slip it onto her small wrist. Watching the tiny object adjust perfectly to her size, she gave it a gentle shake. The two bells swayed softly, emitting a clear, crisp sound that made her smile.
“Mother, look! It’s like a little bracelet.”
“Alright, you’ve both had a long day. Go wash up and get so rest!” Feng Jiu said, ruffling her hair.
They’d only intended to stop by the Yu family to say farewell, but this unexpected turn of events had unfolded. Fortunately, nothing serious had co of it.
Still, they couldn’t linger here long. They’d have to leave first thing tomorrow morning. If no one knew Yue’er’s identity as the Azure Emperor’s disciple, it would be fine. But now that they knew, seeing them all together would inevitably draw attention and scrutiny.
Perfect timing. Departing tomorrow, they could take a different route and, while they were at it, eliminate the true form of that soul entity from tonight and the faction behind it! On her territory, she would absolutely not tolerate anyone who dared to use her daughter to refine pills!
