"I was just about to take him back. Your arrival is perfect timing—co help carry him!" Feng Jiu said, glancing at Du Fan as he swiftly approached. She then asked, "How did you find us so quickly? Have you been here before?"
"No, but I had people investigate the Firmant Monarch, so I knew the location of his palace." Du Fan replied, approaching her side. After glancing at the sleeping Hell’s Lord, he surveyed the surroundings and asked, "Master, have you found the Firmant Monarch?"
Feng Jiu shook her head. "Strange as it may seem, I ca here to find Mo Ze but didn’t see the Firmant Monarch. Mo Ze was placed here, and the original environnt was highly beneficial for him. However, the area was originally sealed with Black Lotus energy, yet beyond this place, I can’t detect any trace of Black Lotus energy."
She sensed sothing was amiss, yet couldn’t pinpoint the source of the problem.
"Master, I have sothing to report," Du Fan said, glancing at the slumbering Xuanyuan Mo Ze.
Noticing this, Feng Jiu turned to look and asked, "What is it? Speak."
"Before coming here, Leng Hua and I descended into the deep sea to investigate. We discovered fragnts of a broken body that had breached the barrier you set. Master also ntioned it was a self-detonation, and only a monarch-level being could breach Master’s defensive barrier. But there’s one thing I can’t figure out: the chaos and terrifying air currents caused by such an explosion were imnse. How did the Firmant Monarch survive under such circumstances, and even take Hell’s Lord away?"
"My guess is he must have possessed so protective artifact," Feng Jiu said, pausing before continuing, "It’s highly likely he harnessed the power of the Black Lotus to control a Monarch, forcing them to sacrifice themselves as a shield to breach my barrier. Simultaneously, he used so treasure to shield himself while carrying Mo Ze away."
She briefly pondered before saying, "As a descendant of the Great Emperor of the Upper Immortal Realm, this Firmant Monarch could very well possess so life-saving artifact."
Hearing this, Du Fan paused and turned to Hell’s Lord. "Has Master examined his body? Did anything seem amiss?"
Feng Jiu, who had been deep in thought, looked up at him in surprise. "What do you an? Do you suspect sothing’s wrong with Mo Ze?"
As she spoke, she glanced at the reclining Mo Ze. Before Du Fan could respond, she continued, "I examined him last night. Perhaps due to the energies here, his immortal body is exceptionally well-ford. Moreover, I used the spirit energy from the veins within and the frigid aura of this place to fortify his immortal physique. It’s possible he may awaken soon."
She had indeed examined him thoroughly; everything appeared normal. This was precisely what puzzled her. Why had the Firmant Monarch brought him here only to vanish, leaving Mo Ze behind? What could be the reason? Where had he gone?
Hearing her words, Du Fan’s heart finally settled. He replied, " "If you say Hell’s Lord shows no signs of trouble, that’s excellent news. This place is rather damp. Master, shall we return?"
"Mhm." Feng Jiu nodded, helping Mo Ze to his feet as they stepped outside. A teleportation vortex materialized in her palm, and in the next instant, all three vanished into its swirling depths.
