Xuanyuan Mo Ze looked at her and asked, "What do you plan to do?"
Feng Jiu smiled faintly and replied, "No rush. You’ll find out when the ti cos."
Seeing she already had a plan, Xuanyuan Mo Ze felt reassured. Just then, he caught sight of the Azure Emperor entering the room out of the corner of his eye and rose to look at him.
"Still not awake?" the Azure Emperor inquired, his gaze fixed on Yun Qi, who lay unconscious on the bed.
"I expect she’ll awaken within the next couple of days," Feng Jiu replied, eting the Azure Emperor’s eyes. "Mo Ze and I plan to take Yue’er back to recuperate. With her injuries, it’ll likely take a year or two before she fully recovers."
Hearing this, the Azure Emperor gazed at Yun Qi on the bed. After a mont of silence, he said, "We’ll see when she wakes."
Feng Jiu raised an eyebrow at this, eting his gaze before adding, "One more thing—once Yue’er wakes, I intend to ask her wishes and arrange her marriage to Xiao Junyan of the Xiao family. As her master, what are your thoughts on this match?"
A barely perceptible frown crossed the Azure Emperor’s brow. "Xiao Junyan? That boy is unworthy of Yun Qi."
Xuanyuan Mo Ze, standing nearby, nodded in agreent, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Indeed, I also feel this youth is unworthy of my Yue’er."
Hearing this, Feng Jiu couldn’t help but chuckle. She shot Xuanyuan Mo Ze a glance, then looked at the Azure Emperor before concluding, " Truthfully, across the entire realm, I haven’t seen many young n of Yue’er’s age who are truly outstanding. At least for now, Xiao Junyan stands out as an exceptional young man—besides my own two sons, that is. And considering how badly Yue’er was injured this ti for his sake, I think if she feels inclined, we could arrange their betrothal now. They can wait a few more years before marrying."
With that, she smiled again. "Of course, if Yue’er doesn’t fancy him or has no interest in him, that’s a different matter entirely. Everything should be based on her wishes."
Hearing this, the Azure Emperor pressed his lips together, saying nothing. He simply gazed at Yun Qi, who lay unconscious on the bed, lost in thought.
At that mont, Feng Jiu spoke again, "Oh, Azure Emperor, there’s one more thing I need to discuss with you."
As she spoke, Feng Jiu rose, walked to the table, poured herself a cup of water, and took a sip before turning to the Azure Emperor. "You know the extent of Yue’er’s injuries—damage to all five vital organs, severed tendons and ridians, and a crack in her dantian. For an ordinary person, such severe wounds would leave them crippled, if not dead. But since she is my daughter, Feng Jiu’s daughter, I will ensure she recovers fully. However..."
She pressed her lips together in a faint smile, gazing at her daughter on the bed. "This ti, with her injuries being so severe, I intend to use this as a test for Xiao Junyan and the family behind him. Therefore, if they inquire, Azure Emperor, do not tell them her injuries are treatable or that she can recover."
Hearing this, the Azure Emperor’s eyes flickered slightly. He glanced at her and nodded. "The Azure Emperor understands."
Two days later
At noon, the Azure Emperor entered Yun Qi’s room. Seeing she still hadn’t awakened, he sat down beside the bed.
Feng Jiu had said she should awaken today.
After keeping vigil for about half an hour, he noticed Yun Qi’s hand twitch slightly on the bed. Seeing this, he looked at her and called out, "Little Qi?"
In her deep slumber, Yue’er faintly seed to hear her master’s voice calling her. With great effort, she lifted her heavy eyelids and saw her master sitting by the bedside.
