[3rd POV]
Billie had been fully expecting a full blown argunt regarding the fact that Haley wanted to move out. But instead it had been a rather heartfelt conversation that was kind of heartwarming. Billie had not been expecting it at all, but she sort of understood why it had gone that way.
She knew that Haley's family tended to...argue quite a lot. But when it ca to stuff like this, their argunts didn't go far. Mostly because Claire already could tell that Haley was not going to change her mind, that Haley was going to move in with Billie eventually, and they would live with one another.
Their ti at the Dunphy household had lasted another couple of hours. In which Luke and Alex were still out. As from what Phil and Claire said, they had gone out with friends.
Haley made a joke about Alex having friends, but she did hand over the gift they had gotten for the two of them. Phil and Claire would give it to them later once they got back ho. But they wouldn't be getting back until that night, so they figured it would be best to give it to them themselves instead of making Haley and Billie stay there for hours longer.
Haley had also asked if she could pack so of her stuff up and start to stay at Billie's more often so that she could get used to the idea of moving in with her girlfriend. She wanted to be ready to move in fully with Billie, so she needed to learn about how to live that way.
It was a pretty unpopular idea with Claire, and had started the argunt that Billie had been expecting with the idea in the first place. Said argunt had lasted around 10 minutes, and both her and Phil had decided that they would be staying out of that one.
That argunt had soon devolved into further argunts about other things, a majority of them not being remotely as important, but were coming up none the less. Mostly because they were all building up and this was the best ti for Claire to rant about them all.
It was honestly kind of funny more than anything, even if the arguing did eventually get to a point where Phil and herself had to step in to calm them both down. And while they had argued for quite a while, it was not a truly serious argunt, and was pretty relaxed all things considered.
They had apologized minutes later after Billie and Phil had given each of them honey's words that were basically just them bribing them to apologize so the arguing would stop. And Haley was not particularly pleased by that, as it would be giving up in her opinion.
But she also knew that they needed to leave soon. With Billie also inwardly agreeing that most of the argunt was Claire ranting than anything, and was basically just a huge waste of ti. But Claire and Haley obviously did not think that way, or at least Claire did not.
Their arguing was getting a bit old, and Billie was glad to know that Phil was very obviously agreeing with her on that part. The man looked more and more resigned with how his wife was acting, and was barely hiding his growing irritation with the situation.
And that was how you could know that the argunt has been going on far too long, as even Phil was annoyed and irritated with it. And that man VERY rarely got angry or annoyed at anything, and ant he had to do quite a lot of work to ensure that things didn't spiral too much.
So him getting annoyed told Billie what his limit was, and proved that both Haley and Claire had dragged the argunt on for far longer than what it should have been. It originally should have lasted like a few minutes at most, not what felt like literal hours in which they were forced to sit or stand around.
But finally they had been able to stop the argunts, and Haley had gathered so of her things for saying the night. The amount of supplies she was grabbing was making it very clear to her mother that she had made her decision, and that she would be staying with Billie for what was certainly going to be longer than a single night.
She had mostly just grabbed stuff that was important to her. Like her laptop, her perfus and makeup stuff, and a few other things. She had also grabbed so clothes, but Billie already had quite a bit back at her apartnt so it really wasn't needed.
And once she had all of that ready, they had decided to head off, but not before Haley had promised to co back to show off her car that they planned on picking up the next day. Once they had it picked up, they would co by. Also so they could et with Luke and Alex and see how they liked their gifts.
That and they would need to tell them about Haley moving in with Billie, and the fact that they were doing Christmas at Billie's apartnt. They had yet to have been told about that fact.
At the mont the two of them were in Billie's apartnt, they had just gotten finished putting away all of the stuff that Haley had brought, and had decided to have so...fun with one another.
And right now they were snuggled up after having so of that fun, which had lasted for around an hour. Billie had wondered during their fun ti if she should get so...toys to make it even more enjoyable for both of them, but decided to ask Haley first.
Not at the mont though, as instead she lay with Haley next to her.
"When do you want to go get the car?" Billie asked, as she heard Haley hum.
"Early morning tomorrow preferably. That way we can show it off a bit to the fam and then start to do so research about buying a house. That and don't you need to get into more contact with the Kardashians?" Haley replied, ending with a question as Billie shrugged.
"Not really. I've already confird that I am open to the idea, as long as you can join in teaching them. And instead of getting paid the money will go to a charity that I've already included in the email. Whereas your pay is up to you, granted they actually agree to the idea in the first place" Billie responded, as Haley nodded slowly.
"I'll do the sa. I don't really need the money, and I doubt it'll be that crazy of a paynt. Better to give it to people that will actually use it and that actually need it" Haley replied, not really bothered with donating the money to charity.
She liked donating to charity. It made her feel good, and she was really happy to see the others that were helped thanks to it. On top of that, it made her feel a little less bad about making so much money and spending it on luxury goods and other stuff.
Was that showing pity? Maybe, but she still liked donating regardless.
Soon the two of them had started to talk about other things, before eventually they began to fall asleep, as their first true day back ho had co to an end.
All the while they cuddled up against one another.
