’Hmm? What’s going on? Why do I seem like I am moving?’. I thought.

My eyes were shut, and I could feel the soft morning sun and its soft rays against my skin.

When I eventually opened my eyes, I had to cover my face a little bit, as I needed my eyes to get adjusted to the sunlight, since I had only just woken up.

I yawned and sat up after a little bit of losing my balance.

It was when I was about to rub the back of my hand on my face, I noticed that sothing was wrong sowhere. And that explained it when I heard his voice, "Are you alright, Anastasia?".

My eyes widened after I heard Nikolai’s voice, and at that instant, it felt like I could finally see clearly.

He was still in his Lycan form and was walking around my pack with on his back.

That was enough to make my face get red, as I noticed the crowd of werewolves who stood still doing nothing, other than staring at in awe and pointing their fingers at .

"Isn’t- isn’t that the legendary Lycan King?! Our Alpha is sitting majestically on such a legend’s back!". Soone yelled, causing everyone to cheer and making feel more embarrassed than ever.

I felt my face was going to explode.

But the bright side of it was that nobody seed to be blaming Nikolai for the tragic incident that happened in his pack that year.

It must be because they had all learned the real truth about him. He wasn’t the one behind it.

I tried to cover my face using both palms, but along the way, I stopped doing that and had to lean forward as I asked him, "Don’t tell you didn’t sleep a wink last night but kept on moving?".

That was enough to make wonder. Was he foolish? Or was he simply a lovesick fool who really needed help?

How could he stay up all night because of my stupid request?

I never imagined that soone like him was going to do that.

But seriously? How could he ask such a question? Did he not see the multitude of werewolves who were staring at us?

I wondered as I continued to stare at them, to make sure that I was not hallucinating things. After confirming, I brought it upon myself and asked him, "Are you not bothered that they are watching us? Aren’t you afraid that the news of this might reach your pack? Do you think your subjects are going to be happy when they learn of this?".

"I don’t care. Besides, they would not dare confront about it". He said to while sounding proud, before he asked suddenly, "Wait, are you worried about ? Don’t tell you are looking out for because you care about ".

I actually almost slapped my forehead in disbelief because of his question. But glad I didn’t.

Rather, I jumped down his back, shifted into my wolf form.

"Alpha Anastasia, is sothing going on between you and the Lycan King?". Soone asked , causing the rest to look at with deep curiosity in their eyes.

I sighed, knowing fully well that sooner than later, I was going to explain so things to them.

Thus, clearing my throat, I said to them to ease their curiosity, "Everything will be explained to all of you later. So until then...".

I paused to talk and shifted into my wolf form, after which I ran off, heading to the hospital, rather than to my mansion, as I wanted to et Aunty Penelope.

After eting with her, I had planned on introducing my twin brothers to everyone, and also planned on welcoming Aunty Luciana into the shadows’ pack.

And after I am done doing that, I need to get serious about the war.

For I fear that the battle between werewolves, humans, and demons, was not far from reach.

At this point, it was best for each of us to stand together. Because if we did not, that would make the enemies have a greater chance at defeating us and bringing destruction to our world.

Though that was sothing I could never sit back and watch. Especially since it had sothing to do with black shadow.

I returned to the hospital, with Nikolai walking by my side, of course.

He didn’t seem to get tired staying by my side. I wouldn’t lie, the closer he remained by my side, the more I felt my heart racing like it wanted to leap out of my chest.

I did not exactly know what that feeling ant, but I had a clue about it. Well, a clue I wasn’t able to bring myself to admit to him.

We arrived outside Aunt Penelope’s ward, and I had to knock on the door, because I had guessed that she might be awake, and it wouldn’t be right if I just let myself in.

"Is that you, Anastasia? Co in". She quickly said to , taking by surprise.

That was because she was still powerful enough to be able to sense my presence, despite losing her wolf, Aunt Paloma.

My hand reached out to the door knob, and after grabbing it, I stared at Nikolai. "Are you really going to follow in?". I asked him.

"Is there a reason for not to?". He raised an eyebrow at him as he asked.

’Just let him do as he pleases. It would be pointless to argue with him’. Elektra said to , and to be honest, she was right, judging by how stubborn and clingy he was.

I opened the door and entered, and followed in, without a single mont’s hesitation.

I just hoped that Aunt Penelope wasn’t going to ask too many questions.
