Alpha Dylan’s pov,

I woke up and got up from my bed.

The first thing I went to check was the ti on my cell phone that was lying on the table. Even with Lucinda sleeping next to throughout the night, I couldn’t sleep because, ever since I left the shadows’ pack, I kept on thinking about Anastasia.

Whenever I was on my cell phone, news about her was everywhere. About how she was a great alpha and how she was skilled at doing so many things.

And yesterday, other news about how she had surpassed her wolf appeared on the internet.

"Seriously, is she still the sa brainless Anastasia I knew?". I hissed and muttered.

"6:30am". I said after checking the ti on my cell phone.

I returned to the bedside and, looking at Lucinda who was still asleep, I frowned.

I did not know the reason behind this, but nowadays, I find her presence and the sight of her a little bit annoying, compared to before when I saw her as my entire world. I feel that sothing obviously deep had changed within my heart about her.

I stopped staring at Lucinda and entered the bathroom. Upon arriving in the bathroom, I removed my night trousers and stood under the shower before switching the shower on.

I wasn’t wearing any shirt.

As the cold water poured on my skin, my mind went back to the mont I received an invitation from her. From Anastasia.

According to the invitation, and the nine Alphas and the president of the human cities were invited to attend an ergency eting, where we would discuss the hybrid creatures and the wild beasts, and also discuss how we would work together to defeat them.

When I received the ssage, I felt an insane amount of joy because I had an opportunity to see Anastasia again.

I could easily go to her pack uninvited, but I hate the idea of others thinking that I went there for Anastasia and was chasing after her.

Ever since I received the invitation about the ergency eting, sothing ca into my mind. Anastasia must have purposely co up with the ergency eting because she wanted to see .

That must be it, because there was no way she would not love anymore.

But what was she thinking when she invited that stupid humans’ president?

I dislike humans. Although weak, they know how to create dangerous weapons. However, it was not as if they could defeat any werewolf packs.

They wouldn’t even be daring enough to attack any of the werewolf packs.

Humans are fully developed compared to all eleven werewolf packs combined, including that annoying Lycan king’s pack. I bet the Lycan king is so old man pretending to know it all. Not that I cared about him.

Because of how upgraded human cities were, no wonder most werewolves and rogue werewolves like to visit there and even move there and live there permanently. Surprisingly, werewolves (be it rogue werewolves too, who are currently staying in human cities) rarely cause trouble, because despite humans being physically weaker than werewolves, they are not to be underestimated, as they are cunning like snakes even though they are weak.

It was because of humans that things like cars, cell phones, the internet, computers, and you ntion them, ca into existence.

I hissed when I thought of sothing else.

The humans are so advanced in knowledge that they were able to invent tals that could fly.

They call those tals ’Airplanes, Helicopters and Private Jets’.

For now, only the humans have such ans of travelling, as they were newly invented and have not circulated outside the human cities that much.

But, I am already aware of the first werewolf pack that would have sothing like those inventions in their pack. The shadows’ pack, as they are very rich.

’What ca over and made reject Anastasia as my mate? I shouldn’t have done that yet. Damn it!’. I hissed as I was irritated.

’I want her back. She is mine. She belongs to . I am her mate’. I growled at my thought. My wolf, Gideon, feels the sa way too.

Well, I have a great idea. Since I knew that the ergency eting was just an act for Anastasia to see , I would bring Lucinda along with and make her jealous, so that she would stop pretending to be nonchalant and reveal her desperate love for once more.

My lips ford a proud smirk as I was certain that in no ti, Anastasia would have the urge to shalessly run into my embrace like before.

7:30 am,

The human cities,

It was sunrise. The noises of trees swaying and the singing of birds greeted everyone.

The srizing deep blue sky was beautiful, despite the fact that there were not many clouds in the sky.

The president’s house (House of Unity)

Inside the house of unity, the president’s bedroom,

President Michael’s pov,

"Honey, are you really sure you want to do this? Please, you must reconsider. I don’t approve of you going to any of the werewolf packs. It’s very dangerous". My wife, Annabelle, tried her best to persuade not to go.

But I couldn’t listen to her. Not when our daughter’s life was in danger.

I finished putting on my necktie and wearing my suit, and holding Annabelle’s hands and looking into her beautiful eyes that had developed a bit of matured wrinkles just like mine, I said to her, "Don’t worry about , honey. Think about our daughter. The Alpha of the shadows’ pack can help us. I believe you have seen the news about her. Our daughter needs her help. We need her help. Doctor Clara Hensley, who would have effortlessly treated our daughter, is no longer with us in this world. And our cities’ best doctors have failed to treat our daughter".

Annabelle lowered her head. She knew I was right. If only doctor Clara Hensley had not died, our daughter’s condition would not have beco worse and made her fall into a deep coma.

"I have to leave now". I said after letting go of her hands, and she nodded at .

"Go". She weakly muttered and didn’t look at .

I left the room, and went outside the house of unity. Two helicopters were already in place waiting for , along with the pilots and so of my bodyguards.

I had to bring so bodyguards with , even after knowing that it was useless. I was going to the shadows’ pack, a land full of werewolves, who are, at least, many tis stronger than us ordinary humans.

Of course, there are werewolves living in my Diamond-heart city, but the difference here is that I am going to a territory that is completely full of their kinds, with no humans there, if I am not wrong.

I went and entered one of the helicopters.

Two bodyguards entered the helicopter with , while the rest entered the other helicopter.

In no ti, both pilots took off and the helicopters were up in the air.
