Even if she had doubts about the young master’s attitude and decisions, what could that represent?

These words were actually Mrs. Li’s own. She’d seen those reports saying how it’s in her nature to be promiscuous and that she’s incompatible with the Gu family, a husband-killer, and so even doubting whether her two children were actually Gu Annan’s. The Gu family only acknowledged them for the sake of face. If they denied it, it ant openly admitting the wife cheated.
She truly didn’t know if Lu Wanwan could endure this again, especially since it involved the children.

The attention was much greater than six years ago, and many more people knew who she was because she had taken over Jin’an at just over twenty years old.
Mrs. Li hadn’t yet explained, but Lu Wanwan waved her hand, "Forget it, I know. Mrs. Li, I’m leaving now."
Mrs. Li watched her leave the villa, letting out a long sigh.
"Where’s the young master?" she returned to ask one of the maids.
The maid shook her head, "He’s been in his room the whole ti, hasn’t co out. Mrs. Li, should we knock on the door?"
"Forget it, we are only servants. Even if we want to say sothing, it wouldn’t matter. I believe the young master must have his own plans."

Lu Wanwan sat in the car at the door and only realized after she got settled that it was the sa car that had just brought her, with Arthur still sitting in the back seat.
She rubbed her forehead, wishing she’d never gone in.
"Just now, thank you," Lu Wanwan said hoarsely.
There was still a trace of a sob in her voice, but compared to earlier, she was much calr.
"Thank ?" Arthur was actually a bit afraid to see her, "Ha, thank for what? You really know how to joke."
Wasn’t this definitely sarcasm?
He’d been worried all along that Lu Wanwan, after hearing what he said to her earlier, might think Gu Annan wanted to dump her and that he was the one instigating it.
He wasn’t taking the bla for that!
